Tang Yin stood in the same spot for 10 minutes. After he finished planning his next course of action, he lifted his head. His abyssal black eyes were filled with determination and an eerie glint.
He turned his face around and stared at a large mountain in the distance, which was to the east of Maple Leaf City. At the moment, Tang Yin was at his father's grave, which was located to the east of Maple Leaf City. He was staring even further east, towards a mountain. That was the location of Demonic Beast Mountain.
Demonic Beast Mountain was infamous, everyone within Maple Leaf City knew of the horrors of Demon Beast Mountain. Too many people had died on this mountain, including many powerful cultivators.
Demonic Beast Mountain contained ruthless bloodthirsty demonic beasts. Demonic Beasts were ferocious beasts who had absorbed Qi from the world to strengthen their physical constitution and gained abilities which were on par with cultivators.
Like Cultivators, Demonic Beasts were also categorised into ranks depending on their strength. Demonic Beasts were ranked from Rank 1 to Rank 5. These ranks were further divided into Low, Mid, High, and Peak.
A Demonic Beast with strength equivalent to a 3rd stage Spirit Channelling Realm cultivator would be known as a Low tier, Rank 1 Demonic Beast. Similarly, A Demonic Beast with strength equivalent to a cultivator in the Physique Transformation Realm would be known as a Rank 2 Demonic Beast.
Demonic Beast Mountain was divided into 3 rings. The Outer Ring held normal beasts who had not absorbed Qi from the world. Normal mortals who had taken the occupation of a hunter would occasionally come to the Outer Ring to hunt beasts to make a living.
The Middle Ring contained Demonic Beasts of the 1st Rank. No mortal would dare to venture into the Middle Ring, as it would cost them their lives. Cultivators sometimes came to the Middle Ring to hunt Demonic Beasts for their flesh and bones. The flesh and bones of Demonic Beasts fetch a high price on the market.
The flesh of Demonic Beasts contains the Qi of the world, eating the meat of Demonic Beasts could increase the cultivation of cultivators, even if it were only by a fractional amount, it was still precious as every little increase mattered.
The bones of Demonic Beasts could be used as a material to create weapons with certain abilities. These types of weapons could only be forged by cultivators who had taken forging as a profession.
The Inner Ring of Demonic Beast Mountain housed many Rank 2 Demonic Beasts. Not even cultivators would rashly enter the Inner Ring. Only those in the Physique Transformation Realm would dare to cautiously enter the Inner Ring.
It was rumoured that a Rank 3 beast lived at the top of the mountain, as all those who explored the top would never return. No one had met a Rank 3 Demonic Beast and lived to talk about it, thus it was unknown whether a Rank 3 Demonic Beast existed within Demonic Beast Mountain.
The reason why Demonic Beast Mountain was split into 3 rings was because of the density of Qi in each ring. The Outer Ring had a low amount of Qi, The Middle Ring had a fair amount of Qi, which was why Rank 1 Demonic Beasts resided there to absorb Qi to become stronger.
The amount of Qi within the Middle Ring was not enough for Rank 2 Demonic Beasts to become stronger, therefore, Rank 2 Demonic Beasts stayed within the Inner Ring as it had an abundant supplement of Qi for their training.
Eventually, Tang Yin arrived at the bottom of the mountain as he recalled all that he had heard about Demonic Beast Mountain and Demonic Beasts from the people in the city. He had arrived at the entrance to the Outer Ring of Demonic Beast Mountain.
Tang Yin wasn't afraid at all, this was only the Outer Ring, the chance of Rank 1 Demonic Beasts appearing was negligible. He fearlessly strode into the mountain with determination to become stronger in his eyes.
Tang Yin had never hunted a beast in his life, the biggest thing he had ever killed was an ant. However, with his Martial Spirit, he gained a lot of confidence to hunt down his first ever beast.
As Tang Yin strode through the forest leisurely, he came to a halt. In the distance, he spotted a boar. This boar was of the average size, by the looks of it, it had just reached adolescence.
Tang Yin crouched behind a bush that was near the boar in a soundless manner. The boar did not seem to notice his presence.
Tang Yin's eyes shone with a merciless light as he grabbed a nearby rock the size of his fist, this was his weapon.
