Leon arrived on the desolate rooftop, surrounded by a legion of liberated. The night sky loomed above, casting an eerie glow on the rooftop. He knew he had to fight his way out, armed with nothing but his m9 and Three spare magazines. Close-quarters combat may be his only chance for survival.
"Ruff!"
"Ruff!"
"Shut up!"
"Ruff!"
"Dam dog, I'm sure it's you that brought him here"
"Owll!"
Leon heard the sound of shouting and the injured dog squeak.
'Is it the husky from before' Leon thought about the injured husky in the alleyway.
The rooftop was a maze of obstacles, providing limited cover but also restricting his movements. Leon's heart pounded in his chest as he carefully surveyed his surroundings. The enemies had him outnumbered, but he was determined not to go down without a fight.
"Rat-Ta-Ta!"
"Bang!"
Leon sprinted towards a concrete barrier, narrowly avoiding a hail of bullets. He crouched behind it, his m9 ready in hand. The air was thick with tension as he braced himself for what lay ahead.
Peering over the barrier, Leon spotted multiple liberated moving towards him. Without hesitation, he rose, his pistol unleashing a rapid succession of shots. The soldier fell, but the sound drew the attention of others. They closed in, their eyes fixed on their lone target.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
As bullets whizzed past him, Leon ducked and weaved, utilizing every inch of cover available. He relied on his agility and experience, closing the distance between him and the enemy. In close quarters, he had the advantage.
With a swift kick, Leon disarmed an enemy soldier, snatching his rifle from his grasp. It was a risky move, but he needed the firepower. Firing in controlled bursts, he took down several adversaries, their bodies dropping to the rooftop like discarded puppets.
"Rat-Ta-Ta!"
But the enemy kept coming, their determination unyielding. Leon's pistol clicked empty, and he swiftly switched to the stolen rifle. He had two spare magazines left, and every shot counted. The rooftop erupted in chaos as the firefight escalated.
In the midst of the chaos, Leon caught a glimpse of a stairwell leading down from the rooftop. It was his only escape route, but it was heavily guarded. Determined, he moved from cover to cover, taking down enemies with precision shots. Bodies fell around him, a macabre testament to his skill and resilience.
As he reached the stairwell, Leon found himself face to face with a formidable opponent, the enemy's commanding officer who kick the dog. They locked eyes, the tension palpable.
"I'm really surprised you made it here"
"Well you saw how good I'm," Leon said arrogantly.
"No one has killed so many of us in years, but this will be the last time."
Leon checked the librated commander and saw he is level 12 but hasn't evolved, which is a good thing for him.
Silently, they entered a lethal ballet of hand-to-hand combat.
Blows interchanged swiftly, each strike propelled by a potent blend of desperation and the primal instinct to survive. Leon fought with every ounce of his waning strength, relying on his honed training and seasoned experience. Although the commanding officer possessed superior physical prowess, Leon seized the opportunity to grasp the commander's head, subjecting him to a relentless series of headbutts. The violent exchange left them both disoriented and dizzy.
"THUMP!"
"Thump!"
The commander forcefully shoved Leon aside, but Leon's agility allowed him to twist and lock the commander's arms as they tumbled to the ground.
"Arhh!"
A resounding cry escaped the commander's lips as he struggled to free his trapped arm. But Leon remained steadfast, refusing to yield. Summoning his final reserve of determination, he delivered a decisive strike, a powerful kick to the commander's head.
"Crack!"
The sound of bone breaking reverberated through the air, incapacitating his adversary.
Gasping for breath, Leon rose to his feet, his mind momentarily shifting to the injured dog lying on the rooftop's edge. Observing the animal's labored breathing, he felt a pang of sadness.
"Will you be alright?" Leon uttered mournfully, aware that the husky's life hung by a thread.
"What can I do to save you?"
With a sense of urgency, Leon accessed his system's inventory, frantically searching for a solution. As he teetered on the verge of despair, a glimmer of hope caught his eye a miraculous item called "Body Reshape."
"Body reshape what that?"
-Body Reshape-
-Effect-Mysteriously creates a new body you desire or that is needed.-
-Price: 2000 Force Points-
"Wow, if this is really as powerful as they claim, it should definitely work," Leon exclaimed with excitement.
Leon purchased the Body Reshape device, and a small black cube materialized in his hand.
"What am I supposed to do with this?"
-Feed it to the husky.-
Leon heard the system's response, realizing that it could answer some of his questions.
He fetched some water and fed the cube to the husky. Within seconds, a circular black metal box formed around the husky.
"Wow, what's happening?" Leon asked, feeling a tinge of worry.
-The husky will be reshaped inside that box. It will take some time, so it's better for the host to leave and find something to do. Once the reshaping is complete, the husky will find you.-
"What if someone tries to steal or destroy the box?" Leon quickly inquired.
-Don't worry, the box is indestructible and very heavy. You can test it if you want.-
"Okay,"
Leon crouched down, wrapping his arms around the box. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead as the veins in his hands and head bulged.
"It's true; it's really heavy. Even with my strength, I can't lift it. No one else should be able to either."
Trusting the system's assurance, Leon decided not to test the durability of the box. He couldn't use his injured hand, and firing a weapon would attract more trouble, considering the chaos he had already caused. It wasn't surprising that reinforcements were already on their way.
Leon quickly picked up discarded liberated weapons from the ground, storing them in his inventory for future use. He then swiftly left the precinct, leaving behind the deceased liberated and the fires burning in his eyes. As a lone warrior, he prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead, determined to emerge victorious.
