I continued my routine to the letter; waking up, caring for Li Yue, eating with Gao Chen, playing with Li Yue till she fell asleep for a nap, cultivating, then repeating those last two until night arrived.
When we finished dinner and Li Yue was asleep in her sound proofed cradle, I performed my wifely duties for Gao Chen, writhing pleasurably under her as she raided my womb again and again, but always rendering her seed useless with a quick splash of Dark Qi.
For another few months, that was what I did, and even though you could, on paper, view each day as the same, to me they were all fresh and unique.
I enjoyed my time with my daughter, and watching her grow and learn was exhilarating; she got a little bigger - both in height and weight, - began to speak her first words, which were 'Mama', and she had further refined her playing abilities, upgrading from one doll to two.
Her murmurs and attempts at speaking were adorable as she made the two cultivators fight, sometimes handing one to me and creating our own little battle.
Other than that, Li Yue also seemed to enjoy watching me use my Water Qi to create elaborate shapes in the air, all of which made her gasp in surprise as she reached her stubby little arms out to grab them.
On the rare occasions that Gao Chen wasn't cultivating religiously each and every day, she would humor both of us as she displayed her various talents to us both, giving us shows of Inscription making, Alchemy, and forging, while on even rarer occasions displaying her Saber techniques.
Those few days were relaxing and warm, as we all huddled around whatever station she was using and spent time together, joking and playing around as a family, pampering and doting on Little Yue as much as we could.
Each day was a blessing that I held dear to me, and I continued to thank that Deity for whatever luck they had given me, as Gao Chen had mellowed out considerably during these months, though there were still flashes of her previous self.
Moments where she would raise her voice or hit me, moments that I hated but grew to accept as just apart of her.
The flashes weren't as harsh as previously, and I had felt and endured worse.
Besides, those small moments were vastly outshone by the rest of the time we spent together, both as a family and as a married couple.
Anyways, it was during one such day of watching Gao Chen practice her Saber techniques that Da came in, the gray skinned woman visibly somber as she carried a scroll towards Gao Chen.
My wife's 'flowers' had been rather neglected lately, as she spent most of her nights with me, though I angrily knew that she still spread her pollen around to each of them when she got the urge.
Da in particular seemed rather annoyed at this sudden shift in Gao Chen's desires, but as a mere servant, and especially one owned by Gao Chen, she could never voice her opinions without fearing repercussions.
So, as I glared at the woman who received the second most amount of loving from Gao Chen, I waited as the tanned woman read through the scroll, her features relatively unchanging.
Furling the scroll closed, Gao Chen rapped the edge of it against her knuckles, before sighing as she made her way over to me.
Looking down into my eyes, my wife pursed her lips as she said "Seems like you'll need to take care of the little one on your own, little bunny."
Chuckling at me as I widened my eyes, Gao Chen placed a finger to my lips and silenced me before I could speak, continuing on on her own.
"The Matriarch has summoned the best of each Realm from Void and Nirvana to dissuade the Xianting Spear Pavilion and Crystal Dancers from allying with the Draconic Sect... which means stopping an all out war between them and some other Sects..."
Gently stroking my lips, Gao Chen muttered "It shouldn't be a long campaign, especially since Li Fen and Li Hui Ling will be joining along as well; everyone will go home in a month of two after staring at one another for a few days."
Releasing me, Gao Chen turned back to Da and said "Go tell the Matriarch I read and understood the letter before packing up some things for me. Ah, and before you leave, tell Ci and Bo to prepare more of those medicinal ingredients for Yi'er..."
Da nodded, shuffling out of the room with the scroll in hand.
Letting out another sigh, Gao Chen went to grab her Saber, storing it in her bracelet before turning back and grabbing Li Yue and lifting her into her arms.
"Hah... such tedious, troublesome things, these Sect Wars... idiots posturing to prove who's better at putting up false fronts and bluffing, wasting everyones time instead of cultivating to get true strength.
Now, I'll need to spend time away from both of you... especially you, little moon~ Aw, I'll miss you lots, yes~! Will you miss me, hm~?"
Smiling warmly at her daughter, they both giggled as they rubbed their cheeks together, making me smile despite my worries.
Battles amongst Void and Nirvana Realms weren't simple, and it was only a matter of making a single mistake for something disastrous to happen to anyone, even someone as talented as Gao Chen.
Almost as if she sensed my worry, the tanned woman grinned at me as she approached, our daughter in her arms.
"Don't worry little bunny~ I'll be more then alright out there, especially with Li Fen and Li Hui Ling with me. Though... if you still want something to... 'comfort' and 'soothe' you, how about we..?"
Reaching over, she grabbed me by the rear and pulled me closer to her, licking her lips as she pressed her body against mine.
Li Yue just looked between us with a wide smile, which made Gao Chen smirk as she whispered "See, even our little moon agrees~!"
Rolling my eyes at her, I leaned into her body and took a deep breath of her ginger scent, frowning as I muttered "I'll... I'll think about it... j-just... promise me you'll come home?"
Kissing my brow, Gao Chen chuckled as she nodded, whispering "If you give me what I want, of course I'll be safe, little bunny~!"
