Chapter 19 - Acting method

Sol frowned at this and wondered why something this important existed and he wasn't informed of it. He is in the process of losing his people and he didn't even get to know about it till now?

[Host is currently too weak to light the Embers of eternity. Failure to light the Embers means death for a Chieftain, so it's best to wait until the host is truly ready for this task]

Sol read the system's information and sighed. In the end, all that matters is power and no one else could tell him otherwise. If he had enough power this wouldn't be a problem.

Sol ignored everything and continued his tour around his territory. With his guards as his guide, he was shown everything and every place concerning the sixth tribe. Everything was normal until Sol arrived at the infirmary he was stunned to realize that it was filled and most of those present here were men.

Did they fight a war or something?

Sol was confused but upon close inspection of these mighty number of patients, he couldn't see a single wound on them, yet there were all in a sleep-like state which they can never return from.

Sol's eyes chilled at this as he considered the possible monsters capable of this.

Hallow mountain is the gateway to the mortal realm so there is no lack of monsters in this place. A few times, one or two monsters have managed to sneak into Hallow mountain so his suspicions are not completely baseless.

According to his knowledge of the world around him, these happen often and it is the duty of the chieftain to safeguard his or her people. With the absence of a leader for a long time, the abilities of these people were almost nonexistent now. Only powerful figures like the Ƙhai'k can retain their powers for this long….

Huff!

Sol frowned as he gazed at this. With the ƙhai'k gone, he has to be the one to deal with this issue.

"Have a detailed report be presented to me in an hour at most. I need to know everything about this incident!" Sol said sternly leaving the nurses and guards present pleasantly surprised.

...…..

The sixth tribe has never been one to be attacked too often. In fact, it is said that during the reign of the previous chieftain that no beast dared trespass into the land of the point. It was said that the sixth tribe was at its peak back then.

But now…

Hmph!

Sol stood atop a building in the night while gazing at one particular well decorated mansion within his domain.

The forbidden palace is a place where many things happen without anyone noticing.

"Weak life force… eternal slumber… Unique fragrance… a fox spirit…. Where is the best place to find a fox spirit other than the most erotic place in my kingdom?" Sol said with a stern look but he didn't approach.

He wasn't sure how powerful the enemy down there is so it would be unwise to jump in. Also as the heir to the throne, he couldn't just enter places like this, nor could he send his weak guards who were almost no different from normal people.

"I guess I won't be able to do anything for now…" Sol said with a frown.

He shot one last glance at the place before jumping off the building and disappearing into the darkness of the night.

...…

Returning to his Castle, Sol quickly retired to his room and sat down, pondering on the events of today. Right now he was on the verge of losing his people both to the rules of this Hallow mountain and the fox spirit.

He wasn't sure how long the Ƙhai'k would spend there before he returns. He sat there and watched everything unfold before his eyes and then a slight smile bloomed on his face.

Now is not the time to ponder on things that cannot be changed. What he should be doing now is looking for a way to get stronger. The simple solution was to get strong, as long as he becomes strong enough to protect everyone, he won't have to bother again.

His eyes seemed to lack any light of excitement in them as he looked beyond everything and pinpointed his main problems. Outside the fact that he was weak now in terms of levels, he also lacked a fighting technique or martial art style.

He quickly remembered the award given to him by the system for becoming the hell hound

The system seemed to encourage his unskilled nature and wishes he keeps acting like the hellhound.

Buzz!

His eyes trembled as a thought came to mind. He remembered the sixth tribe chieftain saying something concerning the Acting method being more effective.

Did that mean if he acts like Cerberus his bloodline will gain strength?

Ding!

[The acting method requires one to assume the role of his bloodline and represent it properly. This quickens the purification of the bloodline but it truly makes one become the beast and act like it. It makes a person become more monster than a man]

Sol read this and frowned. Does that mean to get stronger he must act like Cerberus?

But what was Cerberus like?

How the hell should he know what a Cerberus acts like?

Sol remembered the image in his memories of a three-headed mighty beast standing against the entire Hallow mountain with darkish green hellfire surging around him fiercely.

"That explains a lot…" Sol said with squinted eyes.

Clank!

Sol's door yanked open and a young maid came in with a tray of warm milk and some cakes. It was that same maid that caught his attention when he just arrived here.

"Your snacks my lord!" The lady said in a melodic voice which was enchanting to the ear.

Pa!

Before she could drop the tray, Sol caught her hand with a cold look in his eyes.

"When I came here at first I singled you out and deep down I thought you were special, now I know why…" Sol's eyes revealed killing light.
