"Hey , Hey Wake up Sphinx or whatever you are !!!!!Wake up!!?". Kyra yelled jumping about and waving her arms in the air erratically.
The sphinx slowly roused from its slumber ." Who dares trespasses into my domain to disturb my slumber!" It roared so fiercely that It shook the trees.
"You are holding our friend prisoner. Just give us some scrappy riddle and we will be on our way."
The sphinx looked down. " Ah a lonely necromancer, an egoistic fallen god and a pitiful demon. You poor lot want to solve my riddle. Well I will indulge you jesters." It announced . " BUT remember if you fail to solve my riddle , you all are going to be dinner in my belly and I am rather ravenous. "
They listened with rapt attention.
"THREE MEN DECIDED TO SET SAIL ON A BEAUTIFUL MORNING. THEY GOT ON THE BOAT AND BEGAN THEIR JOURNEY. UNFORTUNATELY, A STORM WAS FAST APPROACHING. THE TIDES GREW AND LIGHTNING FLASHED AND HIT THE BOAT AND THE BOAT CAPSIZED THEY ALL FELL INTO THE WATER . THEY ALL SWAM TO SHORE. AND WHEN TO GOT THERE , THE THREE MEN WERE ALL WET . BUT SURPRISINGLY, ALL BUT ONE OF THEM DID NOT GET HIS HAIR WET. HOW ?" The sphinx ended its riddle.
"That's an awful lot of words for a mere riddle, right?" Levi rubbed his head. He hated riddles. They were so ...
Riddly and confusing . Just so much words all jumbled up.
Avyanna was so busy thinking of possible answers she forgot what she was thinking about.
The sphinx spoke again." You have three days to give me your answers . If you fail your friend dies along with you all. I can't wait to crunch your bones and suck your marrows dry."
Kyra shot a glance at Conrad who was still on top of this monster. The riddle was a hard one and Kyra wondered if they ever going to be able to solve it.
But for her friend ...
She was ready to do all it took to get him back.
