Chapter 7 - -Part 02-

He tried to hit her in the face with the hammer but she was fast enough to dodge by turning her head to the side.

He tried to strike her again, and avoided it again by lowering her body backwards to become behind him quickly, until that she's the one holding the hammer in her hands.

-(Don't be afraid of me, please. I'm not a threat to you and I'm not here to hurt anyone. Please don't misunderstand me).

She put the hammer away on the floor and sat back on the sofa quietly, continuing her words:

-(I have fled the great evil embodied in the form of "Flamethrower" or who you may recognize as the ruler of the forest "Tamader". And who is also my mother as this world has imposed on me).

Talan, who was very attentive and focused, asked her curiously:

- (And why would you run away from your mother and your world to here in particular?).

-(I've been planning my escape for a long time and until yesterday I had some help from a powerful flaming. I've had enough of her mental torture and malice. She always says that she has a reason behind every crime she commits against human beings, ...but I think that as only an excuse to keep me by her side ).

-(And why did you choose our cursed village to flee to when you could have fled to a much more open town where they wouldn't find you?).

-(For this very reason. Because she won't think that I might run away to a damned place so close to her. She will think of all the other open places except here. Also, I know you are good people and you've had your bitter experiences with Tamader too, so i thought that you would be the most people to welcome me and understand what I went through).

Adam giggled frighteningly, then said:

-(Did you really think we would believe this story of yours? Or did you think that you could play with our emotions or seduce us with your innocent appearance? I advise you to tell me your real motive for coming here, as long as I still ask nicely ).

Amalia pulled her hair impatiently, and said:

-( I've told you everything I had quite frankly. Then why would I lie about my motive, and what would "Tamader" want from you more than she took?).

Adam giggled again in a more hysterical manner, causing panic and fear to the woman sitting in silence, which prompted Talan to intervene :

-(You can stop now, Adam. You're overreacting to her.)

He passed the other's shocked expressions at his words and focused his gaze on the terrified one, asking:

-(So Amalia...if you're a flaming witch like that " Flamethrower" , then you can break the curse that's trapped us in or reverse it or something?)

The other shook her head regretfully, then moved her hesitant lips to say:

-(No. No being on earth can decipher or reverse the "Tamader" magic . That is why she is the " flamethrower", and there is no other being like her... She represents absolute evil)

Adam stared at his friend who seemed convinced in disbelief :

-(Do you really believe the words of this wicked person? She is a flaming witch, Talan, wake up! that's what they do)

-(It was you who told me that day not to judge all of them as evil, and that they are probably good. That is why I believe that there is good in this very flaming lady ) Talan replied.

-(It was from the past. I was wrong, so don't believe in the same mistake as I did, and whatever it is, she remains the daughter of the "Flamethrower".... "Tamader" the one who confined us inside a closed loop of hell, and every time we look at her she will remind us of her curse and what Our condition has come to).

He finished his mean words while staring at her with a hateful look that she had never seen before. She has not felt hated and small in all her years until today.

She couldn't even imagine how much someone hated her before, and now she was punched one after the other for something she didn't even do.

Some drops of tears gathered in her eyes, but she immediately hid them so as not to appear weaker than she is, then she moved her lips to defend herself:

-(You think it's easy for me to be this being that I can't even stand? You're wrong because I have feelings too like you, and you're so mean that you just reminded me how much I hate my current self too.... I was also human , but fate wasn't by my side.)

Amalia bit her lower lip for a few seconds to prevent herself from exploding and giving in to crying. Then she added:

-(I am not happy that I have become the daughter of the creature with the greatest evil that cannot be tolerated. The world of the "Flamethrower" is not as easy to get along with as you think. I have spent the past twenty years all afraid and trying to preserve my personality and humanity so that I do not become a killing machine like them ).

She lifted her head up and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath.

-(You have no idea of the amount of pain I went through, fearing that my identity would be erased and even the last thing left to remind me of my humanity, and battling myself not wanting to become the ruthless creature she has always strived to make me into).

Tears fell like a waterfall from her brown eyes as she tried to hold back her sobs that had become out of her control.

Talan sat next to her and patted her on the back out of sympathy for her and his feeling of sorrow for what she had to face at her young age. But something about the way she spoke of her mother puzzled him. so he asked her:

-(Is "Tamader" your real mother, Amalia?).

Amalia sighed, pressing her closed eyes tightly, as if she refused to open the topic again.

-(It's okay, I'm all ears and ready to hear your story).

Talan spoke in his calm, narcotic tone, which gave Amalia a sense of comfort and reassurance in talking to him, as if he was the big brother she had always dreamed of having.

She smiled at him expressing her gratitude, but he could see the brokenness in the reflection of the mirror in her brown eyes.

