Chapter 28 - Jessica

Aiden and Sophia left the hotel when it was slightly cooler.

At this moment, it was already morning. The morning sun rose from the horizon and dyed the sky red.

The streets were no longer noisy like last night. There were only some sanitation workers collecting trash. Occasionally, they would pass by a couple who had just ended a night of passion.

Eddie sent them to the door and shouted excitedly, "F*ck! I didn't expect myself to be so awesome. You should have told me earlier. If you had told me, I would have saved the world long ago!"

Aiden rolled his eyes. 'Tell you earlier? You probably won't save the world but destroy it.'

At the thought of this, he was a little puzzled.

Could a person's IQ really be so low?

Seeing that Eddie was still shouting, Aiden quickly covered his mouth and reminded him in a low voice, "Keep a low profile! You haven't developed yet. You'll die if you're too arrogant!"

Eddie was stunned by his words and quickly retracted. "Understood, don't worry."

With that, he ran across the road and got into a sports car. Before he left, he remembered to wave at them. "Come on! Save the world!"

The sports car roared away, leaving Aiden and Sophia looking at each other.

"It didn't make sense for the Fool not to go berserk after being provoked like this," Sophia analyzed calmly.

"Maybe he's stupid…" Aiden couldn't think of any other reason for Eddie's behavior.

"Perhaps. In any case, we should be careful from now on. As you know, he's not simple." Sophia stretched lazily.

"I'm going back to rest. It's been a long night. I'm exhausted."

A few women with heavy makeup that were passing by heard her words and shot Aiden ambiguous looks. One of them even boldly pulled down her dress in front to show Aiden her impressive breast.

Aiden blushed and glared at Sophia, who had a faint smile on her face. He pulled her to the side.

After the women left, Aiden heaved a sigh of relief and said angrily to Sophia, "Can you be more careful with your words next time? What if others misunderstand?"

"Tsk, coward." Sophia did not take his words to heart at all.

"I'm leaving. Bye."

After a night of ups and downs, she only wanted to go home, take a shower, and have a good night's sleep.

"Mm. See you later."

Aiden also headed home. He hadn't been home all night, so his parents were probably going to nag him for a long time.

He returned to the familiar house. As soon as he entered, Aiden heard hurried footsteps. Before he could react, his vision darkened as a dark figure with a fragrant scent threw itself into his arms.

"Guess who?" A young and delicate female voice sounded in his ears. The familiar feeling instantly stimulated the memories in the depths of Aiden's mind, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl into a smile.

"Oh my, who could it be?"

Aiden said deliberately.

"Take a guess." She sounded a little unhappy. "Don't tell me you can't even recognize my voice?"

The little girl should have pouted her pink lips by now, right?

Aiden snickered and continued to feign ignorance. "Sigh, it feels familiar, but I just can't remember."

"Hmph! If you still can't guess it, I'll ignore you from now on!" The voice was angry.

"Haha, so angry. Who else can it be but Jessica?"

Aiden smiled and pulled down the hands covering his eyes. In front of him stood a blonde girl in a floral dress. Her eyes were huge, and she was as beautiful as a doll. She was pouting unhappily.

This little girl's name was Jessica Green. He had met her when he was at his grandfather's house in the countryside. She was the farm owner's daughter. She was a lively and cute girl, but he had not seen her since he went to university.

"Hmph! Brother Aiden is the worst! You only know how to tease me!" Jessica wrinkled her cute little freckled nose.

Aiden was in a daze when he heard this. He hadn't heard her say this for many years. He didn't expect the little girl who used to cry behind his back to grow into a beauty.

A girl of this age had just left the immaturity of a little girl. The vigor and vitality of youth on her body would unconsciously make people feel relaxed. Even though he knew that the other party was very likely a vicious beast, Aiden still relaxed at this moment.

Although the little girl tried her best to act mature, she looked like an angry kitten to Aiden. Apart from being cute, there was nothing else.

"Hehe, little girl, why are you in the city?"

"The countryside is too boring." Jessica pouted and complained. But she thought of something and immediately changed to a fierce expression. With her hands on her hips, she shouted at Aiden, "Tell me! Where did you go last night?"

"What?"

Before Aiden could react, the little girl suddenly frowned and jumped to his side. She leaned close to him and sniffed.

"This is… perfume?!" The little girl's eyes widened in shock and grievance.

"Could it be that… you went to get a room with a woman?!"

Aiden gave her a helpless look. What was in this little girl's head?

However, she became even angrier when he didn't say anything. In that moment, the little girl's mind had already imagined the scene of Aiden entering and leaving a hotel with a bad woman. She immediately became hysterical and pulled Aiden's sleeve, shaking it vigorously.

"I don't care! You have to give me an explanation. You clearly said that you would marry me when I grow up. I don't care…"

Cough!

A dry cough caused Aiden's body to tremble, and cold sweat slowly trickled down his back.

When he looked up and saw the tall figure in the living room, Aiden's mouth twitched and he forced a smile that was uglier than crying.

"G-Uncle Grimm, you're here too…"
