Grrrrrr!
A growl was heard just above him as he froze in place, slowly looking up to find a pair of two red eyes and a pair of teeth looking right at him.
"Shit." Vincent cursed as he slowly got up, eventually looking straight at the beast, turning out to a six-foot wolf.
"System, retrieve my spear." Vincent muttered just as he slowly moved backwards with his arms raised.
He had his experience with wolves and normally they weren't aggressive with humans as long as the humans didn't try to attack them so all he had to do was leave them in peace but it was also then he realized he made a fatal mistake.
Just as the spear began to materialize in his hands, the wolf was triggered by the spear as it let out a growl before leaping at Vincent with its maw open for a quick bite.
"Shit!" He cursed as he lifted the spear just in time to block the incoming bite with the handle of the spear, bending backwards using the wolf's own momentum against it to push it back.
The force and his action seemed to have been too strong for the spear as its handle broke into two.
"Damn it, I just made this." Vincent lamented as he looked back at the wolf who just began to get on its feet.
"I could win this if I actually wanted to but that would probably cause more monsters to come after me." Vincent speculated, placing the plate into his pocket before running away from the scene back into the initial path.
However, the wolf got up quite easily shaking up its fur, howling into the sky before running after Vincent straight into the woods.
Vincent's breath became ragged as he heard the wolf's constant heavy breath behind him. He knew if he didn't come out soon, he would never come out again.
However hope sparkled in his eyes, as he saw the open plains and with his eye even his hatch door.
In his hindsight, his speed slowed down just by a meter but a meter was all the wolf needed as it pouched on him, swiping its claws at his back.
Clang!
Feeling the hit, Vincent turned around mid-fall, stabbing the wolf in the eye while also pushing it to the side.
Vincent let go of the spear, stumbling on the ground before continuing to run into the field just as more growls began to approach them.
The wolf wailed in pain as it struggled to remove the spear in its eye, looking back at the sprinting Vincent with its bloodied face ad remaining eye just as more of its kind arrived at the scene.
They looked at the wolf before looking at Vincent. They seemed to understand as they let out a loud howl before they all chased after Vincent.
"What the hell!" Vincent questioned as he saw what seemed to be seven more wolves on his tail through the use of his skill.
He ran even faster but the wolves were faster. Especially one of the wolves, it was bigger than the rest with long upper canines making it look like a saber-toothed tiger.
Not only was it bigger but it was surprisingly fast for its size, running past the rest with ease and in a matter of seconds, he knew it would get him.
Vincent ran with all his might, pushing his legs to the absolute limit but the wolf seemed to be also doing the same but with a higher output. In easily words, it was just behind him in seconds.
"That's a really fast wolf, ugh, I got to do it." Vincent mentioned, activating his ultimate skill just as the saber toothed wolf pounced on him.
"Do it now!" Vincent yelled as his eye began to lighten up, looking straight at the beast as a weird pattern appeared in front of his eye.
Weeesh.
A giant beam of light surged out of the circle, blasting through the wolf's heads with ease and reaching into the sky before disappearing within a few seconds.
[You have killed a Saber toothed Dire Wolf]
[Automatically Saving Saber Toothed Dire Wolf's Body in the Base]
[You have been gifted a treasure chest due to killing this race for the first time. The chest will be based on the beast's level and prowess]
[Do you wish to dismantle the Saber Toothed Dire wolf's body? [Y/N]
A prompt sounded in his head as he fell back from the recoil.
"Sure but I don't have time for this." Vincent yelled out as he scrambled to his feet before running away from the enraged wolves chasing him with more vigor from the rage of Vincent killed their boss.
The most enraged one ran through the pack and upon closer, it was the one which Vincent had injured earlier as it looked at him with indescribable rage.
It was on his tail and the blast from earlier had taken a lot from him, causing his breath to become more rigid and his speed to decrease as he ran.
His vison was fuzzy and he knew fainting was inevitable, he felt his body become weak as he feel to the ground just as the wolf crept up behind preparing a deadly pounce.
Thud
A sound sounded behind him and he looked back, he found the wolf trying desperately and frantically to get to him but seemed to be stopped by an invisible barrier. It walked around him, trying everyway but it couldn't enter.
"It must be the protection." Vincent sighed as he fell to the ground exhausted not even able to move a finger, passing out just as more of the wolves approached.
"Hmm, you're a real lucky kid." A rigid voice sounded in Vincent's head.
"No, I'm not."

"Okay then, I will be your personal training instructor. You can call me Zen"
In an isolated room, an older Japanese man who seemed to be in his forties said as he looked down at a small boy who seemed to be around the age of six.
The boy had dead white hair with mismatched eyes, one of them was amethyst while the other was pale blue. However that wasn't the most bizarre point of him as he had bandages covered all round his body.
"Despite your age, I have heard you have the mental capacity and reasoning of a fifty year old so in comparison you're older than me." The man chucked as he picked up a defensive outfit from a shelf before handing it to the boy.
"Okay then, wear this we have training to do." He said as he handed the boy the suit.
The boy took the suit and began to wear it but as soon as he finished, the man attacked him with a powerful kick aimed at his chest area.
Swoosh.
The air made a sound as the man's leg swiped through the air, hitting nothing but the air.
"You're fast." The man commented as he looked downwards finding the boy laying down on the floor, dodging the attack.
"You managed to sense the attack whilst also thinking of a way to dodge it. Hmm, you really are a talent" The man smiled as he bent down lifting up the boy.
"You can dodge but can you attack." The man said looking straight into the boys eyes.
"You don't have that much muscle in fact you're rather skinny so we need to train up first before we can get to the actual training." He commented as he examined the boy
"Okay then, I will leave for today but tomorrow be prepared for the ultimate training okay." The man said as he packed up but not before picking an item out of his bag.
"Hey, I wanted to give you something on our first meeting but since you were a kid and I didn't have time to find something better so here I know every kid loves toys." He smiled a she handed over a baseball to the boy.
"Maybe we could play sometime but first you need to become stronger okay." The man suggested as he watched the boy take the ball from his hand.
"O…Ok…ay." The boy stammered through the word, speaking for the first time in the entire conversation.
"Good." The man laughed as he rubbed the boy's hair, prompting the boy to look in surprise.
Goo…ood." The boy repeated although slowly.
"Okay then, I'll see you later. Your next inspector will becoming shortly." The man said as he left the boy, grabbing his suitcase as he left the room
"Poor kid, I hope he can endure him."
In the place of Zen, a short and burly looking woman with a scar on her cheek walked in but instead of talking with Vincent, he just grabbed his arm before pulling him across the room to a target training practice field.
"I am your weapons trainer and one of the vice managers of this base, I will be training you in the art of the blades, guns and even bows." She introduced herself whilst also examining the boy.
"Oh my, aren't you the cute one. My girls would love you. Maybe I'll send you sometime" She let out a creepy grin as she said this.
"But first, I wasn't to know what you can do. I heard you can soak up information like a sponge so let's test this out." She muttered, picking up a dagger before handing it to him.
"Absorb the moves I am going to show during the fight." She muttered before turning around. The boy seemed to be confused for a moment but then his body suddenly shifted, dodging a quick stab to his head but it still managed to graze his cheek as blood run down his cheek.
"You really are fast, well then let's see how fast you really are." She let out a creepy smile as she said this.
