Dae Hyun walked into the chairman's office, his face was calm and blank but his grey eyes burned with unknown fury. The Chairman looked up at Dae Hyun, he wasn't surprised to see him there. There was silence hanging in the air for a while as they both stared at each other.
"I know you sent a hitman to my house, to get rid of my fiancee." Dae Hyun finally broke the silence as he stated out the events of the previous night to him.
"It's just business Dae Hyun, I'm giving you a chance to make the right decision and take over the company, it was rightfully yours to begin with, blood doesn't matter." The Chairman said with no remorse or regret for his actions.
"Chairman Kim, how is killing her for your own selfish gain the right decision?" Dae Hyun asked rhetorically, his furiousness burned inside him but his face was as calm as still water.
"Dae Hyun, how did this company grow to it's great heights, huh? Don't forget you've gotten rid of people too per my orders for this company, so I was just doing the same besides why would you mention your fiancee in front of me when you know exactly who I am? I can't believe you're giving up this empire we've built together for a mere woman when you can have whatever woman you desire." The Chairman said and Dae Hyun's jaws ticked, he was definitely going to get rid of the Chairman after he acquired the company but he would make him suffer first after killing his son.
"If you try to hurt her again, I'll resign and abandon you and your empire, you'll never see me again." Dae Hyun threatened with an angry voice and the Chairman gulped knowing it wasn't an empty one and he couldn't afford to lose Dae Hyun, he was worth billions to him and a great asset too.
"I won't, but with time, you'll realise you made a wrong decision and sooner or later you'll come running back to me for the company and I'll wait till you do, I'll happily give it to you whenever you come back to your senses." The Chairman said with a dark chuckle which made Dae Hyun want to strangle him on the spot but he resisted the sadistic urge.
"That's generous of you to wait for me, if you're right about it, then I'll accept your offer." Dae Hyun said with a feigned smile.
"That's a smart answer from a smart man." The Chairman said satisfied with his reply. "So how is Min Hye? Judging from our conversation, she's not dead yet." The Chairman said with a short laughter and Dae Hyun's face darkened for a split moment.
"No, she's fine, I got rid of the hitman." Dae Hyun replied straightforwardly and the Chairman's laughter stopped abruptly, the hitman he sent to get rid of Min Hye was one of his best he hired.
"What do you mean you got rid of him?" The Chairman queried, he knew Dae Hyun wouldn't hurt a person but seeing as he was protective over Min Hye, he had doubts that the hitman was alive.
"Don't worry, he's alive." Dae Hyun replied with a blank face.
"So how did you get rid of him?" The Chairman asked again unsure of what he meant.
"I paid him off." Dae Hyun replied plainly but the Chairman was in doubt as he knew it was impossible to pay off a hitman who was on a job but they were all humans and you could never really trust them fully so he immediately pushed his doubts aside.

Dae Hyun had invited both Cha Eun and Yoo Na to his house to spend the night, since the next day was the D day so they would have easy preparation for the wedding since they were the maid of honor and groomsman.
Yoo Na watched Dae Hyun as he made dinner for them, as much as she tried to observe a psychopathic trait in him, he seemed even more perfect and normal in her eyes, she almost doubted herself. Dae Hyun caught her staring and she immediately averted her gaze from his.
"Are you okay, Yoo Na?" She heard Cha Eun asks beside her like in a whisper as they sat on the couch.
"I'm fine." She replied blankly.
"You don't look fine, you'll just hurt your brain suspecting Dae Hyun, I strongly believe he's not the killer." Cha Eun said firmly but in a whisper.
"Maybe you're right, maybe you're not but we'll find out soon." Yoo Na said with a stoic expression and empty eyes.
"Could you please not put on this kind of expression tomorrow? You're the maid of honor, so soften your face and smile a little, please." Cha Eun said teasingly but his voice was rather serious which made her scoff loudly.
They all got seated at the dining room after dinner had been served and they all started eating the delicious meals prepared by Dae Hyun. He poured the champagne into their glasses and they all made a toast to the soon to be wedded couple.
Yoo Na stole glances at Dae Hyun and Min Hye, she observed as he stared at her with emotions swirling in his eyes, it was obvious they were both happy to be legally joined together tomorrow. The way he looked at her felt like he was drowning in a deep ocean of love for her, Min Hye had a blissful face when Dae Hyun stared at her or gave her light touches that made her cheeks go red. Maybe he wasn't the psychopath after all or maybe he was but she would find out the truth soon enough.
"Don't you like the food, Yoo Na?" Dae Hyun asked as he saw her fiddling with her food, obviously lost but she had lost her appetite since Bae Ra died.
"No, it's really good but I don't have a good appetite." Yoo Na replied and he nodded thoughtfully.
"You should eat well and rest well, don't stress yourself too much and don't think too much, nothing is as important as your health especially when you're doing something risky, so try to eat, huh?" Dae Hyun said in a soft voice with concern. Yoo Na was left speechless because she didn't expect him to be so concerned about her and his words to be so genuine, it seemed impossible to fake.
"Yes, I will." She replied.
"So, did you guys invite your friends?" Dae Hyun asked plainly and she adjusted nervously in her seat. She had doubts about him as the killer but her instincts still poked her about him as the suspect and she always reminded herself that he could be the devil wearing the mask of an Angel, so she still wouldn't tell him about Jisoo as he could be the killer even though he looked normal and blended into the society as a perfect civilian which seemed like a perfect disguise for a killer.
"I don't have any friends except Cha Eun." Yoo Na lied and Cha Eun nodded to support her theory since it was clear she didn't want to mention Jisoo.
"What about you Cha Eun?" Dae Hyun asked.
"No, I'm good." Cha Eun replied hastily, even though he fully trusted Dae Hyun, he had to respect her decision and keep Jisoo out of their plan. Dae Hyun nodded but he knew they lied, it seemed like Yoo Na still had her suspicions on him but she was unsure of herself.
Dae Hyun showed them to their separate rooms after dinner had ended. Yoo Na went into her room and shut the door beside her, it was a nicely furnished room. She took her bath and changed into comfortable wear. Since she was there, she could make the most of it and search the house in case she would find anything that could give her leads.
She waited till it was midnight before she would start her search when everyone would be asleep. Her eyes didn't move from the cloak until it hit 12am.
Yoo Na tiptoed out of the room, she was confused on where to start her search so she searched every empty room upstairs. There was nothing worth finding as most of the rooms were being unoccupied. She entered a room and put on the light, it looked like Dae Hyun's work space in the house. 'perfect!' She thought as she closed the door behind her softly and tiptoed into the room.
She quickly searched through the files on his table but the were all work, she searched through the drawers, but there was nothing worth finding. She sighed deeply as she searched through the shelf that had collections of books on it. She searched through it but it was clean, too clean and she felt utterly disappointed. 'Where would a psychopathic killer hide something important?' she pondered inwardly.
She tried to think as hard as possible but her brain only hurt from the stress and she gave up, she turned to leave and she shrieked in fear as she met Dae Hyun standing behind her, staring at her with a blank expression. Her heart jumped into her mouth, if Dae Hyun was really the killer, he could easily kill her right then.
"Sleepwalking? Let me take you to your room." Dae Hyun said with a soft chuckle as he led her to her room and she followed in speechlessness as her heart raced.
