Destiny has a way of connecting people together, and has a way of putting the right people in the right place, sometimes it's the wrong people, but all serving a purpose to draw you to the right location. I wasn't taught this in Alanor as a moonwalker, I got to learn that as I went on this yet to be defined journey.
Rona and company get to a village far away from Kalakala, not sure where they are exactly. Everyone looks at them in a manner that forces Kiri to ask Rona,
"Why are they looking at us like that?"
Rona replies,
"I don't know. One thing I've learnt in my travels is that when you enter a place and they stare at you in such manner, it's nothing good."
Just while they're still speaking, the soldiers in the village surface and surround the three of them.
"Rona, now might be a good time to draw your sword," Kiri says as Rona stays calm and replies,
"Sometimes, even a moonwalker keeps still in chaos, being calm."
The leader of the squad comes forward and speaks,
"Identify yourselves."
Rona replies,
"Rona of Ti'gen, my escort and I are simply passing through."
"Heading where? Have you not been informed that no one passes through Konduja, especially during this war in Bloodrock, let alone a moonwalker?"
Yunu and Kiri are shocked as Yunu blurts out,
"We're in Konduja!?"
Konduja is one of the most dangerous clans in Bloodrock, not under any faction or kingdom in particular, known for their hostility. Konduja has singlehandedly waged off the forces of Kalakala in the past, and have more feats to their name.
"You lead us into Konduja?" Yunu asks Rona who speaks to the soldiers,
"Stay out of my way, you know very well how moonwalkers react when they're pushed to the wall, and I'm not just any other moonwalker."
The soldier commander draws out his sword fearlessly and speaks,
"Do I look like one of those scared of moonwalkers? You will turn around and go back to where you're coming from, or you'll die like the other three moonwalkers who have felt the edge of my sword."
Rona gets angry as her eyes suddenly start warming up, about to summon her chaos for the first time in a long time, surprising Yunu and Kiri. And then, they hear a voice from behind,
"Leave them be, they're with me," says a voice from behind. The soldier turns back and sees the blind seer (seen earlier) walking towards them. The soldiers give way for the blind seer who comes to Rona smiling.
"Welcome Rona of Ti'gen, I have been expecting you," he says, surprising everyone. Rona responds,
"You know me old man?"
"Of course I do, I know you, better than you do."
"What sort of person would know more about a person who's just meeting him for the first time?"
"The type that can see your future, what you could become, what you could loose and achieve."
Rona gets more interested in what the seer has to say and asks,
"Who are you?"
The blind seer replies,
"The seer of Konduja. Welcome to my land."
ROCKY LANDS.
Yakoza is in a hut with some soldiers, treating their wounds. He ties up the cut on his leg and arms. A superior officer comes in and sees him and speaks,
"Yakoza, one of the brave warriors of Kalakala, injured like any other mortal man, that's what war does to you. Get up once you can, pour yourself wine and find a lady from the village to be with you tonight."
Yaki replies,
"I don't do that sir, I have a lady I love."
His superior laughs and responds,
"The stories never change, one among the boys who doesn't do other ladies, because of his love story. Those types don't last out here. Even your lady would understand that you need pleasure at this kind of situation. Do not go into this war without satisfying your flesh."
His superior walks away and Yakoza remembers Yunu's face, her smile, her skin, that's all the satisfaction he needs to keep going.
KONDUJA.
Rona and the seer are in a chamber alone, with wine before her.
"Care for some wine?" He asks as Rona speaks,
"Where are my companions?"
"They are safe in a chamber at the other building, being fed and treated nicely. You on the other hand have a lot to hear from me."
"And what's that? What is it that I need to hear?"
"Bloodrock is at the brink of destruction, and everything happening right now are signs of the end. A new age approaches to shatter this one we have been born into."
"And do I look like some magical solution to the pollution of the land?"
"You speak in concord to what I have to tell you."
"Speak already, I have not much time."
"Bloodrock will fall, but its salvation has been planted, a sentinel of change. We need that sentinel."
"Am I the sentinel?"
"Your job is to find the sentinel. You will eventually cross parts with this chosen one, but what you should take note of is the ability to identify the sentinel when you get to see him or her."
Rona thinks of this and then gets up as she speaks in apathy and a little upset,
"I do not care about the future of Bloodrock, or her sentinel. I have greater things to worry about. Now, if you would excuse me, I have a journey to continue."
Rona gets up and walks away as the seer speaks while she leaves,
"Fate has a lot in stall for you moonwalker, start embracing your destiny."
Rona fetches Yunu and Kiri, and heads away from the village, resuming their journey.
