Ray in his disguise walked into a different, much smaller slave trading establishment.
He introduced himself as Guy once again and made an extremely weird request at which the employee immediately felt cold sweat forming on his forehead.
After a few moments he brought an ugly and rough looking man, with one eye gouged and a bald head, bound in chains.
"As the customer has requested. The cheapest slave with the worst criminal history."
"Crimes?"
"Killed more than twenty innocents, including children. Has a common 'Murderer System' and priced at 5 silvers."
"Alright, I'll take him."
After a few moments, an old man wearing a navy blue robe appeared and cast a weird dark violet magic on the slave.
A magic circle appeared underneath the slave, and the old man asked Ray to inject his mana into the circle.
After a few seconds the magic circle disappeared and a purple crest with weird symbols appeared on the slave's forehead which disappeared after a few seconds.
This was how enslavement magic worked.
Slave trading agencies would have people with enslaving skills, who would keep all the slaves enslaved under the establishment's owner or himself. When someone bought the slave, they would just transfer the ownership. For this, the consent of both the previous and new owners was required.
Once the previous owner retracted their mana from the magic circle, and the new owner would inject his own mana, the new mana signature would be captured, appearing as a crest on the slave, marking the change of ownership.
Even then, enslavement magic had rankings and tiers as well, and an extremely high ranked enslavement skill could forcefully change ownership of a slave.
Yes, there was one restriction. An enslavement skill cannot convert free people into slaves without their consent. It can only change ownerships of slaves made with lower tier skills.

Ray decided and after he finished listening to all the precautions given by the old man about having a dangerous slave from a small organization like theirs, he finally left.
He asked the slave to stay as quiet as possible, before taking him through a lot of small alleys, before finally arriving to a completely desolate area.
He looked around and confirmed they were alone.
"Speak. Did you commit the crimes you were charged with?"
"N-no…"
"Speak only the truth!"

This was another problem with low ranked enslavement skills. Even though the slave could not harm their master, they can't force the slaves into doing things.
"Never mind."
"Wai-"
Before the slave could continue, Ray grabbed his neck and started applying pressure.
"Gahhh…"
Ignoring the man choking and gasping for air and without any emotion, Ray crushed his neck killing him.

The quest asked him to take away everything from someone.
For a slave, the only things they had was their life and their freedom in someone else's hand. As such, he first bought the slave, taking his freedom, and then killed him, taking his last possession… his life.
