[Welcome to the Doomsday Survival Game]
[As you can see, you have arrived at a strange place. In this world, survival is key. Make sure to keep these points in mind]
[1. Disasters will periodically appear, ranging from acid rain, beast waves, earthquakes, etc. out will be reminded four days before the disaster]
[2. In this world, danger and opportunities coexist so exploration is best for survival unless you wish to starve to death. Choosing between starving and being mauled, which is better.]
[3.A large portion of land filled with resources is covered in thick mist so the players can choose whether to enter and obtain valuable resources or stay in their comfort zone]
[4. Areas might have survival resources, or there might be dangerous monsters. Note: Killing the monsters will bring you a pleasant surprise]
[5. Plunder as many resources as possible, surviving is better than being called a glutton]
[6.If you meet your own kind, great! You can form an alliance or you could kill them and steal their hard-earned resources]
[7.You are given a survival base bounded to you and you alone which you can place anywhere but remember once kept can't be moved again, you can either place it above or underground. Your base shall be protected for three days]
[8. There are days and nights. Be careful, beasts are more active during the day but for the first four hours no beast shall appear]
[9. If you think about it, you can open the game panel. Since we know the majority of you haven't learnt how to build, craft, etc. we have provided the option in the panel]
[Don't worry, if some of your friends are not there. I sent those I deemed unworthy back to Earth. Don't worry your previous skills shall not be revoked. I wish you a happy game]
[Ding! You have been given your beginner gift bag]
In a vast wilderness, Vincent just stood looking at the screen in front of him with a frown on his face.
"Hmm, to think they would change their own game just after it started. I guess to hell with my previous plan. Ugh, at least he acted on his side of the deal." Vincent sighed.
Standing up, he perused the wilderness with a small board which was a little smaller than his hand. They were little red words written on it which made Vincent frown even more.
"Pour blood on me."
"What am I supposed to wit this, pour my blood on it when I uncover a good place." V incent wondered as he flipped t to the other side finding nothing but two little words written on it.
"Aboveground and Underground"
"What's that supposed to mean." Vincent inquired, pressing his finger on it. He was startled as a blue screen appeared in his face.
[Option 1: Above ground]
[Advantages: Good place for development]
[Disadvantages: Weak against disasters]
[Option 2: Underground]
[Advantages: Low protection against disasters]
[Disadvantages: Poor place for development]
Taking a look at the screen that appeared, he scanned his surroundings determining whether this was a right place to settle down. He decided against it as placing his home in the middle of a forest was prone to suicide if ever a group of monsters showed up at his door.
Speaking of monsters, Vincent hadn't seen one ever since he arrived in these woods. However he just assumed, it was part of the bonus day so he didn't question it and just kept on moving.
"Hmm, she mentioned something about a panel right." Vincent recalled as he walked through the forest.
[Chat] [Manufacture] [Trade] [Auction]
Vincent silently read the panel, his eyes still cold and domineering as they were. There was a seven icon, indicating the amount of days they had left.
Vincent concentrated on the chat icon but instead of a chat screen, another pair of icons showed up.
[Regional Channel] [Global Channel]
With just a thought, he entered the world channel.
[Player 11433]: [Where are we?]
[Player: 1231]: [Weren't we just in another forest, who can explain that beam of light]
[Player 12222]: [What light?]
[Player 22222]: [Ha-ha, the end is nigh and we are in the afterlife]
[Player 523]: [What's wrong with you? I just saw people die so I'm pretty certain this ain't the afterlife]
Conservations came and slid by, one after another. They seemed to be never ending. Vincent turned his attention to the small horn to the side of the icon, by it was the number 1.
[Horn: Indicates the amount of times, a player can send a message per day]
"Hmm, seems like they don't want us to band together." Vincent thought.
"Wait, it's that why they reset the game so we would survive individually." Vincent muttered
"These guys really are idiots, wasting their one time say for silly things." Vincent commented as he looked back over at the amount of messages being slid by.
Exiting the global panel, Vincent headed for the regional panel.
[Members: 1000]
A lot of people were chatting in this one. Some were lamenting others happy for transmigration while others were confused about their situations.
