My name is Rona of Ti'gen, most of you already know me as a moonwalker, the butterfly, the beast slayer. My story is one interesting tale to hear, one covered in trail of dead bodies. I am usually the one who hunts, who pursues my targets and terrify them. All that is about to change, all that is about to be reversed.
Rona is on the ground, weakened, with blood flowing down her head, and her own sword driven through her thigh. Her vision is blurry, her countenance doesn't tell good of her health. Her strength drains faster than blood pumps out from her shoulder, very close to her neck. With the blurred vision, she sees a huge man approaching, with eyes glowing blue, dragging along with him a mighty log of wood. He raises it high with great fury and delivers a terrible strike, and everything goes blank.
KALAKALA.
The King of Kalakala is in his throne room with a few generals giving him a report on the war so far. One of his generals speak,
"We have lost seven territories to Arida forces, and are loosing more. They have started to advance towards the royal capital. The only thing between us and annihilation right now is our forces in the Rockylands. General Longi and his boys are doing a great job holding their own against Arida and the Barbarians. We have to send supplies to them and reinforcements. We believe they can help us strengthen the rest of our garrisons mounted close by."
The King gives his order,
"Send as many warriors as possible to the Rockylands, and include as many magicians as possible. We cannot loose that position under any pressure."
ARIDA.
Dilis is on his throne, with some of his officials present. He's looking restless over his recent nightmares and doesn't pay so much attention to the meeting at hand. One of his generals speaks,
"We're facing some serious opposition from Kalakala forces in the Rockylands. We've lost a lot of souls there, warriors and magicians."
"And the general in charge of that territory, what's he doing about this?" Dilis asks as his general replies,
"General Akrol has been injured. With his present situation, it's not a guarantee if he'll make it out of the battleground alive."
"I do not care about the life of Akrol. Send another general to that position, let him spit the wrath of Dilis upon the eyes of the enemy."
A general suddenly steps forward named Eudax. He speaks with a lot of might and boldness,
"Give me the Rockylands my Leigh, and I'll put an end to your stress. I have it all mapped out."
Dilis is impressed by his presentation and speaks,
"You impress me with your passion for victory general. Tell me how you plan on subduing my enemies."
SOMEWHERE IN THE WILDERNESS.
Rona is squeezing some herbs, applying them on Kiri's wounds. He is still unconscious, while Yunu watches Rona treat her brother.
"Sometimes I wonder, how men could be so cold and evil. Why would someone be so interested in taking the innocent lives of virgins for some god up there?" Yunu says as Rona replies after a while,
"You call them gods, I call them cowards, not brave enough to show themselves, because they know how powerful man can be despite all our limitations. Gods are overrated. They're always mentioned but never show up."
"Why can't they just leave us alone?"
"It's a simple explanation. If they leave us, they seize to exist."
Rona suddenly senses danger again as Yunu recognizes her mood and speaks in worry,
"You give that impression right before we get a surprise attack. What's going on now?"
Rona replies,
"Something is here, something evil, I know that smell."
And then, she sights someone approaching from within the woods, huge and scary, with a deep and audible groan.
"Is that a man?" Yunu asks as Rona replies,
"Not just a man, a Sunseeker."
"Sunseeker?"
"Five times stronger than moonwalkers, evil creatures of the light."
"Can you take on him?"
"Did you just hear what I said?"
The Sunseeker approaches and gets very close to Rona, setting eyes on her, and on the other two. Sunseekers are the male versions of moonwalkers, very rare but extremely powerful and evil. They cannot stand the sight of moonwalkers, their spirits do not agree. In respect to that, Rona is about to face a huge challenge, one ten times greater than her.
"What do we do?" Yunu asks as Rona replies,
"Run."
"But my brother!"
"If you don't run, you'll not be alive to mourn him. I'll lure the sunseeker away from him. Run, now!"
Yunu takes to her heals while Rona beckons on the sunseeker speaking,
"And what exactly brings you here sunseeker?"
The sunseeker replies with a deep voice,
"Moonwalker, you have come to die."
"Clearly, you're the one who came. Your kind is scarce. It's a shame I'll have to kill you."
The sunseeker uproots a tree from the ground and flings it at Rona who dodges and runs off, heading away from Kiri who's gradually gaining consciousness. Rona is on motion, while several logs of wood are being flung towards her by the sunseeker on her tail. He kicks a rock towards Rona, striking her off, flinging her off a cliff. She descends down, going through thorns and branches on her way down. She falls on the ground, badly hurt as the sunseeker leaps and lands before her. Rona draws out her sword as the sunseeker tries to slap her but she pierces through his palm. With her holding the sword stuck to his palm, he lifts her up and flings her off. His eyes turn blue glow and his wound heals up. He speaks while coming towards her,
"Moonwalkers aren't supposed to exist, they're disgusting mistakes of the damned moon goddess." He dashes towards her and grips her by the neck, choking her as she struggles to breathe and break free. Rona channels great energy into her muscles and force open his palm. She heads him backwards and starts serving his face with powerful punches. The sunseeker counters one of her punches with a dangerous blow straight to her face, sending her backwards, breaking through a tree. At this point, Rona is greatly hurt. She tries to summon her chaos but is too weak to do so. The sunseeker leaps high and descends with his fist landing on her face. He starts to serve her with great blows, fracturing bones in her body. He raises her up and strikes her on the ground. Rona tries to stab him with a knife but he catches the strike and tries to slit her throat in great speed. Rona smartly dodges through the strike but gets cut on the left shoulder, close to her neck, leaving her with a terrible cut. He picks her by the head and flings her backwards towards her sword. Rona crawls towards her sword in pain and takes it up. The sunseeker tries to strike her again but Rona smartly dodges and cuts him on the leg. She pierces him through the stomach, hurting him, but ends up provoking him the more as he takes a stone from the ground and tries to strike her head. Rona holds his hand with all of her strength, blocking the strike as the sunseeker draw the sword from his stomach and stab her on the thigh. And then, he strikes her head with the rock, causing her to turn around and fall to the ground, unconscious. The sunseeker kicks her off and gets up. He breaks a log of wood off a tree and comes towards Rona who's trying to regain herself. He strikes her on the face with it, flinging her high above the tree level. She descends and hits her head on a log of wood, bleeding and jerking off blood, covered in a pool of it. She stares at the sunseeker but is too weak to do anything, too vulnerable, almost dead. The sunseeker walks towards her, and she studies his neck very well in relation to her sword far behind him. Just when he's on the right spot, she calls for the sword with magic and it pierces through the sunseeker's neck, killing him. He falls to the ground, bleeding greatly and dies eventually, leaving Rona to stare at the sun, with not much strength left in her. And then, she passes out.
