Judith entered her car and typed in the address Jaeyoon gave to her into her car GPS.
She was on her way in no time, feeling no anxiety or fear, courtesy the alcohol.
She wanted to find out exactly what happened. She didn't want to assume or imagine anymore.
.....
Milan was downstairs, opening the front door to leave when the butler stopped her.
"Where to ma'am. I can ask the driver to take you" he said
"Don't worry, I'll be right back" she said and walked out.
She called a taxi and directed the driver to follow Judith's car.
The man was obviously suspicious but he was just going to do his job and mind his business.
He drove for a while, and finally stopped a distance away from where Judith's car stopped.
"Is this okay ma'am?" He asked.
"Yes, thank you" she said and paid.
She alighted the vehicle and covered her hair with the hood of her hoodie and put on her dark shades.
Inasmuch as she wanted to find out what was going on, she didn't want her friend to know that she wanted to know what was going on. She wanted to see the truth, not the one that had been or would have been painted to her.
Judith wasn't going to a house. It was an indoor golfing game centre.
Jaeyoon liked golf, that much she knew.
She entered the centre and searched for Judith.
Her outfit gave her away immediately.
Milan followed and stayed at the stall beside the one Judith stopped at.
........
"You came" Jaeyoon said, his voice excited but his gaze focused on the golf ball he was about to hit with the golf club in this hand.
He swung his arm and smiled at how far the ball went according to the motion screen.
"Like I had a choice" Judith rolled her eyes.
He smiled at her reply.
"Want a drink?" He asked.
"Stop trying to be nice, we both know your heart is disgusting" she said with a frown.
He laughed out loud. He couldn't believe how entertaining the girl before him was.
"But I AM nice" he dropped the gold club.
"Yeah right" she scoffed.
His smile grew wider with every reply she gave.
She had an attitude, one he appreciated very much.
He moved closer to her and noticed her slightly flushed cheeks.
"Did you drink wine before coming here?" He cocked his eyebrow.
"And what if I did" she clapped back.
"Nothing at all. I just wondered why you were so bold today" he said.
"...."
"Let's get to the point, what did you do to her" Judith was tired of the small talk.
"Straight to the point huh" he chuckled.
"Just answer already" she was tired.
He moved closer to her, his face a breath away from hers.
His eyes examined her face. She was a pretty one.
He moved to her ear and spoke "what do you think I did?"
"Well..... From the way she's acting... Does it have anything to do with sexual assault?"
"Bingo" he answered without remorse.
She gasped, her palm over her open mouth.
How could he ACTUALLY do that to his cousin?!!
"Y-you assaulted h-her?" Her face was contoured in disgust.
"No, not me" he said
"But you organized it" she said.
"We organized it babygirl. Me and you".
"But I never said-" she began but was cut off by him.
"You wanted to teach her a lesson. Didn't you? One that would break her. I helped you actualize your wish, so WE did it"
"..." She couldn't argue because She low-key liked seeing her friend look so downcast and broken.
........
Milan, in the other stall, stopped moving. Eyes wide and filled with confusion, she sobbed silently.
She couldn't believe how loud and clearly she heard them speak.
She didn't fail to notice the gaps of silence from her friend which would be a confirmative answer to the question she wanted to know the answer to.
Judy and Jaeyoon.... Did this to me?
For Jaeyoon, she wasn't surprised. He tried several times when she was younger.
But Judy? Judy was her best friend, one closer than a sister.
She was lightheaded, she felt nauseous, she was disgusted.
She needed to breathe. She couldn't bear to hear anymore.
She left the place as fast as she could and got in a taxi.
"Where to ma'am?" An elderly voice spoke to her but she couldn't hear what he was saying.
All she could hear was tinnitus, a ringing sound.
Her vision was blurry, and she was unable to function at that moment.
Judy was the only person she had ever been very close to. She never expected that something like this could happen to her.
Her friend?
She wondered if Judy ever even considered them friends.
The taxi driver kept calling out, "ma'am"
Looking up, Milan said he'd address and the man started driving. He knew not to say anything more.
"Maybe she going through a bad breakup?" He thought.
...
In no time, Milan was home.
She didn't want to speak to anyone. She wasn't hungry but her stomach growled violently.
Oh right, I haven't eaten anything yet, she thought.
"May I bring your meal to you?" The butler asked concerned.
"I'll eat the table" she responded.
It was going to be a long evening.....
