Austin Hanson is a year above me. Known as the most popular guy in whole school. He wasn't very smart and studious but used to top the class nevertheless. All the girls were head over heels for him. I kind of didn't care though. No matter how a guy was, I just never found them attractive and handsome.
Just whenever I was thinking about Austin, they'd show up like they just did now.
"Mornin' Lynn," Steve greeted me yawning while entering the class. Mac jumpscared me from behind and asked with super excitement,
"Evieeee, Stevieeeee! New crêpe and coffee shop opening, y'all in." sounded more like an order than question.
Yep, these two idiots Steven Song and Mac Callister are my closest friends. Well... I don't think anything special about them either, except them being super annoying and clingy yet lovable and supportive at the same time. They are pretty famous too, I'd say they would be the next Austin just in fame not in personality or anyfuckingthing else, please God!
Steve was almost over 6 feet 2 inch which is really envious. His soft blond golden hair blowing with the evening breeze increases his charm by twice the double. He had just the perfect figure with light skin and hair till the end of his long neck.. He was the only guy i ever found beautiful, not handsome though. That's no one. He was wayyy too much flirty even with Mac and me which was actually hilarious.
And then, there is Mac with his super fluffiness, positive and extroverted energy except going around with the cringiest pick up lines of his. He was cute with his short height around 5 feet 7 inch along with his curly brown hair with a little bun in the back and his tan skin.
"You bet," I replied
"Yeah Macman, am in!" Steve said curving a smile on his face.
"Ok good! My drive, Steve's treat and-" Mac gave me a funny look and continued,
"and our highness's company is more than enough to please us." What a drama shit!
I gave him a disgusted look. See? Cringe pickup lines. Steve was giggling though!
KRINGGGGGG!
The bell rang and the class started. Steve went to his seat just beside mine and Mac went to his, just behind mine. Alright! History sucks!!! So not paying attention to class. I found myself glancing at the sparkly topper of our class, Zoey Malcolm. She had medium length deep violet (I'm guessing it's dyed) wavy hair. She was too shiny and colorful for someone gloomy and colorless like me to approach. Oh! About me. I, Evelynn, often, nevermind always get mistaken as a guy and feared by most, even some teachers. Girls being scared don't really talk to me and I never really had any female friend my whole life. Everyone used to call me Lynn regardless of age, gender, friends, foes and whatever; making me seem more like a guy. And I couldn't care less about something so inconvenient like gender. I was kind of, only kind of known as the 'cool beauty' to some people of our school but mostly in my neighbourhood. I was Super boring and not beautiful at all to be honest. I had waist length hair with unusual bangs always covered with cap making it seem like i have short hair with pretty normal looks. It's like she is the lead and I'm just a supporting character in a story. So I used to admire Zoey from background, like side character cheers the main lead.
Well I'm fine being me like that. I diverted my gaze and tried to focus on class looking forward to the crêpe & coffee hangout.
