Larisa was a bit sad that she couldn't touch V but she swept it at the back of her mind knowing how easily jealous he got when it came to her. The concert ended and Lothaire didn't waste anytime in leaving with her. Finally he was free from the hellhole and the head splitting noise.
They drove off in the car and arrived at the underground parking lot in the apartment. He stopped the car and his eyes narrowed down to a black van seated at one corner of the parking lot. It wasn't unusual but the male voices he heard with the aid of his heightened senses, coming from the van was definitely worth suspecting.
"I'll personally get the fucker's head for my little bro as a gift for finally joining the family's business." Jason said, in a rather high state.
The masked men didn't say a word as they equipped their guns, ready to invade Larisa's apartment and get the job done.
Larisa was about to get off the car when he stopped her.
"Stay here, I'll be right back." He ordered and she stared at him confused but she obeyed as she sat back in the car.
"Where are you going to?" She asked in alert, thinking he was already hungry and was going to drain someone dry.
"Don't be stubborn and wait here!" He said with a serious facial expression as he heard the clicking of guns from the van with the aid of his heightened senses.
"But..." Larisa wanted to say more, scared he was going to take another life but he shot her a hard look and she stopped talking as she pressed her lips in a thin line and she watched him exit the car.
Lothaire noticed the CCTV cams had stopped working because he could no longer hear the faint buzzing sound cams produced which meant it was working, it was obvious to him that someone had tampered with the cameras and for a dangerous reason and it didn't sit well with him since his Angel lived there.
He strode towards the van and he held the handle of the door to open it, using one swift movement, he effortlessly ripped the door apart with his bare hands and threw it on the floor. He didn't care if they knew what he was because they'd be dead in a minute.
The masked men stared at him in a state of shock, confusion and disbelief, they all wondered what was happening but they had to shake it off and get to business as professionals.
Lothaire noticed they were five in numbers and they were all masked except one man who looked like a drug addict, no doubt because he could smell the aftermath of the cocaine and cigars on him.
"It's him!" He heard one of the masked men say in alert, he could hear their racing hearts in fear just by staring into his golden eyes but they still took out their guns and aimed for his head.
Lothaire realized what was going on, the masked men had come for him to kill him which was pretty ironic but he would soon find out the reason why. A devilish grin appeared on his face as he occupied space inside the van, they trembled when the terrifying man entered the van, the masked men instinctively moved back slowly, still pointing their guns at him. They were the ones with weapons but they trembled like they were the ones being surrounded with guns.
"What are you waiting for! Shoot him!" Jason ordered impatiently and Lothaire realized he was their boss but he couldn't figure out why he was wanted dead but he would find out soon enough.
The masked men unloaded their bullets at him but a gust of spine chilling wind brushed past them with Lothaire disappearing from the position he was in and their mouths parted in fear and shock. One of the masked men felt a dark presence behind him and when the others looked, it was Lothaire, he placed his hand on his head and neck and twisted it with so much force, it broke like a twig, his bones pierced out of his skin and he dropped dead on the floor, leaving the others terrified to their bones.
The masked men were utterly in a state of horror as they realized the strange man was not of this world but it was hard for them to gulp down the truth. They pointed their guns at him again and unloaded their bullets again with shaky hands but he dodged each bullet with inhumane speed. He took a knife atop the small table as he viciously slit one of the masked men's throat and blood gouged out of it, spraying everywhere in the van, he held his bleeding throat as he gagged with blood spurting out of his mouth and he slumped down limply, which left them in terror because Lothaire moved like a wind with precise and inhumanely fast movements.
They started decreasing one by one as he plunged another in the throat ruthlessly, making blood spray on his face and he slashed the last one in the stomach with numerous strikes. The four masked men laid dead on the floor in a pool of their own blood.
Lothaire could hear the racing heart of Jason as he crouched at one side of the van, chest heaving heavily in fear. The strange creature felt like darkness itself and the embodiment of evil, he found it hard to breathe.
"W...What are you?" Lothaire heard Jason question as he turned to face him, his golden eyes peered at him. His face had blood on it and his clothes were soaked as well in blood which made him look even more dangerous, his presence was terrifying and blood curdling.
Lothaire towered above him and then he squatted down at his level with dark eyes as he locked his intimidating gaze with him.
"Why were you after me?" Lothaire asked firmly, his deep voice made Jason's bones shrivel up in terror as his aura darkened. As much as he was afraid of the strange creature, he knew he wasn't going to repeat himself again so he spoke.
"I..I w..was only do..doing it for my brother, he said you threatened to kill him a..and h..his wo..woman was in danger..." Jason stuttered uncontrollably as he sweated profusely all over his body in fear.
"Danny..." Lothaire drawled with a darkened face as a devilish grin cut through his lips. Jason wondered how he knew his little brother's name.
"P..please d...don't kill me..." Jason pleaded for his life as sweat dripped on his face, his heart thumped loudly in his ribcage.
"You should be thanking me for giving you such a painless death and showing your family mercy by killing them in a human way." Lothaire said with a hard emotionless voice, his cold golden eyes devoid of empathy and emotion. He would have given them a spectacular torture before death but he had to kill them in a human way to avoid revealing supernatural creatures to the knowledge of humans.
Lothaire gripped him by the neck before plunging the knife into his chest, he twisted it viciously before pulling it out with force, blood flowed from his chest nonstop as he coughed out blood. He struggled for a few seconds before going stiff.
Lothaire took his phone and went through it, it didn't take him long to figure out who they were and where they lived.
Larisa wondered why Lothaire went into a black van after ripping the door off which meant something was wrong, she waited patiently for Lothaire to come out until she didn't hear the gunshots since it had a silencer.
She waited for a short while before her gaze stopped at Lothaire as he came out from the van with a darkened face. Her hands flew to her mouth when she saw him being covered in blood that was obviously not his.
She was confused, shocked an bewildered. Who had Lothaire poured his wrath on and why?
She rushed out of the car as if she had seen a ghost with widened eyes at Lothaire who was busy cleaning the blood from his face with a kerchief like it was a usual sight.
"W..What happened?" She asked with a shock filled expression.
"Someone sent hitmen to kill me, how ironic." Lothaire said as he laughed it off.
"What? Who and why?" She asked with a dumbfounded look.
"Danny Stone." He said and Larisa's eyes widened even more making her eyes twice as large as it was. There was only one Danny Stone she knew.
