This novel is dark with few bright spots, so if you were reading in hopes of a fairytale ending or some cliche cultivation ending of Yichen gaining godlike powers and ruling the world or something, I won't waste your time.
This is a DARK novel, written to be a 'realistic cultivation' world, where the people in power have different morals than we do, because they aren't like us; in fact, if they were in our world, they would be Gods.
What happens when a bunch of 'Gods' get together and live together?
Nothing good.
I hate having my time wasted, so I won't force you to waste your time either; if you are hoping Yichen gets a power-up and sticks it to Gao Chen before galavanting off into the sunset... sorry, but that's not happening.
