Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

No matter how complicated Indira was feeling at the moment, her face remained calm as she asked, "How to confirm such a thing? I dont know Rahayu at all."

"Ask her directly. Try to provoke her and observe how she reacts. Both Rahayu and Erga are suspicious of me. Besides, it's also impossible for me to get too close to another man's woman. Unlike me, I'm sure that Rahayu will even approach you on her own initiative because she's just as curious as Erga." Angka explained calmly, but his eyes seemed to grow colder.

After hesitating for a few moments, Indira said, "Angka, I'm sorry but I don't know how to do that kind of thing."

"For a young lady from a respected family like Rahayu, it would tarnish her great name. So if you give her a provocation that involves her good name and things like that, she will definitely get angry and will inadvertently expose something we didn't expect."

Hearing that analysis, Indira felt the nape of her neck being blown by cold air that gave her goosebumps. After taking a short breath, Indira asked again, "What if your guess is wrong? What if it turns out that Erga really did impregnate Rahayu?"

Angka casually shrugged both shoulders with an indifferent look as he said, "Don't think about that too much."

Indira was silent for a moment before answering, "Ok."

Indira knew that she couldn't refuse Arga at all because every word Angka said was undoubtedly an order for her.

While Indira was still lost in her own thoughts, Angka surprisingly said, "For you this is a request outside the scope of our contract, so in return, you can also make a request." Smiling slightly, Angka said, "Now you have another cake on your plate."

Angka was an accomplished businessman who always followed the essence of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, so he felt uneasy about being given something without giving something in return.

But Angka never expected that Indira would instead carefully reply, "Can I have your personal cell phone number?"

Angka narrowed his eyes to give Indira a probing look.

Seeing that, Indira quickly explained, "I really can't think of anything else for now. I don't have anything else I can think of right now, so could you give me a chance to postpone my request? Give me time to think until this weekend." Indira paused for a moment before continuing, "I have no other intentions."

The corners of Angka's lips lifted slightly and Indira's heart nearly leapt out of her throat. The almost untraceable smile looked a little mocking so Indira didn't know what to do.

After a few very quiet seconds, Angka thrust his cell phone at Indira and said, "Of course I'll give you my cell phone number."

Once she finished exchanging cell phone numbers with Angka, Indira returned to her room with her heart beating fast. For the umpteenth time Indira realized that she and Angka were very different. The man showed little of himself to others and hid a lot behind his very wide back. That man was an unpredictable person.

While thinking about that, Indira then sat on the edge of her bed and opened the profile picture of Angka's cell phone number which was just a plain black picture. Indira subconsciously raised her hand and rubbed the front of her chest which was pounding strongly because she was happy that she could be a little closer to Angka and could even contact him personally at any time. Indira knew that such thoughts were actually very dangerous for their contract marriage, especially for herself. But other than the little false hope she secretly harbored, what else could Indira give herself when she was close to a man as handsome as Angka?

Indira knew that sooner or later she would be reunited with Arya Wiratama and the half-sister she had never met. But even though she had never met her husband's ex-fiancé, Indira had seen that small round face too many times on her cell phone and other screens.

When Arya Wiratama saw Indira, he quickly showed fake affection towards the unwanted illegitimate child, as if he was afraid of offending Angka by disrespecting her. Arya smiled falsely and greeted in a weak voice laden with affection, "Ah my daughter has finally come."

Indira held back her disgust and greeted back, "Hello, Father." Afterward, Indira's beautiful eyes passed over Arya Wiratama to look at the beautiful figure standing behind him.

Even if photos and videos of Rahayu were posted all over the internet, even if Indira was sick of seeing that face all over the media all the time, Indira still couldn't help but be surprised that the beauty looked even more attractive in person.

Rahayu Wiratama was as beautiful as a doll created by a technology called artificial intelligence. Rahayu gracefully tucked her soft hair behind her ear before gently greeting Angka beside Indira with a sweet smile.

"Hello, Angka." Rahayu walked over and without any fear exchanged a glance with Angka as she again said, "Long time no see."

Angka smiled and said, "I see you a lot on the internet."

"Don't be like that. I make money selling my face on the internet, but the money I make can't compare to the money you have." Rahayu smiled charmingly, enthusiastically, and seemed to deliberately send an implicit tease. But that flirtatious gaze suddenly seemed to turn calm when she greeted Indira in a soft voice, "Hi, nice to meet you."

Indira smiled back and nodded while saying, "Hello, nice to meet you."

Rahayu silently looked at Indira with an appraising gaze and smiled wryly. She seemed to want to say something, but chose to remain silent.

Indira had never felt that she was a person with quite sensitive feelings, but Rahayu's nature definitely seemed more insulting than the insult Erga had directly given her that night. Indira remained silent because she was quite aware of her own position.

"Where's Erga?" asked Angka calmly.

"He's a little late." Rahayu glanced at her cell phone before saying, "he should be here any minute."

"You two should talk for a while because Mr. Arya and I have something to discuss." Angka then signaled Arya Wiratama.

Arya Wiratama swiftly said, "Raha, please take Dira to rest."

"Yes, Father."

After Angka and Arya Wiratama walked away, Indira and Rahayu stood alone in their place and time seemed to freeze for a while. Indira was not the type of person who was afraid or shy of outsiders, yet she just chose to stand still in her place with a blank stare. Indira knew that she had indeed promised Angka to seek information from Rahayu, but Indira knew that such a conversation could not happen if Rahayu did not go easy on her and speak to her first, hence Indira chose to keep her lips sealed.
