"Lynn!" Austin called out in the hallway while I was trying to sneak away to the roof for recess.
Him again? What a pain! I turned around while adjusting my cap instead of ignoring him. Weird.
"If it's about yesterday, I'm not interested."
"Wait did we.....meet yesterday?"
Oh wow!
"Nevermind, sir. I got the wrong person."
He pulled me by my hoodie when I prepared to walk away.
"Woo woo woo wait bruh!"
I kept trying to walk away and he kept pulling me by my hoodie from behind . Every people passing by were joking about us seeing this weirdly awkward situation. I don't get pain enough for this shit. I stopped and glared at him.
"Aren't you supposed to be at cafeteria right now like every other normal student?"
"So now you know, I'm not normal."
"Always knew, you don't even eat there just going around doing fan service."
"Someone's jealous?"
"I barely know you. Now if you'll excuse me-" and in one go I fled from his grasp making my way straight to the roof.
"No you don't and so don't I. And WAIT FOR ME. BRUH!!" Austin shouted as he chased me down to the roof.

It's been a week and we've been having lunch together since that day in rooftop. I guess he isn't too bad as I'm not driving him away constantly. It's really weird. And well then...there's our new company, Neo Naclerio. Austin's best buddy and they are stuck like chewing gum for whatever reason.
"What are you thinking?"
"Why in the world are you stuck with Austin?"
"I chose it. Don't blame him. I know I'm too good for him but still," Neo kept on going while squeezing and flinching Austin's cheeks.
"Gay."
"I'm NOT. And so isn't he," Austin said as fast as he could which kind of cringed me out.
"Or maybe I'm an exception~" Neo teased while winking at me which made me crack up. But Austin didn't laugh only commenting,
"Ya'll should eat instead of goofing around."
"Says the one who goofs around most."
With that being said I got up to head out of there.
"Wait up Lynn! What do you two seem so upset about suddenly?"
I rushed out of there saying, " I hate homophobic people."

I was closing my locker after the school hours ended as I am just about to get out, suddenly a shadow comes from behind. Austin. Leaning over me.
"Hey."
I crossed my arms tilting me head up a bit to match his gaze. "Why aren't you taller?"
"Why? You like tall guys?"
"And girls too."
When I said that his goofy smile faded and somehow seemed lost. I pushed him aside to head towards the entrance. See? Homophobic.
"Don't go," he said grabbing my hands. And again whispers starts about us around here. I'm so done with this bullshit but it's not his fault people gossip about whoever he got in his life.
"It's ' let's go ', dumbstin"
He smiled and tightened his grip.
"I'm still an inch taller than you, so I'm not completely hopeless still," Austin whispered. I was a bit flustered. Weird indeed.

Thursday. Baseball practice. I've got a match next Sunday and it'll be my first time playing for the school! But guess what? Steve and Mac won't be even there. They can't be, that's why I didn't let them know
"Ok Lynn. Enough for today!" Logan called out and patted my shoulder. "Take care of your health and don't take pressure."
I was huffing. "Yeah, will do."
"Good, so why is my bro and his partner in crime staring at you since we've started practicing?"
"Not surprising at all, Logan. They're nuts!"
"They totally are!" He laughed. Logan Naclerio. Tall like his brother with his short dark pretty hair and black eyes. The President of baseball club and 2 years senior of me.
"They're an enjoyable company though." I'm surprised I said that. TOO WEIRD!
"I totally get you! Whenever Austin comes over, they burn the house I SWEAR! You won't believe once they both thought we were gone from house and was dancing in the garden nak-"
I was grinning until I got pulled over by my arms. Neo.
"STOPPPPPP!!" Austin screamed.
"BRO CAN WE BORROW LYNN FROM YOU NOW? PLEASE?!" Neo asked while shouting.
"Yeah sure, ya'll are hanging out too much lately. That's cool, Lynn's been depressed since his Mac n stove is gone" Logan joked.
"They would have killed you if they heard, you know! Oh by the way you didn't finish the story, Logan"
"LYNN, YOU WANT TO HEAR STORIES? I'LL TELL YOU," Neo still shouting.
"YEAH! I HEARD A NEW BAKERY OPENED AND I KNOW YOU LIKE CAKE, LET'S GO THERE," and I got pulled my Austin.
What're these two weirdos upto now!
"Can I join?" Logan asked. Still grinning.
"HELL NO!" they both shouted together.
"Why not? Help me Logan senpai!!" I cried while reaching out my hands towards him still being pulled by Austin and Neo by the both arms.
"I'll pass this one. At least you can keep those two away from making out every now and then!" Logan and I shared a funny grin.
"NO WE DON'T" these two really got some hilarious chemistry.

