In the car, she peered around the seats hoping to find something. She was terrible at it. Then she noticed Chern Piu taking out a black book.
"Is it the Black Book?" She thought as her face appeared comical, but the right hand man merely read the Boss's schedule.
"Am I being inconspicuous?" She wondered as she extended her hand to reach for the pocket of the passenger chair.
"What are you looking for?" Daniel startled her.
"You're ruining your eyes. That work can wait." She changed the subject when she noticed that he was workings on his tablet. Daniel actually listened to her and put it away. Chern Piu smiled, to him, he knew his Boss was falling hard for Fahsai.
The right hand man however noticed that they were being followed and the motorcyclist opened fire at their car. Daniel covered Fahsai and held her close.
"Take the boss and Fahsai back! I'll be the one to punish those men." Chern Piu ordered the left hand man.
"It's too late, they're gone. Just take us back to the house." Daniel said.
"Who were those men?" Fahsai asked him.
"I don't know who those men were and I need to keep you safe for the meantime."
Fahsai thought back in time and realized it was Chanming's doing, so she succumbed and agreed with Daniel, despite feeling nervous about going to his house.
They arrived at the Dragon's Liar, Daniel's mansion, and Fahsai looked like a fish out of water as she glanced at the opulence. She got a text from Chanming to go to Daniel's bedroom because the black book might be there. Fahsai got so nervous that she bumped into Daniel when he called her name and she dropped her phone. She immediately reached down before him and picked it up.
"What's wrong? You haven't been looking very happy since we got here." Daniel inquired.
"The only thing that makes me worried is Dad." She replied. "Excuse me, I need to use the restroom." Daniel on the other hand got called away to meet Khalif.
Once in the privacy of the restroom, Fahsai picked up Chanmimg's call.
"Stop texting me. I almost got caught."
"I was just trying to help you." Chanming said.
"There's no way I'd get to his room. This is the Mafia's domain and I can't wander freely like a market."
"Make good use of Mrs. Lee, the housekeeper, the old folk doesn't have a good memory." Chanming told her.
Fahsai noticed Daniel was meeting with a guest, so she took the opportunity to sneak upstairs. She received detailed instructions from Chanming as to the location of Daniel's bedroom.
"What are your plans regarding Suer Khao?" Daniel asked Khalif.
"I want to take over Suer Khao's market place and make them a destitute." He noted.
"I'm surprised." Daniel said.
"Do you expect me to punish them?" Khalif wondered. "When it comes to important matters, I don't use force. Killing an enemy while they're alive is so much fun." He gave Daniel a creepy smile, as if sending him the message should he decide to cross him.
"So, is it deal done?" Daniel asked.
"Of course but I heard of a pretty little miss that is currently lurking around your home." He agreed to their partnership though he was a randy he goat, not blinking even once when it came to women, it was much more like a life skill to hunt them down.
Daniel headed upstairs once Khalif left, thinking Fahsai is in the backyard sipping tea with Mrs. Forgetful Lee. But Fahsai was actually rummaging through his room. She quickly hid as the door shut behind Daniel, clutching the book that had fallen to the ground.
He made his way to the restroom, while Fahsai hid in his wardrobe, peering at the man who started to disrobe. He had a strange feeling that someone was watching him, but he continued to unbuckle his trouser.
"Please don't take it off." Fahsai muttered. She got so bent out of shape about that, that she smacked herself in the nose with the giant book. She was about to get revealed as Daniel opened the closet door, but was saved by Chern Piu.
"Chanming is within sight." He informed his Boss.
Daniel observed Chanming with a telescope, the man appeared to be chilling by his motorcycle.
"I'm willing to drag the man in for questioning."
"Let him go on thinking that he's safe, it's better for us that way." Daniel said.
Since the coast was clear, Fahsai walked out of his bedroom. She passed by his office and overheard their conversation.
"The shooter during our meeting with Khalif turned out to be Suer Khao's former members. Chanming didn't have nothing to do with it but he believes that you ordered it to frame their gang." Chern Piu reported. "Why wouldn't you tell them the truth once and for all, so that they would stop messing with us?"
"I know him well." Daniel said.
Fahsai headed downstairs but got caught by one of his men. Guilty, Fahsai turned and saw Daniel's expanse of his bare chest, with a red dragon tattoo spanning down his abdomen. She looked up at him and he spotted her bloody nose and her eyes trailed the length of his pants down. She then flashed back when he was about to take his pants off. Then her bloody nose got worse. Daniel freaked out.
"Get the first aid kit!" He ordered his men as he scooped her in his arms. He placed her on the bed.
