At first, there was silence amongst the students clustered since no one expected things to turn out this way, and slowly people began dispersing as they raced to all parts of the forest in search of beasts to kill.
While everyone was running around Sol remained at his spot and pondered deeply on the little information given about this test. He noticed that there were no rules about killing fellow students or stealing from other student's kills. For some reason, no clear rules were laid down and Sol knew why.
In the jungle, there are no rules!
The strongest will naturally come out on top while the weak will naturally be scrubbed away in time. A very simple yet effective method.
Huff!
Sol exhaled as he looked towards the bright sun above and knew it won't always be like this. His first goal on the first day of this test was never meant to kill beasts. He acknowledged he needed to decide where his base of operation would be. A temporary place he can call home and sleep peacefully.
"A home is found and made. I won't find any by standing here" Sol shrugged his shoulders and adjusted his clothes before approaching.
Unlike yesterday he wasn't wearing robes but black trousers with a white shirt and a black jacket on top of it all. He felt grateful he didn't wear his attire of the previous day since it would make movements difficult for him
Ding!
[New mission acquired]
[Subtasks generated]
[Mission: Survive the test]
[Sub task: Emerge with the highest points in this test]
[Each sub task comes with its own generous reward. The host is advised to take them seriously if he wishes to grow]
Huff!
Sol smiled as he saw this. It has been two weeks since the awakening rites and since then he hadn't gotten a new task from the system. He was anxious since he didn't know how it decided his missions so he was scared it might not give him a new task any time soon, thereby stunting his growth.
Thankfully that wasn't the case.
...
Soon thirty minutes or so passed since Sol began moving and strangely he was yet to come across a living beast. As he moved, he occasionally came across some dead goblins and he frowned. As the last person to leave the starting point, it was only natural to see something like this.
He couldn't help but wonder how many points others must have accumulated by now but he didn't mind since he knew the true horrors of this test did not lie in the daytime but in the night.
While the ranking seemed to be made the main purpose of this event, it also didn't mean it was the ultimate goal. As a being thrown into this world, your first priority should be to work on your survival skills.
Swish
Soon Sol arrived near a cave entrance surrounded by well-spaced trees with beautiful vegetation and herbs available. On his way here Sol saw a few strange looking fruits which were enticing but he dared not touch any since he didn't know which was poisonous or not. The only source of food now which he could find safe is meat but it has to be the beasts he will kill.
"This doesn't look bad" Sol was impressed by the location of the cave since it wasn't too far from a stream.
It already passed the first two tests as a good shelter location but there was just one minor problem…
Sol frowned at the entrance of the cave as he saw some strange-looking things made out of dried bones and maybe tied with a red piece of cloth. He has already seen what looked like a human skeleton which must have been here for decades now.
His eyes pierce deep into the dark entrance and he pondered whether he should approach.
"Avoiding all forms of danger also isn't the way… I can only take a look personally" Sol muttered before walking into the dark cave.
"Hak: Release!" Sol's eyes squinted as his open palm created a ball of fire which was a source of light to him as he approached.
Hmmm…
Sol frowned the moment he appeared and stepped in as the stench of blood filled the air.
Fresh blood!
"It seems someone made it here before me" Sol frowned and considered leaving but then after considering the location of the place he pushed the thought aside.
In the jungle, only the weak would make way for the strong.
Making way now is admitting he is weaker without even getting to see who was down here. So without any further hesitation, Sol dove deeper into the cave and he was flabbergasted by what he saw.
Within the cave alone he had seen over five goblin corpses and the sound of heavy fighting could already be heard as he needed the final room of the shallow cave but Sol didn't show himself. Instead, he used the rocky wall as cover before peeping.
Bam!
A female student spat out a mouthful of blood as her body was thrown back, smashing into the wall ahead.
Bam!
She slid to the ground and frowned as she looked up and saw the huge figure of the goblin warlord racing toward her.
Ding!

Sol's eyes widened with strange lights as the system presented him with basic information concerning the two combatants.
"Strong!" Sol had to admit that the base stats of a vampire was much higher than that of any person.
If an average vampire was this strong, how strong is the Heir of the Vlad family?
But that thought wasn't even the most important. What Sol found far more shocking was the girl in question. Seeing so many corpses present he was expecting to see a vicious fighter, only for him to see a lady with higher stats running in circles in a bid to escape the goblin warlord whom she was stronger.
"Someone I know you are there… save me please!" She cried out with teary eyes.
