Rangi felt his body failing as he fell down after hitting the ground but that itself collapsed underneath him causing him to fall even more. However, he realized a moment too late that he had to jump away from the pit that was now present under his feet, with nothing to get a hold of because his decedent had already passed ground level at this point. Rangi was unable to attempt just grabbing the edges of the pit itself thus just kept going and going further. Freaking out and hoping he did not just go splat against the group when he finally reached the bottom as his decent downward gave him nothing to slow it down and the area he was falling down it was too wide for him to attempt to spread out so that his arms and legs touch to walls allowing him to stop that way. He was too busy just trying not to possibly die from finally hitting the ground after the time he had been falling. He noticed the statues he was raiding approaching them. When he did notice them however Rangi's outstretched hand managed to come into contact with those of the statues that were directly under him. It was at that moment that something traveled up from the pedestal the two statues were on. Flowing across the statues' forms and into Rangi's hand and across his own body merging within. Leaving an image tattooed directly onto the palm of that hand.
It was also at this moment that used his hand to push himself away from the statues with all his might so that he would land directly on top of them and he managed to crash onto the floor though rather forcefully so it was not as bad as he thought it would be. However, the shock and blow he took from the crash landing did knock him out cold, however. Though Rangi was just lying there, the statues that were holding hands that he had touched to avoid landing on them. They began to crumble as they had instantaneously become fragile and brittle despite being seemingly solid and sturdy from a casual glance. This was not just the hand but the entire body of the two statues began to crumble into pieces revealing their insides were hollow. These two statues were mere shells that contained within them a weapon in the form of a pair of gauntlets. One gauntlet was contained within each statue as the crumbling pieces of their containers were in the form of a pair of statues vanished and the gauntlet themselves appeared on Rangi afterwards.
"Huh I am still alive," the person said as he awoke to find himself still amongst the living "At least that is one good thing that has happened to me lately. Nice to know my luck has not fully abandoned me yet though is still being rough with me though"
'When did I get these and where did those two statues from before going' Rangi thought
He noticed the gauntlets on his arms and that he could not get them off. Along with the absence of the statues that he noticed at the last moment during his fall down into this place.
'Whatever these gauntlets like things are supposed to be. They might come in handy as there was a reason I ended up falling down here after all. Having a weapon to defend myself would make sense after all' he thought.
Overlooking the gauntlets on him at the moment they looked more like the combative variety than the defensive type that normally used as armor.
Sighing Rangi looked around noticing the door but at the same time, a thought came to him.
'Looking for an exit that way might make the most sense but I do not know where I will end up. Better to not take the chance I ended up further back where I came from than trying to get away from there' he thought
Then he looked up at the hole in the ceiling. That hole was where he had fallen into this place from and looking down at his arms which were wielding the weapons he had somehow found.
"Does not look like I fell down rather far considering how long it took me to reach the bottom of whatever this place is. I should be able to climb back up with these...hopefully" he said feeling a power flowing through both him and the gauntlets.
Looking around he could not tell where he was actually as she just knew that he was currently underground and that while it might be a good idea to look around for different ways back to the surface. If he fell through the what he was assuming was the ceiling to this place now. It was possible other places had been caved in as well thus he quite possibly ran into a dead end with no way back. No way back in the chance another cave in happens which he down here if his luck does not continue to hold out on him. Thus looking upwards at the light from the surface, thinking just going back the way he came was better than looking for a different and even possibly easier way back to the surface. The easier way is not always the better or the most efficient way
Plunging his hand to the wall of the room he found himself in, he was amazed at how his fingers gripped into what seemed like a solid stone with such ease.
'I might be thinking about keeping these as they could prove useful as more than just weapons' he thought.
Careful about what these were as he did not know how he got them or even why he could not take them off. Through the power, he fell through them, and just how easily he was able to scale the wall to climb his way back to the surface. Got him wondering if he had managed to come across something he had only heard in passing stories during his travels.
Taking a break away from the hole he climbed out of to collect himself before moving on.
