Careful about what these were as he did not know how he got them or even why he could not take them off. Through the power, he fell through them, and just how easily he was able to scale the wall to climb his way back to the surface. Got him wondering if he had managed to come across something he had only heard in passing stories during his travels. He carefully looked down to see that he had indeed literally just pulled himself up one hand at a time out of this whole he created. The wall below him now looked like a makeshift climbing wall with all the holes he created while climbing up.
Taking a break away from the hole he climbed out of to collect himself before moving on. Thinking it would be fine to relax here for just a moment.
'Danger detected' the twins thought together 'Owner will not react in time to properly defend himself against the oncoming attack. Taking action to defend owner'
The twin on his right arm then swung herself upwards so that their owner's arm was raised along with them. This was all to defend against a bladed weapon that clashed with them mere moments later.
Both the attacker and their owner were shocked by this action as it seems neither was aware that the twins remaining in their gauntlet form had taken action on their own in the defense of their owner.
"Not only are you still alive after that fall but you even managed to somehow acquire a relic too," his attacker said
"And who do you think is to blame for taking a fall that could have killed me" the twin's owner replied angrily
Having successfully defended their owner from that attack. The twin that formed was the right gauntlet quickly switched from blocking to grasping the weapon themselves and then as she yanked the now still shocked attacker towards their owner. Where the twin that was the left gauntlet delivered a powerful body blow.
Stumbling back from the blow the attacker actually coughs up some blood from that body blow they had taken.
'Damage occurred successfully' the twins both thought.
However, this did confuse their twin's owner whose arms were being moved by them rather than doing anything themselves.
'How is it possible that there was some random relic he found out there was not only able to stand up to my own but that power of that strike should not be possible for dual type relic' the attacker thought.
Dual type relics were those whose natural forms were two different weapons. Different from the transforming type where a single weapon could become multiple or as the name suggests transform. Though the weakness of the dual type was their overall strength and power were halved between the two of them.
'Yet that blow felt like it was not only a normal level but higher for some reason' they thought
Their owner's attacker was so lost in thought over him somehow managed to not only find a relic, awaken it, and also use it to fight them off all at the same time.
'Owner appears to be fleeing as that seems to be the better option at the moment' the twin thought out.
They did not plan to take any more actions on their own unless it was again in the defense of their owner though.
Thus a result of all the thoughts and theories that were running through their head at the moment given that just how strange they found this scenario they were in to be. The twins were keeping watch for their owner as he attempted to run away from their attacker.
'Threat detected imploying countermeasures' the twins thought
Their owner did not realize what happened next as the twins raised themselves in front of their faces. Managing to block another blow but not enough to prevent them from being pushed back in the process.
'This guy is not fighting at all it seems as if it's his weapons that seem to be doing this' the attacker thought and from that thought, they would have a means to easily counterattack
However, the attacker then found themselves on the ground as their legs were kicked out from under them. twin's owner starting to take a more active role in this fight. Rather than just being a passive observer who merely has his arms moved about by his own weapon. Instead of it being the other way around like it normally should be.
The attacker made a quick glance at the crater then was formed where their head had been moments earlier. Said crater being caused by gauntlets their target had found somehow.
Then a heated exchange happened as the twin's owners attempted a furry of blows against his attacker. Ones that were blocked at almost every moment except through near misses. Such things were punished as dodging within just a hair's length led to a sudden change in direction which caused the blow to hit.
The biggest problem was these sudden changes were not opening up their target either as they seemed to go with the flow and plan their next movement accordingly.
Unable to fully regain themselves and their standing in this fight anymore. Their only option was to flee themselves and run away though the cause was not because of their target's newly found relic. Even though he seemed to be able to use it at a decent level it seems that he either did not know how to use their ability or was not doing it for some reason. That his attacks were landing because the attacker was being caught off guard so focusing could have caused a different outcome. However, that first blow caught them completely off guard and managed to score a massively critical hit on them.
Another reason was that they realized the area that they were in at the moment. Realizing this they had to report it right away. This was a direct order from their superior to do so if something like that place was discovered (the attacker also glimpsed the hole in the ground and guessed that was where their target got his relic).
Of course, such thought and getting distracted during the middle of a fight could and would prove costly. As the twin's owner got in another good blow that mirrored the first one that did massive damage. Then followed it up with the attacker's head being smashed in their knee.
Aware of the difference in their ability as well as their experience this causes one that had awakened the twins to run away after their last attack. He was not sure where he was going but he just knew that he had to get away from this place as quickly as possible. The idea was that his attacker might not be alone but merely working with someone or for some group. The idea of even getting back up once they recovered to ensure that they finished the job this time around was a possibility since his gaining the gauntlet he now had was not something that his attacker thought would have happened.
Before he knew the twin's owner found himself a dozen of miles away from his previous location where he came across the gauntlet that he used to make his attacker lose consciousness. After this, he just collapsed as he was utterly exhausted having used up all his energy along with the power that was flowing through him no longer do so either.
