"What are you doing with my phone?"
"I was hmm sending pictures" she lied and she knew that he wouldn't fall for it.
"With my phone, you're literally on my contact list"
"Well yes just, this is embarrassing, I was looking for my phone so I decided to speed dial instead" she said trying to sound as believable as possible.
He gave her a dirty look but still believed her. As soon as he left she sighed, she noticed she was getting better at lying than she thought, if things continued this way she would eventually win the Best liar award by September. She looked at her phone and sighed.
"What should I do? hang on okay" she said silently as she inhaled freely.
She looked at her bed and when wondered if it was the right thing to do while an unknown kidnapper had her friends hostage. She slowly gave in to the temptation and as she approached the bed she noticed someone coming. She was lucky as she had already applied the slime on her skin as she knew who it was.
"Olivia your dad and I have decided we need sometime apart, I'll stay with you and ur dad will stay with Dave" her mom said calmly as she noticed Olivia sulking.
"No thanks I think I'll stay with Dave instead" Olivia replied quickly as she wanted her parents to resolve their problems calmly.
"You, with a boy?" her mom said as she laughed hysterically.
"I'd go blind if that happens, you'll stay with me and that's that" her mom concluded as she walked into her room.
She looked at the nearly empty room and as her eyes roamed around she suddenly stopped.
"So what's in it, cream ohh can I have some" her mom asked as she eyed the container.
This was exactly why she wanted Dave with her, he didn't care about'cream' and he already knew about her condition. She tried getting along with her mom who always acted like a little kid who had too much sugar for lunch.
She'd sream in glee anytime she noticed Olivia acted 'mature'.
As they were about to sleep her mom pulled out a book from her bag.
The title read: A book for the wise.
"Ha" Olivia laughed silently.
"As if the title would stop fools from purchasing it, A book for the wise, how original" she said as she rolled her eyes.
"Olivia your granddad wrote this" her mom replied calmly.
Olivia's smile slowly faded as she looked at the book which seemed to contain mostly poems.
"Okay could you read one for me" she asked quietly.
Her mom smiled a little as she brought out the book and skipped to'the best part'.
As wind blew the heavy trees
As grass grew to a height
The moon a never-ending desire
That everything unseen is fake...
"I don't get it, could you interpret it" Olivia said as she noticed her mom was wearing her reading glasses.
"The poem represents life, disappearance and belief, see the first line was more about certain things like life and death, the second was more stressed on invisibility and unforseen concequence and third, belief. To sum it all the poem is trying to say when there is life there is hope, the truth is near us but we can't see it because it's clothed with invisible cloaks and the enemies we made might become our friends. Notice how in the last stanza it was said that the man was manipulative therefore no one trusted him but why was he that way?..
"Because he was living up to expectations far greater than him, because his father's death made him look for possible ways to avenge him...
"Possibly, the truth is camouflaged" her mom pointed out as she went straight to bed.
Olivia looked at the wall for a minute repeating what her mom had said over and over again.
"Could it be...
