Milas was not expecting to meet this person here of all places. He hoped that the person had forgotten him but a punch that broke his nose dashed those hopes. Milas covered his nose to reduce the bleeding but more gushed from his mouth when he was kicked in the chest.
Milas was on his knees when another kick threw him back through the double doors behind him. He skidded on the smooth floor before coming to a stop. He looked at the receptionist who only pointed at the door. Milas understood the warning and crossed his arms to block the incoming kick. The force behind it was rather weak and it took Milas a little too long to figure out that it was a feint.
The real attack resulted into a shoe print on his face and Milas laying on his back. The girl then proceeded to stomp on him like she was trying to kill a bug. Milas finally caught her leg and twisted it forcing her to kneel. He then punched her exposed side making her flinch. He grabbed the back of her head and slammed her down before pinning her arms with his body weight.
He was going to repeat what he did to her in the forest. Milas' left hand held her throat tightly while his right curled up into a ball and prepared to disfigure the beauty. The girl had learnt the hard way that Milas had no mercy for women so she closed her eyes waiting for the pain.
"What kind of man would hit such a perfect face?" A voice asked and the girl saw a man standing behind Milas while holding the fist that was supposed to destroy her.
"You're wrong, her face isn't perfect. Her nose is crooked." Milas answered and before releasing her neck and using that hand to punch her nose hence breaking it. "See?"
The receptionist who had interfered with the fight was shocked by how calm Milas was when hurting the girl. His hesitation gave Milas the few seconds he needed to land another hit. The receptionist finally caught both of Milas' arms and started to drag him away but Milas kicked the girl at the first chance he got. Another adult walked in the reception area and immediately stopped the girl who was about to attack the restrained Milas.
The two adults calmed the raging teenagers and the receptionist explained to the other man what he had seen. Milas was glad that the receptionist never changed a single detail but he soon frowned when he saw that the other man looked disappointed when he heard that Milas was getting beat up. Milas wanted to say that she had attacked when he was unprepared but he didn't say anything since he didn't want to look like he was coming up with excuses.
The two teenagers learned that the man was actually the head of discipline in the academy. The punishment for fighting without asking for permission to hold a proper duel was actually quite severe. The fighting party would be pitted against an equal number of second year students. The second years were allowed to use their full strength to beat the new comers till they work together like the perfect team. The punishment would only end once the new comers cooperate effortlessly.
Milas and the girl were now being led towards a building with the words 'Disciplinary Board' on the front. The building was divided into multiple areas but the two teenagers were led to an empty room. The head of discipline left them in the room and Milas was punched when the door closed. The girl was about to distance herself but Milas had caught her and slapped her across the cheek.
The girl suddenly went to her knees and started sobbing as she held her burning cheek. Milas was feeling conflicted as it was the first time he fought someone who cried. He was confused as to whether he should use this chance to exact revenge or if he should convince her to let go of past grudges. He was deep in thought when the girl made the decision for him.
She punched him in the groin and Milas' legs softened bringing him to his knees while clutching his manhood. She punched him in the face a few times before the door opened and two older teenagers walked in. The two new vampires took a few moments to process the scene. The male between the two immediately ran and checked up on Milas who was receiving punch after punch.
The boy knew exactly what happened when he saw where Milas was protecting despite his face being abused. A flask of blood appeared in the boy's hand after the clear crystal on his bracelet glowed and he gave it to Milas. The girl who was assaulting Milas stood in the far corner of the room while Milas was getting treated. The petite girl who had entered with the lean and athletic boy was the first to speak up.
"Stop wasting blood on him Claus. We were gonna give it to them after the beating we hand out. This is just a waste." The petite girl said to the boy who turned out to be named Claus.
"As a man, I can feel his pain. It is the one injury that can pause a fight between men. Besides, didn't you ask yourself why these two are fighting in the first place? Because I guarantee you, Veruca, that this guy will get revenge at the first chance he gets. So let's find out the cause of the argument." Claus said to Veruca and she started to approach the girl who kept attacking him.
"Can you tell me what he did to make you hate him like this? Cause there must be a reason why you keep beating up your boyfriend." Veruca said said which caused an immediate response from the girl.
"I would rather die than date him!" The girl said the words so fast and loudly that it sounded like a scream.
"I can help with the dying part." Milas immediately retorted as the pain reduced after drinking blood. The girl seemed to be pissed by the reply and tried to lunge at him but Veruca caught her and held her in place.
"You have a serious anger issue girl. So let's try to take things slow. We should all introduce ourselves." Veruca said as she looked at both Milas and the girl who had their fists tensed. The two teenagers were having a staring contest and completely ignored her. "I'm Veruca and the other one is Claus my twin brother. What are your names?"
"I'm her worst nightmare and soon to be cause of death." Milas said while glaring at the girl.
"And I'm about to kill you." The girl said and tried to break free but Veruca held her tightly.
"At least they can't say that we didn't try talking." Claus said and Milas saw the floor before tasting moments later. He heard a loud thud coming from somewhere else but he was trying to figure out what had happened. Milas could feel Claus' hand on the back of his head before he was lifted up and slammed down again.
Claus eventually released him and backed away. Milas was on guard while trying to see past the blood that covered his face. He eventually saw the girl who looked to be in a similar situation. Milas prepared for a fight and wished that his weapons hadn't been taken by the head of discipline.
"Since peaceful talks failed, the academy requires us to use force to make you get along." Claus said with a neutral tone but his face looked generally happy. Veruca had a wicked grin that scared Milas a little bit. These too were probably battle maniacs and them not cooperating must be exactly what they hoped for.
A thick red mist appeared from their pores and coated their hands in a red rock-like material. The coating was very bumpy along the knuckles which was guaranteed to hurt. Though it being his first time seeing this, Milas knew exactly what it was due to Deogratius' lessons. This was the ability of blood hardening, a small part of the vampire's natural born blood element.
The fight began but it became apparent to Milas and the girl that they were outclassed. It was a one-sided beat down, the kind that Milas had undergone during Deogratius' training. The worst thing about the current one was that the opponent used skill and not overwhelming might. Milas was poisoned by the hope that he could win if he pushed to his limit.
One hour later...
"Hi, I a... am Mil... Milas De .... Viers."
"An... and I'm.... Aileen Daw... Dawson."
