Chapter 13 - One shot, one kill

Bang!

Bang!

More explosions rocked the place as Sol raced forward with his chest left bare and legs left open. He skillfully made his way through the forest, nearing the center of the place without much effort!

Swoosh!

Soon Sol emerged from the forest into the open field where the assembly took place and he was horrified. Corpses of students could be seen littered everywhere and currently, the massive green beast held another student by the neck, snapping her neck almost effortlessly, leaving Sol stunned as his body trembled with excitement.

[Dexterity: 8]

[Awareness:8]

Sol's arrival went unnoticed as everyone was focused on the massive green monster ahead of them. Their eyes filled with a mixture of fear and uncertainty as they didn't know if this was part of the test or something else.

"Everyone retreat… Let me handle it" a cold and aloof voice sounded, drawing the attention of everyone including Sol.

He saw an extremely handsome youth with an identical beautiful sister walking through the crowd and toward the enemy ahead.

"Cecile Vlad and Theresa Vlad" Sol's eyes went cold.

He risked his life to save this girl but when it was time to repay his kindness she didn't even bother looking for him. He was unconscious for two days and if it wasn't for that kid, he would have been dead by now.

A sense of hostility filled his heart as he looked at the duo but he pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the chaos ahead.

There were barely up to twenty-five students present. The three corpses around its location would have made the number count twenty-eight, still meaning two students are missing.

They probably must have died earlier!

"Hak…" Cecile's voice rang in Sol's ears causing Sol to look up with a hint of shock in his eyes.

The smell of blood diffused from Cecile's body as his body seemed to undergo some sort of reconstruction. He felt like his skin was hardened upon the manifestation of his power. The normal looking human gained sharper claws before racing towards the orc!

[Name: Cecile]

[Stat]

Xiu!

Fast!

Sol was stunned by the blurry figure racing toward the orc. With the effect of Hak, his physique was boosted and his stats were pushed to ten points.

Bang!

Everyone was stunned as they saw Cecile sent flying back with a single attack!

Their terrified gaze shifted to the orc ahead and they were stunned to see its muscle bulging dangerously as if it were on steroids.

[Warning; Enemy has activated supreme physique and his stat has been pushed beyond host's threshold. It is advised that the host retreats before he is noticed by the enemy.

[Dexterity: 8+5]

[Awareness:8+5]

[Supreme physique active: +5 to all stats]

"Brother!" Theresa's voice dragged Sol's attention away from the stats displayed to him by the system.

Swoosh!

Bam!

Beside Cecile's fallen figure more figures appeared leaving the scared students excited all of a sudden!

"It's the heirs! We are saved" someone screamed.

"Hahahaha! They are finally here. Get vengeance for our dead brothers and sisters!"

"Kick its butt!"

Everyone got hyped and cheered but soon everyone slowly grew quiet as a lone figure walked out of the crowd. His black hair fluttered in the wind as his firm build was revealed under the numerous bloody bandages around his body.

While he looked badly hurt yet each stride was one which carried enough power and confidence to make people instinctively make way for him.

That's true!

The sole Rü-Ɗestros type amongst the heirs of the six tribes….

Sol Ark!

"He survived?" Cecile was stunned as he believed Sol would die that night meanwhile Theresa was too ashamed to make eye contact with him, she could only lower her head but Sol didn't bother looking her way once.

His eyes were on the mighty figure ahead, worth five points. As long as he can claim the kill, he will be able to lessen the gap between him and the rest.

His eyes flashed as he quickly gazed at the hands of everyone present and he was slightly stunned to see that even amongst them, the highest point was fifteen which was on the palms of Satori of the witch court and Cecile of the blood mountain.

"We do not need the help of a monster like you," Satori said with a deep frown.

Even though he couldn't see he could tell Sol was the one making an entrance.

"Hmph! Only a greater evil can suppress the lesser one. If I have to be the most terrifying demon to suppress all my enemies, then so be it!" Sol's voice boomed with power and confidence, causing Satori to frown and take a step back!

Bang!

Before anyone could talk, Sol shot past everyone and charged toward the seven feet tall orc.

Ding!

[New sub-quest acquired]

[Take the first step forward to regaining the lost glory of the sixth family tribe. Mega rewards assured upon completion]

A message popped up and Sol smiled bitterly. This was the system's way of enticing him into fighting to the death with high rewards. But why would the system care about the sixth tribe so much that it would choose the glory of the sixth tribe over the safety of its host?

Swish!

Whoosh!

'it's faster… it's stronger. Right now I can only rely on my predictive skills to win!' Sol's eyes widened as he noticed the legs of the orc twitch!

Swoosh!

Bam!

The orc raced towards him with astonishing speed, using its hand as a blade as it slashed forward in a bid to decapitate Sol but he had already predicted this and crouched even before it reached him!

Swish!

Sol's eyes narrowed as the muscular leg of the orc could be seen flying towards his crouching body!

Hak!

Sol bellowed as he threw both hands forward and fierce flames exploded from his hands, surging forth with fierce power!

Boom!

Sol was sent flying back like a rag doll, rolling across the ground as so many bones were sure to be broken in the process.
