The entire camp fell into stunned silence as Leon, blood-soaked, approached, casually flicking the gore off his bat. The survivors stared at him in awe, their expressions a mix of shock and gratitude. Leon took a moment to survey his surroundings a basic camp with about thirty survivors. He had questions that needed answers.
"May I ask you a couple of questions?" Leon inquired, his voice steady and firm.
The survivor hesitated for a moment, overwhelmed by the situation, before finally responding, "Yes, yes! You are our savior, our true hero!"
With a confident stride, Leon stepped inside the camp, his gaze sweeping across the faces of the survivors. He couldn't help but notice the weariness etched on their features. He had to find out why they were in the dangerous red zone.
"Why did you choose to stay in the red zone?" Leon asked, his voice filled with genuine curiosity.
The survivor took a deep breath before answering, "We all came from the nearby apartments, hoping to enter the yellow zone. However, there were hordes of walkers blocking every path."
"What about the military?" Leon interjected, his concern evident.
The survivor's expression darkened. "The military pulled out," he replied. "We don't know why, but it seems we've been abandoned. We've been trapped here, waiting for the government to save us. But with each passing day, the walker infestation grows."
Leon's shock was palpable. If the military had abandoned the area, it could only mean they were overwhelmed by the walkers or some other unknown threat. Either way, it left him with limited options. He had to find a way out, but with the yellow zone blocked, he would have to explore the other side.
"Thank you for the information. I must be on my way now," Leon said, turning to leave.
"Wait! Wait!" the fat man called out desperately.
Leon halted, turning back to face the survivors who now surrounded him, their eyes pleading for help. The fat man spoke up, his voice filled with desperation, "Can you help us escape?"
Leon paused for a moment, weighing his options. "Not now," he replied firmly. "But perhaps in the future, when the time is right."
The survivors' disappointment was evident, but they understood his decision. They would have to rely on their own resilience until then.
Leon swiftly made his way out of the camp, a man behind him raising his gun in hesitation. The fat man quickly intervened, dissuading him from pulling the trigger. As Leon disappeared from their sight, the fat man slumped to the ground, frustrated and defeated.
After walking for a while, Leon found himself in a quiet alley. He took a moment to access the system stats, realizing he had leveled up twice during his battles.

Leon was surprised by his progress. He hadn't even realized he was gaining experience. Now, he had to make choices about how to allocate his newly acquired attribute points. After careful consideration, he decided to invest in 5 Strength, 5 Stamina, and 10 Defense. As the points flowed into his body, he felt a surge of energy, akin to the effects of a super-soldier serum.
"Now, I need to find a way out of this red zone past the walker blockade," Leon mused, determined to make his escape.
It was now 10 AM, and Leon had been walking for a few minutes when he entered a house in search of a better weapon. However, as soon as he stepped inside, an unexpected message from the system rang in his mind.
[ You have entered a boss monster territory! ]
[ You have triggered a Boss-fight ]
[ Boss-Fight: Kill the boss or be Killed ]
[ Task: Please kill the territory's boss to finish the boss-fight. Note: During this fight, you can't get out of the building! Good Luck, Host! ]
The atmosphere turned eerie as a cold wind brushed against Leon's face, The hair on his back stood up, and He felt a lingering sense of being watched. The information from the system told him what he needed to do to kill the owner of this territory. There was no escape, no other choice.
Leon raised his guard and immediately took out his bat, scanning his surroundings. The large room had dim lighting, a staircase leading to the second floor, a sofa and table on the left, and a few paintings adorning the walls. The tension in the air grew as Leon processed the situation.
This was his first encounter with a boss territory, and he didn't fully understand what it entailed. However, he knew one thing for certain he had to kill the boss to survive. It was a matter of killing the enemy or being killed by the enemy.
Leon felt the feeling of being watched was getting stronger and stronger, he could not find the thing that watched over him, but somehow he could feel that thing was getting closer to him.
"Hiss!"
Suddenly, a hissing sound pierced the silence. Leon's gaze shot upward, and there it was an unknown monster. It resembled a three-meter-long dog with bent, skinny legs, sharp claws, and a menacing mouth filled with multiple rows of teeth.

-Skill: Claw Strike-
Leon saw the realize its claws from the ceiling using its leg to pounce toward him from the top, He immediately rolled to the side and avoided the monster.
Leon was taken aback by the creature's agility. He had never fought anything other than walkers in the red zone. His strikes would be useless if he couldn't land a hit on the monster. However, he had no choice but to face it head-on. It was either kill or be killed.
With a powerful swing, Leon struck the Crawler, sending it flying to the side. However, the tenacious creature quickly recovered and retaliated with a swipe of its claws. Leon deftly dodged the attack, narrowly evading the lethal blow.
There was no respite as the Crawler immediately turned around and lunged at him, its two arms reaching out. Leon raised his bat, blocking one arm, but the other struck him in the stomach, sending him hurtling backward.
"Bang!"
As he regained his footing, the Crawler charged at him once more. Leon bided his time, waiting for the opportune moment.
"Swoosh!"
Leon saw the realize its claws from the ceiling using its leg to pounce toward him from the top, He immediately rolled to the side and avoided the monster, When he stood up he saw the monster already dashed toward him, Leon was taking his time for the monster to get closer.
"Fwoosh!"
Leon swung the bat, at the crawler sending it flying to the side, a couple of meters back.
Leon couldn't get a break because the crawler quickly turned back around and lunged over him with its two arms, raising his bat the crawler held onto but Leon could block the other leg, so the crawler kick him in the stomach sending him flying back.
"Bang!
"Ahh!"
"Ahh!"
Leon crashed against a large table, his back screaming in pain. Despite the agony, he mustered the strength to push through. Ignoring the throbbing ache, he rose to his feet, his resolve unyielding.
"Urgh!"
Leon let out a strained groan as he fought against the acute pain shooting through his spine. He couldn't afford to let it slow him down. Adapting swiftly, he seized a nearby pan and used the table as cover, waiting for the Crawler's next move.
Leon got up from the pain slip over the table, then flip the table grabbing a pan on the down, using the table as a cover Leon waited.
"Hiss!"
The Crawler let out a piercing hiss, its eerie cry filling the room. It lunged forward, leaping over the table and landing beside Leon. In a swift motion, he brought down the pan upon its head, causing the creature to become momentarily disoriented.
"Pan!"
"Pan!"
Leon struck the Crawler twice on its thick, hardened skull, blue blood spattering the surroundings. But before the monster could retaliate, it kicked Leon, sending him sprawling across the kitchen countertop.
"Bang!"
Crashing into the countertop, Leon ignored the pain and made a beeline for his bat. The Crawler, however, quickly closed the distance and charged at him once more. With a swift swing, Leon struck the Crawler's head, sending it hurtling toward a wall. He wasted no time, pummeling the creature's head relentlessly.
"Crack!"
"Crack!"
"Crack!"
Each strike shattered the Crawler's skull, reducing it to a pool of blood, mushed brain, and broken bones.
With the Crawler defeated, the system's voice echoed in Leon's mind.

A series of notifications rang in Leon's head, but he paid them little attention. Instead, he focused on finding the nearest secure room. He entered one and noticed a small bed. Exhausted, he sat down to catch his breath.
"Huff!"
"Huff!"
"Huff!"
After regaining his composure, Leon checked the time was 2 PM. He then located the bathroom and took a much-needed shower, cleansing himself of the grime and blood. Spending the next ten minutes securing the house, Leon finally returned to bed and drifted off into a well-deserved sleep.
