It's been a while now, a while since I told you my story. I've been in the dark, trying to regain myself. This has been a heck of an adventure, but we haven't even started. There are more challenges ahead. Life could be the greatest disappointment at times. It always has a way of altering the plans of a person, twisting your journey. Moonwalkers would often say that life existence isn't friendly.
Rona, Yunu and Kiri are walking through a cliff, heading towards a wilderness, after leaving the blind seer. Yunu speaks to Rona during the journey,
"So, how did you become this? How did you become a moonwalker?"
Rona stares at her and then looks away, facing her way. She replies with a question,
"Why the sudden interest in my story to damnation?"
"Nothing really, just wanna know how women could become so powerful in this age. You think becoming a moonwalker has doomed you? I would do almost anything to have your strength and skills."
"Does that include loosing everything you love? Rewriting your destiny? Saying goodbye to all of your wishes of a better life? You said it yourself Yunu, almost anything."
Yunu is silent for a while. She looks back and sees Kiri struggling with a few luggage, lagging behind. Yunu continues her conversation with the butterfly,
" Do you have any siblings?"
"What part of leaving everything behind did you not understand?"
"I'm just asking if you have or had siblings, that can easily be answered."
"Leaving everything behind also includes forgetting your previous life totally...and on purpose."
"Wait, don't tell me you wiped your memory to become a moonwalker. Wait, did you wipe your memory?"
"Yes, yes I did."
Rona never wiped her memory. Like she said, she keeps it forgotten on purpose, in order not to reflect back at the life she once had, a life moonwalkers can never have, not in this age.
BARBARIAN BATTLEFIELD.
Yakoza is in battle, fighting through an army of barbarians skillfully, terrifying his enemies. The battle is extremely fierce, and several lives are being lost. Kalakala might have formidable warriors, but their enemy is called the barbarians for a reason. Yaki gets outnumbered and surrounded by the enemy but still fights gallantly, with a young teenage soldier by his side who's also holding up well, but scared at the same time, war is new to the young lad. The young boy is struck down and about to be pierced with a spear by a barbarian. Yakoza kicks down the barbarian warrior and pierce through his stomach with his sword. More barbarians attack him and he is injured on the leg. One hits his head from behind with a huge stick and he falls on the ground, weakened. He is shut out of the battle, all of his senses scrambled, struggling to get a hold of himself, to recover. He remembers Yunu's face, and he gets fueled with rage, with something breaking inside of him. Every warrior has a beast in him locked up. Sometimes, all it takes to force out this beast is a perfect strick to the head, a provoking one. That moment when the strike supposed to disarm your opponent becomes a key to your downfall, that moment is his madness. Yakoza is provoked, and he gets up in rage, driving his sword through the stomach of the one who struck him and flings him over, striking down another hostile. Yakoza is about to be stabbed from behind, but the teenage warrior defends him and slices the side of the warrior. Yakoza turns back and splits the hostile's stomach open. He turns forward and faces a group of barbarians, giving a terrifying stare at them, as some of his fellow warriors and friends regroup behind him. He leads a charge towards the group of barbarians ahead, roaring like a wounded lion, slaughtering his prey in the most gruesome ways. He cuts off the head of one as the blood splashes on his face, painting him more carnage before the barbarians. A spear is thrown at him but he catches it and pierces another barbarian through his mouth, bursting through his skull. One of his generals sight him causing serious trouble for the enemies and smiles as he gives a fierce battle cry and continues doing what warriors do best.
ARIDA.
Dilis is in his chambers, having a nightmare. In it, he sees himself standing as a giant on a huge battlefield, with a lot of dead bodies on the ground, blood and fire all over the land. And then, a butterfly with blue and red wings descends from the moon and lands on his head. The eyes of the butterfly turn red hot and he is reduced by a mass of energy to nothing, surfacing in a void as he screams in fear and wakes up. Breathing heavily, he orders for Galguntan's presence.
Later on, Galguntan is before Dilis who speaks to him,
" Galguntan, I had a dream, and for the first time in a long while, I was terrified and puzzled. I was standing tall amongst the dead bodies of my enemies, with great virtue. But then, a butterfly descended from the moon and shrunk me with great power. I was reduced to a point that I ended up in a void, alone and terrified. What does this mean Galguntan?"
