Chapter 22 - Chapter 21: Crazy stalker

As Olivia looked at her grandmother who was still smiling she wondered why her parents were so worried about. She walked up the stairs and only stopped when she noticed she was fading.

She looked at her phone and realized she had received an anonymous text. Out of curiosity she looked at it and nearly fainted as she noticed the texter had sent a threat.

"Olivia Milford this is your last chance I've decided to keep you on the waiting list but if I wait for much longer I will take necessary precautions, I'm sure you understand what arson is and I guess you are fond of losing the ones you love, you have one last chance, return what you stole or lose everything instead."

She shook in fear but almost immediately recovered her composure. She looked at her phone and decided to threaten the mysterious texter.

"Did he really think he was going to scare me with this shallow threat pww, fool, but hey how did he know I was here does that mean his a stalker too, I think the best way to handle this situation is to lay low and play dumb" she said quietly as she looked at the text again but this time actually responding.

"Who are you? what do you want? how do you know me? what did I steal?" she asked and before she could catch her breath he responded.

"Someone you will never know about, you know what I want; everything" the anonymous man replied as he sent her a picture to actually convince her that he was no joke.

"Lets play a game, you've already ruined my life so it's only fair when I ruin yours, you can only ask three questions" he responded before she could understand the trouble she had gotten into.

Olivia looked at the picture closely and as she zoomed in she saw Josaphine, Molly and Robert tied up.

"How do I play this game?" Olivia responded as she now understood how serious the man was.

"Get back home now, don't call the police or I'll kill them don't bother looking or I'll hurt them and if you drag to much attention I will make sure this is the last memory you'll have of them" the man texted back.

Olivia waited for about three minutes hoping the man was just a joke but as she noticed the man was still online she shook in fear.

She wondered how the man had known her current location. Did that mean he knew she was leaving and so decided it would be perfect to strike. She had lots of questions but she decided to use her two questions wisely.

She looked at her phone and finally decided to ask him a question.

"What do you know about this slime tell me everything"

It took him a few minutes to reply and as Olivia decided to walk away he responded.

"It was a pharmacy, underground facility and hence it's research is highly exclusive that means only officials know about it but from my observation it's both good and bad, bad in the sense that there is no known progress it says there's only a few specimens that actually survived that test. It has few defects but it's main defect is the damage of one's immune system. That slime might seem useful to you now but wait one more month and you'll see there's no advantage, you'll vanish and you'd be left with nothing more than the defects"

"Does that mean I'll be like this forever, No! no!" Olivia yelled slightly as she slowly sat on the stairs feeling really dejected.

She had to tell her parents about this but first she had to vanish first.

She waited for what seemed like hours until she completely vanished. She walked over to her dad's room and as she learned on the door she heard her parents arguing.

"Frank, you're a monster, you're the the Devil's incarnate"

"Call me what you want I just want the best for your family, our family, a new home new reputation that's....

"By hurting innocent people, I would rather live in filth than live in your bloody reputation" Olivia's mom yelled before he could finish his sentence.

Olivia sighed as she knew if not for the nearly sound proof door Dave would have heard the two adults quarreling.

"Our lab does not deal with dead people" he yelled back.

"Then why are the practices secret, why are you hiding from the police"

"Because we don't want our competitors to copy us, if you're still mad about Josie it's okay but drag my work into this"

"Which do you prefer, your family or your research" Olivia's mom asked and with this the room became quiet, it seemed like he was still thinking.

What? who does that?

"Your family right" Olivia said silently as she now understood her dad was still thinking.
