"Young master, may I inquire as to what brings you here?" The man bowed respectfully as he asked Clyde his reason for visiting the training grounds.
"Oh, sorry to have disturbed you. I was just taking a stroll and ended up here. I was curious about this place and wanted to see it for myself," Clyde replied.
Intrigued by the man's presence and his role in the training grounds, Clyde couldn't resist asking for his name. "Young master you can call me Adam. I am the one in charge here at this training grounds and I serve as the instructor to all who train here." Adam answered with respect in his voice.
As Clyde and Adam continued their conversation, they found a place to sit and enjoy each other's company. Adam served Clyde a cup of tea and they both took a moment to relax and appreciate their surroundings.
Clyde sipped his tea as he watched the warriors train, each one showcasing their unique skills and abilities. The training ground was a marvel to behold, with spell and skill displays of every color and form. The sight was a treat for the eyes, as each warrior put their all into their training, determined to perfect their craft.
The sound of clanging swords and the flash of magic filled the air, as Clyde watched in awe at the spectacle before him. He was impressed by the level of skill and dedication that each warrior brought to their training, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of inspiration and admiration for each of them.
Clyde sat there still observing the warriors as they trained. It was a mesmerizing sight, as different skills and spells were being used, adding a kaleidoscopic quality to the training ground and avoiding him from getting bored. Suddenly, an idea struck Clyde and he turned his gaze to Adam, who was by his side.
"Young master, is something the matter?" Adam asked, noticing the intense look on Clyde's face.
"Adam, I have a huge favor to ask," Clyde replied, his voice filled with sincerity. Adam was puzzled, wondering what the young master could possibly want from him.
"Young master, if it is within my abilities, I will do my best to help," Adam replied.
"Train me," Clyde said simply, not wasting any time. Adam was shocked at the request, as he was not a mage, but a fighter.
"Young master, please forgive me. I am not a mage; I am a fighter. There are many instructors in the family who are mages and can help you," Adam explained.
But Clyde was insistent, "No, I don't need a mage. I need you specifically. Please, train me in close combat." Adam was taken aback by the request.
"Young master, I understand your interest in close combat training, however, your natural talents lie in magic. As a mage, focusing on refining and practicing your spellcasting skills will bring greater benefits to your development." Adam spoke trying to persuade Clyde.
Clyde thought for a moment before responding, "Adam, I appreciate your concern, but I must insist. I need you to train me in close combat. I can still devote my evenings to honing my magical abilities. What is the harm in that?"
Adam sighed inwardly, knowing that focusing on many tasks could slow down progress. However, as a faithful servant of the family, he had no choice but to comply with Clyde's request. "Very well, young master. I shall do as you ask."
Adam led Clyde to his personal training room, which was spacious and filled with a variety of weapons and equipment.
The room was well-equipped with everything needed to aid in close combat training. As soon as Clyde entered the room, he felt an immediate sense of comfort and excitement. The room was outfitted with various training aids, including a ring in the center for sparring and various tools for enhancing physical endurance.
Adam took Clyde on a tour of the room, introducing him to the different weapons and training tools.
He showed off the most impressive and valuable piece of equipment, a golem powered by an energy stone. Energy stones were a rare and precious resource in this world, capable of storing massive amounts of energy. These stones were used to power a variety of machines, including the golem in front of them.
"This golem is a formidable training partner," Adam explained, "and will provide you with a challenging workout." He went on to explain that as the chief instructor of the training ground, he had been allotted this room and these resources to assist in the development of young warriors in the family.
"Young master," Adam continued, "it is important that we assess your current level of strength before we begin training. The Golem, as formidable as it may be, will be your primary training partner from now on. But first, we need to determine where you stand." With that, Adam sprang into the air, landing effortlessly in the center of the ring.
Clyde was taken aback by the sudden challenge presented by Adam. He had never faced an opponent of Adam's caliber before, but he was eager to prove himself. Taking a deep breath, he strode confidently toward the center of the ring.
Adam stood tall and imposing, his muscles bulging as he tensed for the fight. Clyde felt a moment of apprehension, but he quickly pushed it aside. He had come here to be trained, and he was determined to show Adam just how much he was capable of.
Before the training began, Adam declared that Clyde could utilize any skills in his arsenal while he himself would not use any. He wanted to gauge just how capable Clyde truly was, given his confident and daring demeanor. Adjusting his strength to match Clyde's, Adam stood ready as the young warrior prepared himself for the attack.
"Start!" Adam shouted, and the two men sprang into action. Clyde activated all of his amplification skills, his attributes rising dramatically. He moved with lightning speed, darting towards Adam with a burst of speed. Adam was caught off guard by Clyde's sudden burst of power, but he quickly regained his composure.
As Clyde approached, he leaped into the air, his fist aimed directly at Adam's abdomen. But Adam, with his years of experience, easily dodged the attack, slipping to one side and counterattacking with a powerful strike with his knee. Adam was confident that this single blow would end the match, but he was shocked when a powerful barrier suddenly appeared around Clyde, absorbing the full force of Adam's attack with ease.
Clyde had summoned a mana shield, a powerful magical defense skill that was capable of defending against attacks. Adam was impressed by Clyde's quick thinking and resourcefulness, and he realized that he had underestimated the young master's abilities. The match was far from over.
As Adam's powerful knee collided with the barrier, Clyde was sent flying backward. Despite the force of the impact, he gracefully landed on his feet. But before he could gather his bearings, Adam appeared in front of him and landed a devastating sidekick. The surprise attack sent Clyde flying out of the ring and crashing into a rack filled with weapons. Clyde stands up quickly and jumps back at the ring as he still has his mana shield and did not get any damage.
Adam was astounded by Clyde's defense, particularly his use of the Mana Shield. It was a powerful skill that could save the user in critical moments, and Adam realized that Clyde must have trained it to a high level, possibly even level 3. Despite the strength of Adam's attack, which he was sure was equivalent to a level 10, the shield held strong.
Adam couldn't help but admire Clyde's strategy, focusing on defense was a commendable approach. But he also knew that defense was useless without a powerful offense to back it up.
Clyde's defense was truly remarkable, and he had yet to receive any significant damage. However, he was acutely aware of the fact that his mana was draining faster than he anticipated. Without the use of his offensive spells, which were extremely destructive, Clyde knew that he would not be able to defeat Adam.
