A feeling of dread ran throughout the twin sister's bodies as she noticed that 'mountain' they were looking at was truly just a mass of people merely in a mountain shape. At this point, it did not really matter if they were being dragged towards the mountainous pile of transformed human bodies or if it was being dragged towards them.
"Lina you have to go let go now," Kate said as she tried to move yet still not lucky as her body was not responding at all anymore.
"What are you talking about I will not leave you behind," Lina told her
"Think about it as we might not know where we are but you can still moving thus might be able to avoid the collision course all of us that can not move are on" the white hair sister yelled.
"Then what after dodging the collision course once? I do not know my way out of this place and neither does any of us who are still able to move freely" the black hair sister yelled back
'No...No....No' Kate thought as she was willingly bet on the fact that Lina was amongst the group that could freely move around and hopefully, they could either outlast or escape from this prison cell that they found themselves stuck in
'What if that moving around makes it worse' Lina thought to herself as she did not reveal to his sister that those of her group, were free to move around. It was like they were stuck in water and unable to pull the actually dead with this mess at the moment
Both sisters had their own problems yet were not trying to add more worries to others than they already had. However, this did not stop the collision course they were on with the mountain of human statues one way or the other. So the two sisters were merely bracing for whatever impact was coming their way. Kate's eyes completely closed while Lina kept one eye open at least to see just what was going to happen to them after that point.
When Kate opened her eyes again she found herself slowly sinking into the mountainous pile of mass human bodies that were now all around her. Her body slowly converted into the same metallic substance that everyone around had long since turned into. Her surroundings merely showing the outlines of the various humans that had become one with this enormous mass, the only detail that they were singular beings was their outlines on the surface.
Lina on the other hand felt more like the mass was passing right through her as she was transparent with the only sign of her still being solid was the fact that she was still holding on to Kate's hand. The two sisters despite all that had happened to them up until this point had never let go of the other hands at all. The worried look on Lina's face as she was looking upwards at Kate. It was matched by the scared look Kate had on her own.
Rather than feeling transparent as if the mass of metallic bodies was passing through her. Kate instead felt like she was fusing with the mass slowly as her own weight increased as her consciousness was getting weaker as it felt like it was being spread out and she was becoming less of herself and more of part of a collective that threatened to swallow her up whole. In Lina's case, she was feeling any of this as what she did not know was those that were actually in her position or at least the most similar one to it felt nothing as that what they were in a sense becoming. As Lina was merging with the mountainous mass of human bodies because she was being absorbed into the ground itself.
Kate then felt the metallic substance reach her head and then started to finish her conversion into the same metallic substance as everyone else that had merged with the mountainous mass of human bodies. However, her consciousness was on the verge of fading away having been stretched so thin that Kate was starting to see herself not as a singular person who was part of this 'mountain' but as the very 'mountain' itself. That was when the last thing her eyes saw before the conversion claimed her completely was Lina was still visible in her line of sight. The two were still holding hands and she managed to pull herself back together so that she remained Kate with the portion of her body from the waist above actually sticking out the mass of metallic human bodies as she still looked downard at her twin sister though her expression was now neutral one. She stared at her sister with her internal panic as she was no longer able to use any of her senses to perceive the world outside of her metallic substance her body had become. The only two connections Kate still had were that feeling of the hand she was still holding with Lina and the nagging feeling of collective trying to absorb her consciousness which was actually kept at bay by Kate's connection to Lina's hand.
Lina on the other hand, her body was stuck with her looking up at Kate. Her vacant neutral expression was looking up at her sister's. However, her attention was more on what was happening beneath her instead. Her focus at the moment her body was fully converted into the same metallic substance as Kate and the others that were now a part of the 'mountain' was that she was seriously sinking into the ground itself. Her body below the waist had already vanished into the ground and everything about it was sticking out it like she was in some kind of liquid instead of one solid ground. Even one of her arms was trapped underneath the ground with the other arm being Lina's only connection to her sister. This connection was kept Lina's consciousness not from merging into a collective but instead from just vanishing into nothingness entirely. Apparently, the fate of those who were absorbed into the ground was to just become nothing as their entire existence just became the ground itself. Lina was spared this fate as she still had that connection to her sister through the pair was still holding hands even after everything that had happened to them.