"So you call this rotten house new bakery?"
"But their cakes are really good, I swear!"
"Don't believe him Lynn, Austin doesn't even love cakes!"
"Wow you're everything I hate in a person."
"Let's just go inside duh."
We chose a corner table.
"You guys sit, I'll go get your orders" saying that Austin left without even asking what we want.
"Hey Neo-senpai-"
"Just Neo's fine."
" 'kay, Neo. You ever felt uncomfortable staying around Austin?"
"Totally! People used to talk trash behind me so much since we became friends in 9th grade."
"Why did you befriend him then?"
"I knew I'd have to deal with those stuffs as he was always surrounded by people. But he seemed sad to me nevertheless. So I thought, 'hey why not be friends?' and that's it."
"Do you regret befriending him?''
"Nope. Even though he's a huge trouble sometimes, I feel relieved around him. And ALSO even though I had suffered much I realized I loved him better."
"You're almost so good as Mac and Steve. But my friends still win that one."
"Hahaha, I bet. Don't worry I'll win over your heart too like I did Austin's."
"HERE'S YOUR WHITE FOREST PASTRY AND YOUR CHEESE CAKE, SIR" Austin declared being extra like always. He put two cheese cakes, a white forest along with three cappuccinos.
"Thanks man for the white forest. Saved me from the huge interrogation I ever faced in my 17 years of life done by the one and only Mr. Evelynn Holmes."
"My bad, you both are super extra!"
Austin laughed while grabbing the seat beside Neo who was sitting across me.
"Cheese cake's you favourite, isn't it?" Austin asked with the goofy smile on his face.
"Yeah you never cease to amuse me there."
"Relief! I wasn't wrong."
I smiled. Nah I was wrong about him. He isn't bad. I see why Neo never left him now.
"Did you see? Lynn smiled?"
"Yeah! Gotta take this rare shot!" and Austin took a picture. Fucking audacity-
"HEYYY! DELETE IT!" I tried snatching his phone from the other side of the table but he moved backwards holding the phone as far as possible.
"Ok ok calm down. On one condition."
"What?"
"Feed me."
"Huh? Are you a dog?"
Neo cracked up laughing so hard.
"Why you gotta be so unromantic??" Austin frowned. Guess he minded a bit.
"Ok fine! But not my cake it has to be yours. I don't share cakes, sir."
His face lit up so fast and he pushed his plate towards me. I grabbed the fork and stuck the whole cake in one go and stuffed the whole piece in his mouth before he could process. His face looked so funny that I couldn't help but smirk. Neo's taking endless shots while bursting into laughter. He's gonna die if he keeps this up.💀
After Austin gulped it down with all his might, he glanced at me,
"Hey where's the 'say aaahh' part!?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'd rather get smashed by a meteor. Now stop the nonsense and delete it."
"Ok done, see?" Austin handed me his phone and it really was gone from his gallery.
"Good. Neo send me those shots of Austin."
"You got it brotha!" Neo said with his mouth stuffed with cake showing me a thumbs up. I grabbed my bag as I have to leave.
"See you two tomorrow! Got some work to do!" yeah, have to visit Steve. Wait why don't I take some for Steve?
"Excuse me! Pack me up two pieces of strawberry and black forest pastries."
"Yes sir, coming right away!"
As they were packing the cake, I noticed Austin still looking at me with those dreamy eyes. I felt flustered again. FOR REAL WEIRD!!!
"Thanks Austin for the treat and the cakes really are good here."
"I'm just glad you liked it."
I took the package and rushed towards the entrance not to look at his face again.
BAM! I bumped over someone. Woah! What a huge guy.
"Sorry, are you okay?" he asked
"Yeah."
"I wasn't looking where I was heading! Was in a rush."
"Oh no it's fine! I wasn't looking too."
"Ugh not worth the run. She isn't here... anymore." He said in a really frustrated tone.
"If she stood up someone handsome like you, you deserve better." oh my God why did I say it!? Something Weird is actually happening to me. Did I really just call this random dude H.A.N.D.S.O.M.E!?
"More like I stood her up." he stated with a sad smile on his face. I gave him a YOU'LL-MAKE-IT-UP smile with a thumbs up and went outside as he entered the shop. I caught a glance of Austin frowning at me.
WHAT? IS HE JEALOUS NOW? I grinned by myself.... Ok I'm weird.
