Chapter 11 - Chapter 10- Commander?

Abigail looked at the person she bumped into and was breathtaking by how beautifully stunning she looked.

She had long black silky hair which was designed as a bridal hairstyle, brown eyes, plumbed lips and a beautiful red ball gown.

"Are you alright madam?" The lady says in a British accent catching Abigail by surprise. Abigail had expected the lady to act out furiously after ruining her dress but to her surprise, she seemed rather polite for her liking.

Stretching out her hand, Abigail accepts her support as she lifted her onto her feet.

"I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" Abigail bolted as she bowed to the lady.

"I'm the one who's meant to be sorry" The lady curtseyed respectfully.

"I'm Duchess Rebecca L'chak" She introduces herself.

"I haven't seen you around here before," Rebecca mentions.

"I only just got here 30 minutes ago- I'm Princess Abigail from the Western nation." Abigail lowers her head respectfully as Rebecca became speechless and breathtaking.

"Y-your Majesty!" Rebecca curtseys again, this time, lowering her head

"I heard about your engagement with Price Carol, it's the talk of the town. Congratulations..." Rebecca smiles but then notices how unexcited and frightened she looked. It's almost like speaking of marriage would make her ears bleed.

"Are you alright Your Majesty?" Rebecca asked in a concerned tone.

"Can I ask you for a favour" Abigail voiced gaining Rebecca's curiosity.

"Do you know the fastest way to escape this place? I need to get out of here" Abigail whispered.

"Please-"

Rebecca gazed at Abigail shocked at her request but to Abigail's surprise, Rebecca nodded before grabbing Abigail's wrist as they both walked out of the longue.

"Why do you want to leave? Did you and the king argue?" Rebecca questioned while walking out of the main gate.

"No. It's a long story" Abigail uttered but Rebecca knew that she wasn't too comfortable talking about her relationship with the king.

"I know how the king's like Your Majesty. But there is one advise i should give to you before anything else."

"And what is it?" Abigail exclaimed

"Be careful...."

Hearing that, Abigail knew she had more than one reason to escape this pathetic life and cut ties with King Carol. Before she could ask Rebecca what she was relating to, one of the royal guards blocked the entrance.

"Good day your highness. We apologize for stopping you but ordered by the king, you are not allowed to go outside the gate without his permission" One of the guards uttered, his face slightly losing contact of both Abigail and Duchess Rebecca.

Rebecca scoffed while listening to the guards complain. She'd always known that Carol had a talent for being controlling. Especially when it had to do with things he thinks he'd possess, that she knew of, but she had never expected him to cross the line and dive this far in becoming way more unreasonable than he already was.

"I demand you let us out of this castle at once." Rebecca says sternly, placing her hands behind her back as she raised up an eyebrow.

"I apologize but the Queen can't step out of this castle. that is an order by the king" The Guard pointed out.

"Listen here you-" Rebecca screeched in a furious tone but Abigail interrupted before she could spit out any more insults.

"Am I prisoner here?" Abigail question catching the guards by surprise.

"Of course not your Majesty. These are just orders from-"

"The King?" She interrupts once more.

"I believe you should know that I have the liberty to leave whenever I feel like. Your King and I are not even married yet so as it is, I don't have any hiring relationship to the king, which means, I am free to leave whenever I feel like." She mentions leaving the guards speechless.

"You are most likely correct your highness" A deep but light voice submerged from behind as they both turned around to see the most attractive guy their eyes could lay on.

He had beautiful hazel eyes, Dirty blonde hair, and lastly, a white knight suit that matches his profile. He was a knight in shining armor.

"Your Majesty, Duchess" He bowed with a smirk on his face.

The minute he raised his head up, All the guards banged their weapons on the ground and hit the armored suits saluting him.

"Commander!" They all yelled.

"Commander?" Abigail repeats.

"I'm commander Xavier. Head Commander of the Eastern empire" Xavier walked up to Abigail as he carefully takes her hand and kissed it, his eyes softly lacing her's.

This was the first time Abigail stomach tingled. From the rumors she'd heard, The Commander was really attractive, some might even say too handsome to become one, but she'd never expect the rumors to be true.

"I apologize for starting off on the wrong foot Your Majesty. The King is just a little too concerned of your safety" Xavier lamented in an unsure tone.

"I wouldn't say concerned. He's too far off my feet to be concerned" Abigail folded her hands letting out a devastated sigh.

"You know what you're Majesty, You are free to go whenever you want" Xavier stated

"But in one condition-"