Apparently people could pick out their own nicknames since the names he was seeing couldn't be normal.
"Ligma, Deez, Babylover? What the hell is wrong with these people?" Vincent wondered but still didn't say anything, just looked through it for any valuable information but a minute of looking he closed the window before opening another window.
[Basic Equipment]
[Stone Pickaxe]: Wood 0/2, Stone 0/3]
[Stone Axe]: Wood 0/2, Stone 0/3]
[Stone Spear]: Wood 0/2, Stone 0/1]
[Stone Shovel]: Wood 0/2, Stone 0/2]
[Charcoal: Wood 0/1, Fire]
"So this is the crafting space, hmm it kind of looks like that block game I saw." Vincent exclaimed.
"However I don't have any materials lying around here so I can't craft. I wonder how I gain materials then." Vincent muttered. Sliding his hand through his blonde hair.
"Maybe it's like the game." Vincent thought as he stood in front of a tree before punching the tree repeatedly but the tree didn't break into an item, it broke into pieces.
"Don't work like that." Vincent mumbled, staring at his still unhurt hand.
"If I can't harvest wood, then I suppose I'm supposed to from them from chests…or at least until I gain the appropriate tools." Vincent thought, rubbing his chin.
"Better tell the people in my region, hopefully I'll get some good karma." incent grinned as he released a message into the chat.
[Moonshine: What is wrong with you, you think this is Minecraft.]
[Rodin: Idiot, L.O.L.]
[Bruce Wayne: Ha-ha]
Vincent frowned from the messages being sent but he only let out a "humph" before continuing his walk.
"I tried, didn't I?"
His walk lasted for another five minutes before he walked out if the forest, coming across a grassland.
"This would be a good place to settle but it would need to have a water source to be complete."
"Ugh, I miss Chen but if I ever want to see him again I'll just have to wait." Vincent sighed, opening up his regional channel.
[Vincent J.]: [Has anyone seen a water source]
[Glover]: [Yes, there's one in the woods but I don't think you'll have enough time to find it, the timer is running out]
[Vincent J.]: [What timer]
[Glover: [You didn't see the timer for the base]
Vincent immediately whipped out his plate, looking all round for the timer but he didn't find any…that until he opened his hand fully revealing the small timer on the lowest part of the plate.
[1:00]
"What, how much of an idiot am I. I didn't fully check the plate. Ugh." Vincent cursed himself but he knew this wasn't the time for sulking and feeling regret.
"Damn it, I don't have enough time to look for a river so I just have to pick a safe place and look for water later." Vincent thought to himself before he rose his head up, scanning the area for any suitable spot.
With no place he deemed to be worthy he picked an area not too far from the woods while also a good distance from the forest. With his experience with monsters, he knew staying too close to monsters was prone to suicide so this would have to work for the time being.
It didn't take long for him to reach the site, holding the plate in his hand.
"All I have to do is pour my blood on it." Vincent thought, raising his thumb up before biting into it until he drew blood. He smeared the blood on the plate as the options came up again.
[Option 1: Above ground]
[Advantages: Good place for development]
[Disadvantages: Weak against disasters]
[Option 2: Underground]
[Advantages: Low protection against disasters]
[Disadvantages: Poor place for development]
"Hmm, although the first option seems like a good thing as the description even said, disasters is its weakness. Imagine if, acid rain, tornado, eruptions, and other disasters appeared my home would be destroyed in mere seconds.
"Meanwhile, the only disaster I'm worried about for the undergrounds is an earthquake but to the ratio of disasters, it seems to be a good choice but its rate of development would be low." Vincent continued but he knew he couldn't stay up there thinking about his reasons.
[0:10]
"Fuck it, I choose…"
Vincent shook his head while choosing the second option just as the timer ran out.
[You have selected son underground shelter. In the process of the generating terrain.]
The wooden plate in his hand shone a golden light as it projected into the ground, nothing changed, but a wooden hatch door appeared.
[Congratulations your underground shelter has been generated. Check your base's properties in the base panel now located on your plate]
[Enter through the hatch to enter your base]
"Well that was underwhelming."
