Chapter 57 - CHAPTER 58

Lothaire watched Larisa as she prepared to leave for school, she knew he was watching her, peering his eyes through her body. She was glad he didn't bring up her parents, knowing how he was, he wouldn't even care about them but he cared about her feelings so he refrained from talking about it since he wanted to erase their memories from her head and only give her memories of him.

"Uhm Lothaire." Larisa called and his thick brows raised up questioningly.

"I'll go to school alone, you don't have to accompany me." Larisa said, she knew he wouldn't agree but she wanted to go to school normally and also spend time with Anne and only God knew that none of that was going to happen if he accompanied her.

"Sorry Angel but I can't do that." Lothaire said with a hard look and she knew it'd be impossible to argue it out with him.

"I just want to spend time with Anne." She complained in frustration. She loved spending every minute with him but still, she wanted to spend a bit of time with her friend and not attract any more attention to herself again.

"She can't protect you." He said sternly.

"Come on, it's not like someone's gonna try to kill me or kidnap me. We're not in Empire D." She said sensibly, her words were assuring but he didn't want to take chances but more of his reason he wanted to be by her side always was because he was purely possessive and jealous, he wouldn't be able to stand the sight of a man talking to her, she belonged to him alone, so he was the only man allowed in her life.

"I won't take any chances." Lothaire said firmly.

"We're always spending time together, I just want to spend the day with Anne please..." She pleaded with sad hazel eyes as she pouted her lips at him.

Lothaire sighed deeply, he didn't want to leave her alone, he knew no harm would come to her there but he didn't want to leave her side for a split second but he reasoned since Anne was a good friend to her, the least he could do was let them have their girl's outing and him tagging along would feel awkward. He stared at her hazel eyes for a moment before saying,

"Fine, but come home by five." He warned strictly and she wondered what he'd do if she disobeyed his orders as she thought the time he told her to come back was too early besides she wasn't eight.

"What? Five? That's too early..." She complained with creased brows at him in unacceptance.

"It's either you come home by five or I go with you and we can come home anytime you like." He suggested, it was a good one but she had promised Anne already it would just be the two of them, girls.

"Fine, I'll go. Bye." She said as she stomped out of the house with a frown on her face, Lothaire watched her leave with a smirk on his face.

Larisa arrived at the college and both she and Anne had taken their lectures together since they both offered the same courses.

"So..How are you feeling?" Anne asked as they exited their classes after the lectures had ended. Larisa knew she was asking about last night but truthfully, she didn't care what her parents thought about her anymore, she had buried the events of last night in the back of her mind and would continue living her life happily with Lothaire, with or without them.

"I really don't care about what they think. I'm totally fine." Larisa said and Anne knew she was as she didn't have a glum or sulky look on her face.

"That's great, you're no longer the fragile Larisa I knew and I think Lothaire might just have done a handful on you." Anne said with a grin on her face.

"Yea anyways, we should hurry up and go to our favourite spot now. I have to be back by five." Larisa blurted out as she got a glance of the time.

"Says who?" Anne queried as she stared at her in confusion. Larisa pressed her lips in a thin line.

"Lothaire...He's very protective, not obsessive but more like possessive and maybe a bit obsessive..." Larisa said in a tone of uncertainty and Anne just stared at her with raised brows in disbelief.

"Well, I think he's creepy and kinda sweet at the same time but more of creepy." Anne said with a wary look on her face but she wasn't really bothered by Lothaire anymore, he was dangerous but somehow, she knew he'd do whatever it took to protect her friend from harm but she didn't know just how far he'd go.

"He's not creepy, you just don't know him like I do." Larisa said with dreamy eyes and Anne felt it was weird seeing the Larisa she had always known in love.

"Yeah! Whatever, we should go now so we can get you back home early to your overprotective mafia husband." Anne said in between laughter as she pulled her along towards her car.

"He's not a mafia, geez you're so cheesy." Larisa said as she chuckled at her friend's word.

"Yeah, he's a dark prince, correction gotten." Anne said firmly. She was right, he was a dark prince and Larisa felt the urge to tell her friend the truth about Lothaire, she had no doubt that Anne would be rational about it and not freak out if she told her, but she was too nervous, as a secret as hideous as Lothaire's would make even the most rational of beings freak out and she wasn't sure Anne would take it too well, knowing they were both Christians and the devil has been an ultimate rival of humanity, talk less his son.

They were about to get in the car when a familiar voice halted them both.

"Larisa!" They could both hear the excited voice of Danny as he half ran towards them, obviously excited to see Larisa again. He was a nice boy and very good looking too, but he was incomparable to Lothaire, anyways he was polite and a gentleman and there was no doubt he really liked her as he had been trying to woo Larisa for years non stop but she just could never harness any real feelings for him and now that she was finally with the man of her dreams, there was just no hope for him.

"Hi Danny." Larisa said politely.

"I'm so happy you're back from your vacation, I thought you were never gonna come back." He said with a short chuckle as he pushed his curly brown hair away from his face.

"Yea, I'm back, it's nice to see everyone again." She said in awkward way as she gave out a small nervous laugh, she had always been bad at socialising with people and it wasn't her fault as it felt more awkward socialising with someone who had feelings towards her she just couldn't reciprocate back.

"Can I speak with you in private." He said with a charming grin on his face and his one sided dimple appeared making him look cuter but to Larisa, all she could see was a hopeless boy who would be begging for death if Lothaire ever saw them together knowing how incredibly jealous he got. Lothaire didn't accompany her but she felt wary and cautious that he would pop out of nowhere, since his moods could easily switch up.

"Well Anne and I have somewhere to be." She said sincerely as she hoped for the boy to leave as quickly as possible, sensing danger around the corner and she wondered if Lothaire was actually watching her. Anne just stared at the lad and his already married crush, she anticipated his reaction when Larisa would drop the bomb on him but she just continued to watch in silence as she laid her back on the car.

"Oh, I'd love to catch up with you." He said with dull brown eyes as he had a glum look on his face.

"Me too, such a pity we can't." Larisa said as she feigned a regretful expression.

"You owe me a date then, tomorrow after school." He immediately chipped in and Larisa fluttered her eyelashes at his words. 'A date with who?' She thought inwardly. That was never going to happen any time soon or ever, she would have told him she was already married but she didn't know how to drop the news on him and it'd be too weird to do it now.

"I can't, I have a lot of studying to do so..." Her words were interrupted as he placed his finger on her mouth.

"It's a date." He said firmly. Immediately he said those words, she felt the air around her turn heavy and cold as ice and when she turned to the direction the strange but familiar presence was coming from, she met a pair of golden eyes glaring at Danny hellishly.

"You should learn to keep your hands from what isn't yours." Lothaire's deep voice rang in their ears. Anne couldn't believe her eyes as he appeared out of nowhere and so did Larisa.
