Ray immediately ignored the first six tabs. While one could buy a lot of good weapons or artifacts or even rare resources, Ray could already obtain those by using his own money and his various production organizations.

And he didn't need them now. What he needed to buy were divine system functions and special items.

'Show me the available Divine System Functions!'

['System function: 'Skill Toggle' had been unlocked. Host can now switch passive skills on or off as per convenience.]

[Current Balance: 480]

There were around a hundred system functions one had to buy to unlock the real power of the divine system. But that would take a long time as some functions could cost more than 10,000 points.

'Alright next… show me the special items!'

'As expected… there are a lot of special items…'

After thinking for a few moments, Ray decided what he would use his points on.

[Obtained 'Skill Rank Up Card' x4]

[Current Balance: 0]

'Sigh… I'm broke again…'

Even though Ray had spent all his points, he was pretty satisfied.

The toggle skills could be used to switch of the passive aura skills, otherwise he wouldn't be able to infiltrate places hiding his presence.

And he had his own plans for the synthesis function.

'Now… I'll rank up that skill…'

Ray opened his status window and focused on a particular skill.

[Skill: Sleep Vision

Rank: A

Description: Can view everything around you as a third person while you are asleep

Restriction: Cannot move from the place where your body is sleeping.]

'Upgrade skill rank!'

['Skill Rank Up Card' x1 used]

[Sleep Vision (A) has been upgraded to Sleep Travel (S)]

[Skill: Sleep Travel

Rank: S

Restriction: Can be detected by detection spells and even though you cannot die in this state, you can get sealed sending your body to a comatose state.]

'Upgrade skill again!'

['Skill Rank Up Card' x2 used]

[Sleep Travel (S) has been upgraded to Soul Travel (SS)]

[Skill: Soul Travel

Rank: SS

Description: After you sleep, your soul can leave your body to move around freely and phase through objects and living beings. Can immediately return to body from anywhere.

Restriction: Can be detected by people having SS rank or higher soul skills]

Ray finally nodded as he was satisfied with the skill.

Rank Up cards could be used to rank up a skill to a higher rank, but upgrading skills gets progressively more expensive.

For example Ray needed only 1 card to upgrade a skill for the first time, but 2 cards to do it for a second time.

As such to upgrade a B ranked skill to SS rank; one would need 6 cards in total. 1 card to bring it up to A, 2 cards to S and another 3 to SS.

To upgrade any SS rank skill to SSS, one would need 10 cards and to upgrade any (+) ranked skill, one would need just 1 card.

And these cards cannot be used on SSS rank skills.

'This is why people with lower rank systems who get only F or E ranked skills spend all their points just ranking up a few skills to at most A or S, while people with stronger systems who get A or higher rank skills initially get explosively stronger with time…'

Ray shook his head, removing all the useless thoughts from his mind.

Now Ray would have to complete one final step to completely unlock the seven legendary rank systems.

Yes, they were not complete.

Legendary Systems worked in a special way.

The first time one opened a legendary system, they wouldn't be able to view their stats. The only thing they could see was a quest screen like the Ray saw whenever he opened a specific system screen.

This quest was known as the 'Beginning Quest' and must be completed to unlock the host's stat screen and various other functions.

Ray was an exception because he had access to the screen of his divine system, and each legendary system was like a page of a book for him.

But now that he had completed all seven quests, he had unlocked all the functions of the legendary systems.

Now each system would give him main quests and multiple optional side quests and he could do everything, or ignore what he wanted and do only what he liked. And as side quests and main quests were generated based on the host's actions, there would be a huge supply of quests incoming constantly which gave one extreme freedom of choice.

The higher ranked one's system, the more functions it had, and legendary systems had a kind of innate personality and could interact with their hosts in a certain way.

Just like Ray's systems. They all had their own weird personalities.

The Pride system strictly followed rules, never interacted with Ray no matter how strong he became and almost always had an extremely tricky hidden condition to complete its quests. This system generated main quests like conquering kingdoms, fighting people stronger than oneself while the side quests would be generated when someone challenged his authority or position. In one word… it was system filled with pride. Its quests get harder and harder with time, and the similarly the rewards keep getting better.

The Wrath system had a somewhat explosive and uncontrollable personality. Normally it would not interacts with Ray and give simple quests like killing people or punishing them some other way. It generated main quests like killing hidden enemies or people going against the host while side quests would be generated in case of betrayals, someone attacking the host or someone doing something which called for revenge. The rewards were pretty standard but Ray remembered while during his second life, when he was extremely enraged by people close to him betraying him, this system had started cursing suddenly and issued a quest with SSS rank skills as rewards.

The Lust system was like a friend who loved jokes and pranks. It would give main quests like building a harem while it would give side quests when he met a girl, asking him to conquer her which could either have hidden conditions or not. This system pursued pure fun and added remarks at the end of each quest while also having a lot of weird skills catered towards to pleasure and debauchery. Why Ray liked this system was that it often replied when talked to and gave out extremely strong skills at the beginning, ensuring the host to have ease conquering girls and building harems. In one word… this system was like his brother.

The Sloth system was just… lazy. It didn't bother making hidden conditions and exclusively stated every condition without any twist. It generated main quests which pushed you to a happy retired life while side quests asked you to rest while in extremely stressful situations. It gave out pretty balanced skills and rarely interacted with Ray.

The Greed system was always depressed. It gave out extremely imbalanced skills, didn't make hidden conditions and just sighed every time it was asked something. While it's main quests included taking everything away everything from someone who had more than you while side quests were randomly generated when the host interacted with people who possessed something that caught the system's fancy.

The Gluttony system was forever hungry and cheerful the moment the host comes across food or monsters or even sometimes humans. It gave main quests like eating high ranked and extremely rare monster cores, while side quests were generated when the host visited places which had something unique and regional to consume. It had even once generated a cannibalism quest! It gave out skills depending on the thing the host would consume and above all, it gave out hints to complete hidden conditions.

And finally the Envy system. It had no personality and every personality at once. It would do whatever it wanted, giving random quests which sometimes made no sense. Even the clear conditions were weird. Ray didn't know how main quests or side quests were generated and the system gave out skills randomly, without a care of the world.

If one asked Ray to imagine the systems as people, he would say…

Pride was a narcissistic handsome man.

Wrath was a muscle head doing things on impulse.

Lust was a sworn brother, always looking out for you.

Sloth was a retired and lonely old man, sleeping all day.

Greed was a depressed young man associated with a cult.

Gluttony was a hungry man whose life revolved around food.

Envy was someone with a mental disorder.
