Leon lay in a deep slumber, resembling a lifeless body. It had been ages since he last experienced such profound exhaustion, a result of his intense battle against the formidable Crawler. As his heavy eyelids slowly parted, he groggily checked the time on his watch 5 PM. A look of displeasure contorted Leon's face as a foul stench wafted into the room, permeating the air.
"Urgh…" Leon grumbled in disgust, roused from his bed. He sat on the edge of the mattress and accessed the system, discovering that he had attained the level of 6 and had four attribute points to allocate. With careful consideration, he distributed 5 points to each stat Physique, Strength, Speed, and Defense.
- Host: Leon Snake
- Age: 25
- Affiliation: None
- Level: 7
- Force Points: 2810
- Physique: 55
- Strength: 75
- Speed: 72
- Defense: 70
- Talent: The Ace (Normal)
- Skills: CQC (Normal), Gunmanship (Normal)
- Attribute Points: 0
Upon investing the attribute points into his physique, Leon felt a surge of energy and vitality coursing through his body. It appeared that his physique determined his overall health and vitality.
Examining the baseball bat, now clean and free of debris, Leon pondered his next move. "I suppose it's time to upgrade you," he mused.
Normal Baseball Bat:
- Durability: 20%/Repair (50)
- Attachments: Better Grip (50), Nail Bat (60), Spiked Bat (70), Shock Bat (100), Poison Bat (120)
- Note: The spiked bat and Shock Bat can be combined.
"Hmm, that note seems useful. Since I have enough demon points, combining the spiked bat and shock bat would be a wise choice," Leon concluded, eyeing the system blueprint displaying a barbed wire bat intertwined with electrically charged wires, emanating a blue spark.
With over 1000 demon points at his disposal, Leon decided to purchase the better grip and combine the spiked bat with the shock bat. As he made these upgrades, his point balance decreased by 220. Soon, the bat shimmered in a vibrant blue hue before vanishing. In its place, Leon now held a bat with a rubber handle and a mantle adorned with barbed wire.
Shocker:
- Note: When this bat strikes an enemy, it delivers a powerful electric shock, shaking them from the inside out.
Standing up, Leon twirled the bat, testing its newfound capabilities. "Excellent. This is another weapon to ensure my safety," he remarked, aware that while he didn't know all the weaknesses of the new monsters or walkers, he did know that walkers couldn't survive electricity.
The system prompted Leon with a query: -Does the host want to claim this house as their territory? Yes/No.-
"No," Leon promptly replied. He had a plan in mind and felt it was better to establish his territory in the yellow zones.
Deciding to rest until the following morning, as he had a long journey ahead to bypass the walkers' blockade, Leon awoke at 8 AM. He swiftly departed from the house, heading westward to avoid wasting any more time.
Two days had passed since Leon embarked on his journey, encountering numerous walkers along the way, though he had lost count. However, his primary concern lay not with the walkers but with the survivors. Despite two days of traveling, he hadn't come across a single survivor. It puzzled him since even in the red zone, there should have been some survivors. Though he couldn't save everyone, Leon intended to prioritize those who could aid him in gaining control over the city's chaos and forming his special forces squad. For now, walkers remained the sole adversaries he encountered. With each kill, his level increased, making dispatching them easier. Fortunately, he hadn't encountered any more crawlers.
Leon's current destination was a village called Carlos, located near the city's edge. He neared the village, stealthily eliminating a few walkers in its vicinity.
Under the gloomy sky, a dilapidated archway marked the entrance of Carlos village. The sign, which once welcomed visitors to Carlos, had fallen off on one side, swinging gently in the wind, displaying signs of decay. Scattered walkers roamed the village, adding to its desolation.
Leon cautiously removed his shocker bat and knife, sneaking into the village. A mission from his past as a cleaner came to mind about delivering supplies to this very village. However, after a month, walkers had overrun the place. Leon recalled hearing reports of over 300 walkers infesting Carlos village.
