The surroundings fell silent. The people nearby did not know how to react. People from other lines heading to other clerks did not pay attention to what happened.
The clerk smiled and said: "Mister please do not joke with me. This is a serios question. It is bad to give false information. It can ruin your reputation with the other adventurers."
There was an adventurer that looked like a veteran. He stood behind the duo, and he was clearly not happy with what he heard. He shook his head and said: "If you are what you claim to be then I'm a dancer. Or you know what? I'm a Knight, mage and archer too."
The surrounding adventurers laughed really hard at the cocky newcomer. It also attracted attention from the surroundings and people from outside the line were more engaged in what happened.
"Please just write what I told you and will be on my way. I'm not lying. My name is Max." Max said. He started to get inpatient, and it did not seem to end well for the other side. Derek also started to sweat bullets because he knew what is most likely is going to happen. He knew that if Max will really get mad there is no one here to stop him from going into a rampage. Max also checked the people around and saw that the strongest guy around was a level two knight apprentice. There were no mages around. Also, Max saw only a couple of people with a talent for magic. He was quite surprised by the low amount. He was sure that it will be easier to find someone young that he could raise to be his follower. Now he knew how wrong he was. It was not surprising because they were located in a weak country inside a weak empire. Maybe it was needed to immigrate to a stronger country or empire. Max repressed those thoughts because he was having problem getting a simple ID and it irritated him greatly.
The veteran guy behind them was also a level one apprentice knight. He was pretty tall at a height of 1.9m and had broad shoulders. He was bald with a moustache. He looked like some biker from earth.
The clerk tried to keep her business face and said: "Please state your real data so I can enter the information relevant, and you will be on your way. There are people waiting in line."
"Thats right! If you came here to play some kind of games move to the side. We don't have much time to play around with you." The adventurer behind the duo was getting impatient and tried to grab Max by his shoulder to get him into his senses. That was the wrong idea altogether.
The moment he grabbed Max Derek instantly moved to the side. The biker guy thought that he intimidated Derek but then Max grabbed the arm that grabbed him from behind and squeezed it hard. The sounds of bones breaking could be heard with the adventurer screaming like crazy: "Ahhh!! You bastard! Let me go! I will call my adventurer team, "The hawks" and you will pay for what you've done."
Max was done playing the nice guy and he got into his usual style. He said in a low voice: "Give me the ID card. If you don't, I just prove to you that I'm a knight, mage and an archer but you won't like what you will see. I don't like speaking with disabled people in the head."
The attendant didn't think too much and screamed: "Guards there is an emergency here. Come and escort this gentleman outside the adventurer guild. Also, he will need to pay a fee to compensate "The bear" from "the hawks" adventurer team." The clerk knew that this burly guy screaming in pain and anger at Max was a high D rank adventurer that was close getting into the C rank. It was better to side with a such a veteran then some unknown strong dude.
The ranks of the adventurers are F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS from the lowest rank to the highest. Generally, an adventurer will start from rank F. F rank adventurers are considered on probation. If they will not do 10 assignments in half a year time their adventurers guild card will be confiscated and their status as an adventurer will be abolished. Also, they will need to pay a fee of one silver coin to make a new guild card. From rank E and higher you don't have any limitation towards the amount of assignments you need to take. You can take mission one rank higher than what you have been given. After ten successful missions completed you can apply for a promotion. You can promote by defeating or holding on for some time against an instructor of the level you want to promote to. You can't jump ranks usually.
Max got tired of all this. He was done talking. He used the zap skill of the lightning element to shock the burly biker guy and the effect was really strong. Some other adventurer fell with the burly guy because he was in contact with him while Max was using the zap skill. Both fell and started to convulse violently on the floor. They could not really deal with a mage level skill. It was strong enough to shock grand knight so there was no real chance for them to get away. Max decreased the power level of this skill and that was the only reason they did not die. The guards of the adventurer's guild were making their way to the counter with grim faces. It was not something usual happening in the adventurer's guild, so they wanted to make the stranger and the other people watching to learn a lesson. They were all on a level one knight apprentices. They could contend with most problems that could arise, but nothing prepared them with what was going to happened.
"I'm done. Alright you shitters. I will prove to you that I'm a knight, mage and archer in the hard way." Max said.
While he was saying that the guard got closer and shouted: "Surrender right now or we use force!"
"Alright then. I will start from the mage class. Who want to eat my fireball?!" Max started to scream and materialized a big version of a fireball.
