When we had finished dinner off, I quietly returned to our bedroom and cuddled with Li Yue, the days news weighing heavily on my mind.
A month minimum spent apart, with the likelihood of it being two or three months filling my heart with dread.
I wanted to go with her, but I was no where near her strength, so I would be just a liability.
That wasn't even including the fact that I had never once participated in any kind of spar or brawl; unlike Gao Chen, I cultivated only for the sake of extending my lifespan now, so that I could be with her and Li Yue for as long as I possibly could.
With no combat experience and no outside world experience, I wasn't eligible to go no matter what, and that was assuming that I was willing to leave Li Yue behind.
After all, there was no way that I would endanger my daughter willingly, and taking her to a place where a war may break out at anytime was doing just that.
