Gauntlets
A type of glove that protects the hand, wrist, and sometimes even the forearms. They are considered to be two types of gauntlets those that serve as strictly as armor and those that serve as a form of weapons strictly meant to be used combatively. The twins Kate and Lina had become the latter as they stood facing upward in their statue's torso. Revealing that everything else within their soul metal forms was indeed hollow. Full of nothing but empty space which could mean many things actually mean a number of things.
Amongst them were the two main theories that floated about in regard to the empty space that was present within the statue form that housed the sentient weapons within them.
The first theory was the more empty space that is present with the statue could be seen as a sign of the overall strength of the weapon itself. It thought the big amount of space the weapon takes up the more powerful the weapon would be. Going by the amount of power their soul possesses after gaining access to various powers that Otherworlders gain through being summoned, that is manifested into tangible physical form through smelting and forging process. The soul is after all being literally turned into a weapon that reflects what their power is and the size of it shown by the literal size of the weapon itself.
The second main theory is that size does not matter as big things can come in small packages after all as the saying goes. Though it is considered to be true that the larger the weapon is the more raw power it has overall that would just be it. It would merely have raw strength and that is it. How to apply that strength and what utility it has would be important factors as well. The one with the most strength is not always the one with the most power after all. Strength is just that strength but power that can be different. Power could be considered the sum of everything that someone is capable of with strength just being a single aspect of their power. Even when it just pits one's strength against another's in anything. How one utilizes their strength could prove to be the deciding factor as just having more strength than anyone else is not going to always give you the win. How you use what strength you have can be just as important as how much of it you have
Regardless these are just two of many theories that floated around regarding sentient weapons. There are as might be as many theories about sentient weapons as there are sentient weapons themselves.
The person that awakened them has been chosen as their owner the twins, now revealed to be a pair of gauntlets, flew onto the hands of their owner and remained there for the time being. They did not move or react to anything at the moment because their owner was unconscious from their landing after they fell into this place. Though they were motionless on their owner they were thinking though rather than speaking to each other they spoke as if they were of one singular mind that just happened to have two different forms. A result of the process that converted them into what they are now.
'Owner has sustained various injuries. Treatment is required to ensure the stability of the owner' the twins thought at the same time as they carried out basic treatment of their owner's injuries on the spot.
This basic treatment was not them using any level of healing that was magic or skill based at all. Using a sentient weapon gave an overall enhancement to those that did thus all the twin were doing was cause their owner's own ability to heal to be accelerated to handle at least the minor injuries they had. Despite falling from such a height they were shocking not that injury though thus this working out.
They would await his orders before doing anything else given. That is what the twins planned on doing until they detected a threat that was nearing their master and acting to at least jolt his consciousness for the moment.
"Huh I am still alive," the person said as he awoke to find himself still amongst the living "At least that is one good thing that has happened to me lately. Nice to know my luck has not fully abandoned me yet though is still being rough with me though"
'When did I get these' they thought as he noticed the gauntlets on his arms and that he could not get them off.
The twins not wanting to be split apart from their new owner that quickly were not allowing themselves to be removed just yet. There was still the threat nearby that the two of them sensed. To be removed from their owner when defending themselves might be required. It would go against their purpose as weapons meant to defend and be used by their owner after all. Not that their owner really tried that hard anyway.
'Whatever these gauntlets like things are supposed to be. They might come in handy as there was a reason I ended up falling down here after all. Having a weapon to defend myself would make sense after all' he thought.
Overlooking the gauntlets on him at the moment they looked more like the combative variety than the defensive type that normally used as armor.
Sighing their owner looked around noticing the door but at the same time, a thought came to him.
'Looking for an exit that way might make the most sense but I do not know where I will end up. Better to not take the chance I ended up further back where I came from than trying to get away from there' he thought
Then he looked up at the hole in the ceiling. That hole was where he had fallen into this place from and looking down at his arms which were wielding the weapons he had somehow found.
"Does not look that I fell down that far so I should be able to climb back up with these...hopefully" he said feeling a power flowing through both him and the gauntlets
'Owner wishes to climb this wall thus assistance will be proved' the twins thought again at the same time
Plunging his hand to the wall of the room he found himself in, he was amazed at how his fingers gripped into what seemed like a solid stone with such ease.
'I might be thinking about keeping these as they could prove useful as more than just weapons' he thought.
