"Give me that..." Subh took the phone from her hand abruptly and opened the front camera.
He threw the empty paper cup in the bin and snaked her from behind. He held the phone high with one hand, burying his face in her cheek.
"Say cheese...!" He grinned.
A series of photographs were clicked instantly. He kissed on her cheeks, her neck, and captured random shots.
A few of them were candids, reflecting the pure happiness that they had felt at that moment.
"Now, it's up to you... You can either keep these in your gallery or send these to the 'moron'." He winked.
June needed no more hint.
She grinned evilly and forwarded a few of the best pictures to Rohit.
She took a deep breath and typed a few words.
Same pinch.
Please don't bother texting anymore... as you can see, we're BUSY!
..............
The way downhill was fun-filled. They talked and laughed and shared jokes.
"Wow girl... You are really funny!" Subh was still recovering from the laugh that they had just shared.
"No one has ever told me that." June replied.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yup... May be because I never spoke to anyone so much." June shrugged her shoulders and looked away.
"Hey babe... Thanks..."
June rolled her eyes at him at his address.
"Oopss... My bad... It just came out."
The expression in his face suddenly changed from jovial to grim.
"So... What's your deal?" She asked him casually.
"As in?"
"You know... Your break-up and shit like that..."
"You don't wanna know June... It's nit very pretty a story to tell." Subh took a deep breath.
"Bernadette and I were together from the last three years before she decided to leave me, six months ago..." He tried a force a smile on his face.
"So... You are over her or still..." June asked again
"I can never be over her, June!" He paused.
"But, yeah, I've moved on... I guess... If that's what you are asking."
"You guess?" She remarked quizzically.
Subh didn't respond. His eyes were fixated on the street as they entered the main city of Pune.
"Wanna grab dinner together?" June asked.
Subh let out a sharp sigh.
"I think I'll pass... For tonight." He smiled politely at her.
"So, what's the plan tomorrow?" He tried to sound as cheerful as possible.
"Wake up tomorrow and pick me up... We'll decide then." June forced a smile on her face, trying to sound as assertive as possible.
"Done...!"
It was 8pm as Subh dropped June at the society gate.
"See you tomorrow then." He waved at her as she smiled back courteously at him.
She turned back and started walking straight towards the elevator. Her heart craved to turn around just once to see whether he was still there or not... But, she calmed herself.
'He is just a stranger after all... Just a fling... Or may be a god gifted break from her long mundane life.'
