Indira then turned her head to see a tall man standing next to her who had almost a forty percent resemblance to Angka. This man was as handsome as Angka and carried a thick aura of nobility. Looking at that face, somehow Indira could already guess who the man beside her was.
The tall man put one hand in his pocket and greeted with a grin, "Hello, I'm Erga." He seemed like a very relaxed and carefree young man when he said back, "I heard that you are Angka's wife, nice to meet you."
Indira politely nodded and politely replied, "Nice to meet you too."
Erga observed Indira up and down before commenting, "You don't look like someone Angka used to bring. Ah, I heard you are Uncle Arya's daughter who just returned."
Inwardly, Indira silently sneered. She ruthlessly refrained from giving a mocking sentence to the man who failed to destroy Angka by snatching his fiancée.
Seeing that Indira did not reply to his words, Erga raised his eyebrows and said, "Are you really Uncle Arya's daughter?"
"Yes."
"Real daughter?"
"Mn."
Erga did not expect that the young woman in front of him actually seemed unflappable. Indira did answer all his questions, but it was not a satisfactory answer. Erga then narrowed her eyes and asked, "Why don't you resemble uncle Arya?"
With one movement, Erga bent down to bring his face closer to Indira's cold face.
The surprised Indira unconsciously took a step back until her back hit the wall behind her.
Seeing that extreme self-defense move, Erga straightened up and asked in a casual tone, "You really don't seem like any other member of uncle Arya's family. Why are you so cur-"
"Erga." Angka's low voice sounded from behind.
Seeing Indira who had just taken a breath and turned to look at him, Angka said nothing to the young woman and coldly asked Erga instead, "What did you just do?"
"Big brother." Erga put on a fake smile and said again, "I just got acquainted with sister-in-law."
Indira frowned at Erga's greeting to Angka, but decided not to say anything.
"You made her anxious, apologize quickly." Angka took a step forward and stood quite close to Erga.
Erga calmly replied, "I apologized before."
"I didn't hear that." Angka looked at Erga with a cold gaze that looked very sharp.
The smile on Erga's face gradually faded. But it was only a moment before he shrugged his shoulders dismissively, smiled again, and said to Indira, "I'm sorry that I acted impolitely."
Indira just nodded and a waiter suddenly approached Angka to tell him that everyone was welcome to sit at the dining table.
As Angka's wife, Indira had to sit in the chair closest to her husband, but not far enough from the man's father. Indira licked her lower lip clumsily before glancing silently at her father-in-law's tense, expressionless face.
At the same time, Erga suddenly smiled brightly as he said, "Uncle, my father apologizes that he can't come tonight, but he already told me to prepare a happy birthday gift for uncle."
"Give my thanks to your father, Erga." Abi nodded briefly then signaled the waiter to remove Erga's gift from the dining table.
Not stopping there, Erga opened his mouth again and regretfully said, "I also came tonight to sincerely apologize to my brother for unintentionally messing up his future plans." The man then smiled gently at Indira before continuing, "Ah, I heard that my current sister-in-law is Rahayu's half-sister. I'm a little surprised to see that she doesn't resemble Uncle Arya at all. Is she really Uncle Arya's biological daughter?"
Angka looked very calm, but his expression gradually became more and more gloomy. Indira who was sitting beside him could sense the change in the man's mood, but decided to play dumb. Angka had already warned her that she should just be polite and not answer if it wasn't important, so Indira just stared at the food in front of her with an indifferent look.
Fortunately, another uncle noticed that the atmosphere at the dinner table had now turned heavier, he gleefully laughed softly before saying, "I brought a hundred-year-old wine for you, brother. Would you like to open it now?"
Abi smiled politely and nodded quietly in response.
The birthday banquet was more like a businessman's banquet as their conversations were always work-related. Indira ate and drank quietly with no intention of distinguishing herself. Her only wish at the moment was that she could go home and sleep early. But despite not seeming interested in the people around her, Indira could still clearly feel the curious gaze that Erga had been blatantly directing at her.
Indira knew that the man seemed to be trying to find another thing so that he could humiliate Indira tonight. From Erga's point of view, Indira knew that the man must have been disturbed by her presence at Angka's side at this time which ruined the plans that he might have carefully prepared. Indira was willing to bet that after makes Rahayu pregnant, Erga must have triumphantly thought that he had humiliated Angka, so he must have been really surprised to see that Angka looked ordinary and even came with another woman tonight.
Speaking of Rahayu, Indira was filled with mixed feelings. She didn't feel jealous of the luxurious life Arya Wiratama had given the young woman all these years. She always saw Rahayu's private life on social media, but Indira never paid much attention to it. Indira just couldn't believe that fate had managed to connect them so that they could suddenly have this kind of complicated relationship. It was hard for Indira to get over the fact that what she had now should have belonged to Rahayu. If she hadn't done something stupid and managed to marry Angka, their wedding would have been a grand affair with great media coverage.
Indira never wanted anything like that because that was Rahayu's life, but Indira couldn't lie to herself that she felt a little happy to have become Angka's wife.
