Chanming bargained her father's life for a black book?
"I want you to infiltrate his home and bring the black book to me, in exchange, I will save your Daddy." That was his bargaining chip.
"The black book contains private information that can turn incriminating when fallen to Daniel's hands." He said.
"I can't do what you're asking me for, I won't betray the man who saved my life." Fahsai rejected his proposal.
"Then watch your Dad die!" He threatened her. "No way I'm saving him if my efforts cannot be repaid."
This made her realize Chanming was the one behind her dad's debacle. Furious, she slapped him across the face.
"You have been there before, you lost your father too. How could you do this to me?" She spat bitterly.
"Stay in the present, the biggest issue is saving your father. You don't want to be the daughter who can save her father but chooses not to. That will be biggest regret of your life." Chanming reminded as he gripped her by the shoulders.
"I'll do it, get the black book because I'm not afraid of you. I just want to save my Dad." Fahsai relented as her eyes burned with tears. She then sent unsettled look his way and remarked, "I also want to help Daniel be less involved with you. I know the dirtiest person is YOU, not Daniel."
Chanming didn't feel very good after that verbal lashing, but his Big Bro's condition was his biggest concern.
"I want to bring him back to his doctor in Hong Kong." Chanming said to his right hand man.
"Let me go instead, you can stay in Thailand, since the plan to obtain the black book seems to be going well." Tiang Kong suggested.
Devastated by what she had to do, Fahsai dragged her feet to the hospital. She didn't get any moment to steel herself for the task ahead when Daniel and him right hand man, Chern Piu were already at the hospital ward visiting her father.
"How come you're here?" She asked him. Daniel peered at her face which still had tears in her eyes and said, "Your colleagues told me about it."
The two convened at the rooftop since Daniel was dying to know the whole truth about her father's attackers.
"Who hurt your Dad?" He asked her.
"They were just some people at a restaurant." She told him.
"I know you're lying. Tell me the whole truth!" He demanded. "Who were the people?"
"I appreciate your concern. Don't dwell on it anymore because my dad has already forgiven them." She said.
"Can forgiveness be used with people who don't see it's value?" He asked.
"Do you see the value in forgiveness? And if you had done something wrong to someone, would you like to be forgiven?" She questioned in return. Daniel guessed that she wanted him to be forgiven by Chanming.
"It's better than trying to defeat him all that time."
"It's too late between him and I." Daniel said.
"Starting over is not too late, one just need to sit down and talk. I might not know you well, but I trust my gut and I know you're a good person." She told him.
Before she could ask that he return the black book, Daniel's spidey senses spotted a man watching them. He fought the stranger off and the two triggered guns at each other. However, it was Officer Thep.
"I recently heard about your Dad and I wanted to pay him a visit." He said to Fahsai as he glared at Daniel. "I'm investigating groups of foreign Mafias who are wrecking havoc in our country."
"If you're referring to the debacle at the pier. I had no intentions for it to end up that way." Daniel said."
"You ought to know the results of working with an enemy of our enemy." Thep scoffed and Fahsai walked over to Daniel.
"Why would you want to induce even more issues between Chanming and you?" She questioned the latter.
"It's worth when it comes to the profile I'll make with Khalif's partnership. Once a businessman, always a businessman. Officer, you're very much welcomed to investigate into this matter."
Once alone, Daniel stopped Fahsai from leaving since she looked quite resigned.
"What had you been out to ask of me?" He asked her.
"Forget about it. You're right, it's too late between you two." She told him.
Big Sis Fai and Nuth, the assistant to Chief, arrived at the hospital.
"He's here too." Fai chortled when she spotted Chern Piu.
"It'll be rude to interrupt the man." Nuth, however stopped her friend from entering.
"What happened?" Fai wondered why Nuth was being overprotective.
"He's a Mafia and we better keep our distance." Nuth speculated. She even literally dragged Fai away for having to keep turning her head back to take another look at Piu's profile.
Nuth ran into Officer Thep who was currently heading out due to his annoyance with Daniel.
"Is Daniel trying to date Fahsai?" He asked her.
"That I don't know but I'd love him to, because they're such a good match." She said.
"She's almost half Daniel's size and it would be difficult for her because she has to constantly look up." He argued.
"Good to know you worry about the kink in her neck." She said.
"He's not good enough for her anyway. Once I find enough evidence, I'd either lock the man or deport him." He added.
