Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

Early in the morning, Clyde already arrived at the training ground. He is already doing some exercise, at the center of the ring built in Adam's room.

"Young master, your dedication to training is impressive," Adam complimented Clyde.

Clyde smiled as he continued his work out, his body covered in sweat from the intense training. Despite the early hour and the grueling physical work, Clyde still felt invigorated and energized.

After working out, Clyde assumed a squatting position in the ring as Adam begun his lecture on using a hunting knife. With the weapon in hand, Adam demonstrated a series of moves to Clyde, explaining each one in detail.

Adam show how to grip the handle securely, emphasizing the importance of control. He also demonstrated a swift upward strike, simulating a gutting motion and as well as demonstrated a defensive maneuver. where the knife could be used to deflect an incoming attack.

As Adam move fluidly with the knife, Clyde watched intently, learning every details of the actions.

Clyde spent the entire morning expanding his knowledge about knives and honing his skills. In the afternoon, he shifted his focus in improving his reaction speed, Training with the Golem.

Throughout the afternoon, Clyde engaged in grueling battle with the golem. Each time he faced the Golem, he fought until his mana was completely depleted. Once he recovered, he would immediately re-enter the battle again with the Golem.

Despite being bruised and battered after each fight, Clyde persevered, driven by the pursuit of becoming stronger. This cycle of challenge continued until the end of the day, with Clyde emerging from the battle becoming stronger.

After a few days of intense training and practice, the day the Edgewood academy will recruit its students already arrived.

Clyde has been staying with Adam for several days and has seen a significant improvement in his strength and agility. He has increased his strength by two points and his agility by one.

At this time, Clyde is sitting on a sofa and chatting with Adam.

"You've done exceptionally well, young master," Adam praised.

Clyde smiled at the compliment. "I owe it all to you. I think it's time for me to leave now. I'm sure the person from the academy are already waiting for me at my father's office." as Clyde said his goodbye to Adam.

Clyde also said his farewells to Ivory and gave her instructions to stay at the estate and level up until she will be summoned.

After some time at Clyde's father office, Clyde can be seen sitting with his cousin Steven.

As one of the young master of a distinguished family, Clyde and Steven enjoys certain privileges. He and his cousin are exempt from taking the initial phase of the tests conducted by the academy and will only participate in the final phase.

This means that there will be representative from the academy that will visit them each time a family member takes the examination to bring them to the academy.

While Clyde and Steven are still sitting to the side, the two men in the center of the room are engaged in lively conversation, each holding a glass of wine.

Both men are well-built and exude a strong presence, causing Clyde and Steven to feel intimidated. These two individuals are Clyde's father and the person from the academy.

"I never thought your family would have another prodigy like you, Frank." the man said to Frank.

"I've never expected it either Marco." Frank replied.

"Ranger are quite a rare class even in the academy." Marco said, as he gives Steven a meaningful look. "There are currently only two individuals in the academy that are rangers, and they are among the top students. The fire power of a ranger is quite remarkable."

"I agree, destroying enemies from a distance is quite a feat. It brings back some fond memories," Frank said in recognition of Steven's strength.

Upon hearing the compliments, Steven felt proud of his strength. He attempted to catch Clyde's gaze but was taken aback by Clyde's remarkable calmness and composure.

Marco also observed Clyde's serene demeanor. He intentionally praised Steven to highlight their differences, but was disappointed to see that Clyde appeared to not be affected at all.

Frank also noticed Clyde's demeanor and felt proud of his son. However, he had already suspected that Clyde was hiding something, as he had been aware of Clyde's recent activities in the training ground and as well as in the dungeon. Despite this, Frank chose not to interfere with Clyde's actions.

"Ah, I almost forgot to introduce myself to these two young ones," Marco said as he approached Clyde and Steven with a smile. "I'm Marco Dillard, from the academy. I've been assigned to bring you there."

Frank also added "This man was my classmate in the academy a few years back. We've been through many tough battles together, and we can be considered brothers. So you two can address him as Uncle."

"Hello, Uncle." Steven and Clyde greeted the man.

"Hahaha," Marco laughed after being pleased with their greetings.

"As a responsible uncle, I feel it's my duty to offer you both some advice. This year's test will be quite difficult, so make sure you're well-prepared. There will be many talented individuals taking part in the competition," he said, pausing before continuing.

"So, it will be challenging even for Steven to stand out in this group."

Upon hearing Marco's advice, Steven became serious. He didn't anticipate that even someone as exceptional as himself, a unique class warrior, would struggle to standout.

"I heard the Principal's son will be taking his test this year, right?" Frank asked, fixing his gaze on Marco. "The rumors must be true, right?"

"Ha ha ha, your information is correct. The academy's prodigy should also be taking his entrance exam," Marco replied with a chuckle.

Upon hearing Marco, Frank couldn't resist nodding. "It seems like my son will also have a difficult time standing out, right?" he said, shifting his gaze towards Clyde.

"Ah!" Clyde was taken aback by his father bringing him up in the conversation. He could only scratch his head and smile, indicating that he was unsure.

Marco couldn't help but interrupt the father-son conversation. "I'm not underestimating my young nephew here, but even Steven here will be in trouble. I'm afraid that Clyde will have a tough time passing the exam," he said, adding to the conversation.

Clyde didn't feel the need to argue with Marco. He was already very confident in himself, and even his strength during the dungeon escapade he believe that he could already standout himself.
