Chereads / Always been Yours / Chapter 35 - Argue.

Chapter 35 - Argue.

"I will go now." Just as she was about to open the car door, Ryan reached out to stop her.

His warm and fair hand wrapped around her beautiful hand, their contact making Sasha tense up.

"Sasha, You don't have to care about what other people think, especially those who have opinions about us being together. No one can stop me from doing what I want." The man's serious voice sounded in her ears again.

Ryan paused for a moment once he said that. Then, he met her gaze fearlessly, and his dark pupils showed deep affection for her.

He said, "Sasha, the only one I want is you."

Sasha was dazed and flustered, but it was a complicated feeling. Although Ryan's words made her heart flutter, there were too many problems between them. By being together with Ryan, she would face many difficulties and obstacles, and the main problem she had to face was from his elders.

"Okay," Sasha answered.

Ryan smiled, his orbs reflecting a charming aura.

Sasha shook her hand as she attempted to break free of his hold. He had finished speaking and she should have gone off the car a long time ago. Yet, Ryan did not let go of her. Instead, he tightened his hold on her.

"Let go of my...."

Before she could even finish her words, Ryan suddenly planted a kiss on top of her head.

"R-Ryan?"

Sasha stammered on her words when Ryan moved away from her, a sweet smile already on his face.

"What the hell are you doing?" Sasha then impulsively hit Ryan's shoulder, further surprising him with how comfortable she was to hit him.

Ryan slightly winced in pain when Sasha hit his shoulder. He rubbed the part where the lady hit, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked at her.

"Are you even a lady? What kind of strength do you have?"

Sasha scoffed, rolling her eyes at him as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

After Sasha enter her apartment she took a deep breath. She sprawled on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. All she could remember was the bright look on Ryan's face the moment she had told him that she accept him.

At the Istam Art Gallery, the chaotic chatter in the conference room gradually died down.

"What a load of garbage!" Sean hissed.

"What do you think you're doing?" Anna raised an eyebrow at Sean Wesley, who glared right back.

"I should be asking you that," Sean replied.

Anna's face waned and she bit her lips. She turned her head to the other side but did not continue.

Sean smirked and tipped his head toward Anna. "A free art camp? Don't you know the situation you're in?"

"It's a free educational art camp. This is one of the few opportunities for the underprivileged...."

"Do you think you are Mother Teresa?" Sean pressed.

"Mr Wesley, Do you know how much the kids love this program? We should be thinking about holding the event more frequently. But you want to cancel it?."

Sean snorted and slapped the file back down onto the conference table. "Of course, I know this is a great deed you're doing. Helping out kids who don't get a taste of art is excellent. But with what money?" Sean frowned harder. "Do you have money?."

"I should try to find sponsors now," Anna said quietly.

His face went a shade closer to purple and a vein began to pop on his forehead. "You use someone else's money to act all posh. Isn't that what thieves do? Since it's not your money. You don't know how valuable it is. Do you think other people have money growing on trees?"

Anna's jaw twitched, and her eyes cut to him sharply. "Watch what you're saying, Mr Wesley."

"Excuse me, Anna Hart. Do you still not get it? Do you know where you belong? You're no longer the only daughter of the honourable family. If you want to help someone help them with your earned money instead of begging."

Sean slammed the door of his office and stalked back to his desk. But he was so angry he couldn't sit down. There was a strange feeling in his chest and he couldn't shake it.

"You could have just warned Chef Andrew. Going to HR was a bit much." Patrick said. He was aware that his boss was in a foul mood.

Sean ran a hand through his hair and shook off thoughts of the troubling woman.

Though it was past three o'clock at night, Sean was still lying on the sofa without a trace of sleepiness. In the end, he had no choice but to go to the kitchen. However, he didn't expect that when he opened the door, Anna was still sitting on the sofa and processing documents.

Taken aback, Sean asked in surprise, "It's almost four o'clock. Why are you still up?"

"Almost done!" Anna replied without looking at Sean.

In the kitchen, Sean warmed a glass of hot milk for Anna. Then, he took the glass of milk into the living room.

"Here, drink some milk." Sean said.
