The Flower Festival is an annual fete in Ephemere commemorating the end of spring. The streets are decorated with the finest flowers of the last harvest of the season to show the people's gratitude for the bountiful blessings mother nature has provided.
The townsfolk would leave their homes and gather in the streets, each one with their own contribution, to celebrate this special day.
But this year is even more special.
Exactly an hour after noon, a horse-drawn carriage started making its way out of the royal palace. The Crown Princess of Ephemere was making her first appearance to the public.
The carriage, which was drawn by two white horses, was surrounded by the Princess's Guard. They were all on foot. Two of them were in the lead, walking in front of the horses. Four of them walked behind the carriage in two rows. The remaining two guards were posted on each side of the carriage.