She turned to meet him and then went on to tell her story:

-(It started on the night of the seasonal festival, after I went looking around for my parents who had lost their minds after the death of my sick twin sister. We found a giant tree containing all kinds of fruits and good things. Nothing like it before.)

-(Was this tree inside your village?) Talan asked.

-(No. It was near the forbidden forest... And while they were picking and taking, a leaf fell from the tree with a clear warning that no one should touch that tree. But my parents did not listen to the warning and pushed me to the ground on a big rock that made me lose my balance, then they continued taking the fruits until the tree was about to empty, until the bird that was around me turned into smoke, and from the smoke the figure of that charming woman that I met for the first time that night was formed).

- ( " Tamader") Talan replied.

Amalia nodded softly, then added:

-(My vision became more blurry after that, and the last thing I could see was the intense discussion that was going on between my parents and "Tamader" with her strict features. She was screaming at them while they were fighting her more. Until she grabbed my father's neck and separated his head from his body in front of my eyes. and threw him to the ground.)

She closed her eyes again, taking a deep breath, remembering what happened next.

-(I was not able to move because of the weight of my body, which was lifted at that moment. My tears increased the mist around my eyes, so I tried to close and open them again and again so that I could see what would happen next. I saw her throwing my mother's head to the ground along with my fathers, then she set them on fire with a tap from her fingers, to leave me without a whole body to bury until I had to collect their ashes inside a flask and bury them away as if they were not human, even animals are buried with their dignity).

Amalia collapsed while saying her last words until Talan tightened his hand on her back repeating:

-(It's okay, Amalia, it's okay)

As he tries to calm her down, Adam finally speaks:

-(Go on. How did you end up being her daughter?)

Talan felt angry at his friend's cruel and inconsiderate behavior, to speak sharply:

-(The girl is devastated now, Adam. Put your questions for later, until she rests.)

Adam stared at his friend aggressively, and the other gave him the same look.

Noticing the tension that she caused between these two friends, Amalia intervened to calm the atmosphere:

-(It's okay, Talan. In fact, I woke up to find myself inside a narrow wooden room. I was startled at first until I saw her sitting on her wooden chair to my left, staring at me and smiling maliciously as if I was a new experiment for her. She came up to me and clapped her hands to appear a girl from nothingness, carrying in her hands a wooden plate inside which was a colorless liquid mixed with tree leaves and some grains that were nothing like I had seen before, so she asked me to drink it so that I would wake up and get better faster, and despite my disbelief in her, the panic and fear that I was feeling made me drink it ....Then I woke up again in the same room surrounded by girls my age, dressing me and combing my hair, and then she came into the room hugging me and calling me her little flaming witch , I shuddered at how warm she was, and if she hadn't killed my father I would have felt As a luxurious princess, but so cowardly and weak that I could not avenge my parents on her.)

Adam shook his head intently, then asked curiously:

-(And how did you become a flaming witch like her?).

Amalia swallowed her saliva and then continued :

-(It happened when I drank that strange liquid which she claimed would make me better. She deceived me, and yet I had no strength to face her. And when I did not carry out all her horrible deeds against men, she brought another girl and made her her second daughter as she forced us to be sisters, and now She is the one doing her filth.)

Adam asked again:

-(And did anything change in your appearance and age after you became inflamed?).

Amalia nodded her head in support of his words, then added:

-(With time, I realized that I stopped growing after I was twenty years old and became immortal).

Talan smiled.

-(Well, what matters now is that we know you're not really her daughter and just another victim of hers. There's no need to make things big, Adam.)

The other stared at him sharply and then said:

-(I don't care if she is her real daughter or not. All I know is that she grew up with her for long enough years to make her one of them. And I know that her presence here is not a coincidence, but part of a great plan that she and her mother are weaving, so don't forget that she is a damned flaming And cheap, like Tamader, who was the reason for what afflicted us and our families as well).

He finished his speech by slamming the door hard behind him and leaving the house in anger while cursing himself, leaving the one behind him immersed in her fear and anxiety that she would be exposed because of the rebel who had just left. And at the same time, she was wounded because of the hurtful words he threw at her like an arrow. Throughout her years, no one's words affected her as his did today.

Talan sat next to her, patting her back, trying to comfort her :

-(Please don't listen to what he says in a moment of anger. He's always so nervous, but I hope you'll understand that seeing you opened old wounds for him that were caused by the " flamethrower" , not you, so just handle him please )

Amalia looked at him with teary red eyes.

-(And what is my fault if I am destined to become the daughter of the fiery woman whom he detests? What have I done to receive so much hate?).

Talan felt pity and sadness for her, so he suggested that she stay in his house better than live with Adam under one roof.