-New Task: Clear out Carlos village of Walker, Reward,1000 Force Points 3% City Trust/control-
Approaching the village, Leon, Leon's alias, silently scouted the area, eliminating a few walkers along the way. Moving methodically, he systematically cleared out the walkers that came into his line of sight, eliminating more than thirty of them. Although killing walkers had become somewhat routine for Leon, he still remained vigilant, aware that the walkers in this village seemed to possess similar characteristics to the crawlers.
Surveying his surroundings, Leon noticed that the village primarily consisted of three-story buildings, sharing a similar architectural style. After some contemplation, a brilliant idea crossed his mind, prompting him to enter one of the houses and begin his preparations.
Leon started moving in and out of several adjacent small buildings, setting up his plan. As he engaged in these activities, he readied himself to eliminate any walkers that may intrude. Luckily, the dimly lit interiors of the houses offered him cover, reducing the chance of attracting unwanted attention.
"Crack!"
Unfortunately, as Leon proceeded cautiously, he accidentally stepped on broken glass, emitting a sharp sound that echoed through the house.
Hurriedly, Leon ascended to the upstairs area and blocked off the staircase to prevent the walkers from advancing further. Holding his shocker bat tightly in both hands, he waited for the walkers to reach the top, one by one. As they entered the doorway, each fell victim to Leon's shocker bat, their bodies convulsing as the electricity coursed through them. However, after dispatching dozens of walkers, they began to pile up on the stairs, creating a blockade that halted their ascent.
But more walkers came rushing in climbing over the blockade of dead walkers.
"Give me a break and just die already," Leon muttered in frustration.
Ascending to the third floor, Leon leaped from one building to another effortlessly, his enhanced physique enabling him to cover a distance of 20 feet with ease.
On the third floor, only a small group of walkers managed to enter the building, while the rest remained congested at the door. Leon descended from the building, entering it to catch his breath after the relentless slaughter of walkers. Taking a moment to rest, he found himself suddenly attacked by a shadow hurtling toward him with astonishing speed. Acting on instinct, Leon swiftly dodged to the left, narrowly avoiding the assault. However, he could feel a stinging pain on his right cheek, evidence of the attacker's swift strike.
Before he could assess the wound, Leon swiftly retrieved his shocker bat. To his surprise, his assailant turned out to be a small black cat, which now crouched ten meters away, its blood-red eyes glaring fiercely at him.
"A mutated animal!" Leon exclaimed, recognizing the immense threat that mutated creatures posed in these post-apocalyptic times. The small black cat before him possessed deadly traits a compact size, incredible speed, and razor-sharp claws and teeth.

"Hiss!"
The black cat hissed, baring its bloodied fangs.
"Swoosh!"
Reacting swiftly, Leon hurled his knife toward the black cat, aiming to strike it down. However, the feline evaded the dagger with a graceful mid-air maneuver, leaping toward Leon with lightning speed. Leon, too, lunged toward the black cat, attempting to strike it with his shocker bat. Yet, the cat eluded his attack effortlessly, evading Leon's swing. The cat's front paws swiped at Leon's face, forcing him to lower his head. In doing so, he felt a sharp pain in his right shoulder. Turning to assess the damage, he found the black cat on the ground, fixated on him.
Once again, the black cat lunged at Leon, this time on the ground. Leon attempted to kick it, but the agile feline evaded the attack, clawing at his leg. Reacting quickly, Leon spun around, using his momentum to kick the cat with his left foot, sending it flying. The cat twisted in the air, landing gracefully on all fours. As Leon approached, he retrieved his knife, closely monitoring the cat's movements.
'What should I do? Think, Leon, think,' he pondered.
Leon reached into his backpack and pulled out a bag of meat. The black cat stared intently at the meat, captivated by its scent. Leon tossed the meat to the side, diverting the cat's attention away from him. As the cat eagerly devoured the offering, Leon swiftly brought his shocker bat down, trapping the cat beneath its electrified grip. Electricity surged through the feline's body for a few seconds as it struggled against the bat.
"Zizzy!"
"Zizzy!"
After a brief struggle, the red glow in the cat's eyes faded, and it succumbed to its demise.