Galguntan is baffled by this and replies,
"A butterfly in a moon in ten dreams, nine of them speak about moonwalkers, it's the invitation of Luna to battle. There's only one moonwalker who goes by the description of the butterfly, Rona of Ti'gen."
"The one on her way to Arida? The one you have failed to stop?"
"I'm afraid yes my Leigh, but I will do my best to..."
"Your best is questionable at this point Galguntan, having difficulties killing just one moonwalker. I do not care if you're overpowered or lack imagination priest of doom, kill that butterfly before it perches in Arida. If you need time to improvise an attack powerful enough to stop the moonwalker, then at least slow her down. You said she's being accompanied by two, go for them. The butterfly must not enter Arida."
"Yes my Leigh."
ALANOR.
Onelo is in the moonwalker courtroom, with three moonwalkers behind her. She stares out through the window, seeing Rona with her spiritual eyes. One of the moonwalkers speak,
"Rona is making a fool of you Onelo, she deliberately delays her journey with those two accompanying her. Send us to her, let's bring her head to you for mocking your mission."
Onelo replies,
"You speak of the best moonwalker under the clouds, mind your tongue. Do you know why she's the best? Not just because she's the strongest and holds her own even without her chaos, but because she'll never delay a mission or fail me, even when she hates me the most."
SOMEWHERE IN THE WILDERNESS.
Kiri comes to Rona's front and blocks her speaking,
" I want to know how to handle a sword, and I want to learn that from you."
Rona gives him a scary look and replies,
"The plan is to save your mother, not to make you my student."
"Why are you helping us huh? Tell me! It's not like a moonwalker to just help anyone they see on the way in such manner. Don't you have moonwalker business to attend to? Why help us?"
"It is of no concern to you."
"Perhaps whatever is making you help us should also make you teach me how to fight like a man. You can't protect my sister and I forever. What if we encounter an enemy that outnumbers us?"
"I fight better when I'm outnumbered."
"I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about how my sister and I can keep ourselves alive in such circumstance."
"As long as you're with me, you do not die until I let you. Back off now Kiri, or I will summon my chaos on you, I do not like being delayed."
Rona tries to proceed but Kiri still blocks her. She immediately flings him backwards, striking his back on a tree as she draws her sword and points it at him.
"Rona, please!"
Yunu says in worry as Rona's senses kick off and she senses danger close by, approaching very fast.
Strange looking creatures suddenly surface and attack three of them as Rona starts fighting through them. These creatures are short but very fast and swift, but moonwalkers have been trained to fight faster than a cheetah runs. A creature grips Kiri from behind and bites him on the leg. Kiri with rush of adrenaline and fright strikes off the creature. Rona throws her sword at the creature, piercing it to a tree. The others flee immediately and she calls back her sword with magic. Kiri screams in pain as Yunu runs to him and calls Rona,
"Rona, come look at this! Oh heavens!"
Rona hurries to Kiri and checks the bite wounds. The wounds have been infected, with black substance branching through his skin from the wounds. Rona speaks,
"He's been beaten by a dwarf demon. This is extremely lethal."
"Can you help him?" Yunu asks as Rona replies,
"To do that, I'll need special rare herbs, one we passed on our way two days ago. We have to go back."
"Can he stay that long?"
Kiri cries in pain as Rona replies,
"I can slow down the infection with a drug that will subdue it temporarily and put him to sleep, only administered in a way your brother will find very enticing."
"What do you mean by that?" Kiri asks as Rona takes out a leave from her bag and chews it. She speaks an incantation and then gives Kiri an extremely deep kiss, one he truly enjoys. Yunu finds this surprising and awkward as Kiri falls asleep speaking gibberish.
" I totally did not see that coming," Yunu says as Rona carries Kiri and heads backwards, speaking to Yunu,
" Take your brother's things and follow me, unless you want to get beaten too."
Unknown to Rona, Onelo watches this all the way from Alanor and is enraged as she speaks to the three moonwalkers behind her,
" Bring me Rona, dead or barely alive."
