The chair was almost toppled down when Mu Yang suddenly stood up from his seat. His hands were slightly trembling out of excitement and for a second, his mind could only repeat the word "Bao Bei" like a broken record.
Seeing his artist act unusually, Lin Aotian was startled. "What's wrong?" He approached the seemingly agitated man and asked in a whisper.
"Bro, look! Someone made this thread and posted it to defend me. But, look! How did this person know that I have promised myself to my Bao Bei?" Mu Yang showed the post to his manager, ignoring the look people gave him.
Lin Aotian had read the thread, of course, but he didn't notice anything unusual from it.
Noticing the bewildered look on his manager's face, Mu Yang kindly pointed it out to him. "It said 'Bao Bei'. You see?"
"It's normal, right? Who didn't call their love one as Bao Bei?" Lin Aotian still didn't understand.
Seeing that his manager still didn't get what he mean, Mu Yang decided to be kind and explain it to him. "It's written in English. Normal people would use 'lover' or 'girlfriend' or even 'future wife' but the one who wrote this thread had specifically used the word 'Bao Bei' instead of those words. Tell me, is it just coincidence or the one who wrote it really my Bao Bei?"
Lin Aotian sighed deeply as soon as he heard Mu Yang's explanation. Alright, he must admit that it was suspicious but it was more believable to think that it was a coincidence than to decide it was Nana who made that thread.
"I think it's just a coincidence."
Mu Yang frowned. Since his manager said so, he didn't want to argue about it with him. This clue might be untrustworthy, but he was willing to check on anything that could relate to her.
Investigate! Of course he must investigate it!
As soon as Lin Aotian returned to his seat, Mu Yang tapped open a contact number that he had not had a chance to use and found a secluded place to call the owner of the contact number.
It was the contact number of a private investigator.
"Can you find someone who is not in our country?"
[Well, it depends. Do you have any information that I can use?]
"I have pictures and name. But, I don't know her full name. Also, can you find the original writer of a thread?"
[It's easy. Just send me what you got.]
"Alright." After sending all the information he got and negotiated the price, he was told to wait for a week.
It was just for a week, he told himself. He would patiently wait. After all, he had waited for months without any clues. A week was nothing if he could get the information about her condition.
However, the private investigator and Mu Yang clearly underestimated Nana's personality. Even after a week, the private investigator didn't find anything about her. He found the account that Nana used to post the thread. But, he couldn't find anything about her. She didn't post any of her pictures, no relationship, no repost about her working environment. Even the name and account didn't use her names. If it was not her real account, then she was truly thorough, careful, and discipline to create a whole new and different account dedicated fully for entertainment.
It was like they met a person, but that person didn't even exist. Or, this person was just a shadow of a living person. But, they couldn't find the connection between the shadow and the person.
It was frustrating, but for Mu Yang it was a step closer. After all, he finally got Nana's account. Even if it was a second account, but it was still managed by her. He couldn't get her living address info, but at least he knew how to contact her now.
It was spring in the Capital City. Winter had just passed so the weather was still a bit cold even when it was spring. Mu Yang had just returned from Apollo headquarters for a week and he was resting in his own apartment, the place where he had most of his memories with Nana. Again, he was staring at his messages in his inbox.
The grey ticks beside his messages were irritating no matter how many times he saw them. There was no sign it would change color from grey ticks to double blue ticks. It has been a week since he sent those messages but the other party didn't seem to check on her inbox daily.
His hands counted something silently and a frown appeared on his handsome face.
If he succeeded in knocking her up, she would be giving birth soon. She should have told him that she was pregnant and not hiding it from him! What if she endured everything all by herself? How was she feeling all these months?
But, what if she wasn't pregnant?
That's impossible! He was sure that he was healthy and he made sure to let out all of 'it' inside. He was also sure that Nana was healthy. There was no reason that she wouldn't get pregnant after all that the two of them did.
What if she aborted the child?
No, that couldn't be! Nana wasn't a person who would do such thing.
So, why didn't she contact him?
No, he should find her real account. Maybe he could find out whether she was pregnant or not. There's no way she wouldn't post something about maternity things or even their baby.
Maybe that was why she couldn't reply to any of his messages. Maybe she was busy with the labor and their baby.
Even if he said, he couldn't suppress the frustration and stifling feeling he had inside. He had clearly told her to contact him if she felt unwell. He wanted to be with her during the pregnancy. He even prepared himself, he knew that pregnant woman could be pretty irrational and needy.
But, during these several months, he was busy with his works. Despite his longing for her and his bustling activities, he must admit that he had forgotten the matter that he had tried to make Nana pregnant. Only after he had his days off that he remembered.
It was embarrassing for him to forget about such thing when he was the one who eagerly want it to happen.
Mu Yang massaged his head gently. He was starting to feel frustrated with the lack of information. His initial gratitude when he finally found the owner of the thread turned into another headache since he remembered about his decision months ago.
Why didn't it go as he planned?
But, if she was really pregnant and contacted him, would he leave his work to be with her? Of course, he would take a week off and pick her up then bring her around with him during his work so that he could take care of her at the same time.
What should he do now, then? Private investigators had limitation to how much information they could collect and how far they would do to collect it. Not to mention they had met a big wall. How could he find her information now?
"Legal private investigators couldn't find the information that I want. What can I do?"
Mu Yang typed his question and asked the netizens as his last resort. In a few minutes, some people had posted an answer.
[Brother, are you chasing a criminal?]
[What kind of information are you looking for? Private Investigators are all capable people, any information that they can't get can be obtained through illegal means. But if it's criminal, you can't use any information that you get illegally to sue them.]
[That's right. You should think twice before you use illegal means.]
What illegal means? Mu Yang frowned, but he kept scrolling the list of answers.
[Bro, who are you chasing?]

Mu Yang : " ... "
"My Wife."
[Brother, why are you investigating your own wife?]
[Did she escape with your money?]
[Did she cheat on you?! You investigated her to bring her to jail, right?]
[Poor you! That shameless woman must be having fun with your money and her new man!]
[Bro, I know a hacker! Let's find out where she is and expose her! We need to bring this kind of woman down! Whoever you are, I pity you, brother! But, don't worry, we won't let this kind of woman get away with light punishment!]
[Fxck that woman! That kind of woman is disgusting! Hope you get a better one, bro!]
Mu Yang's expression darkened as soon as he saw how the people scolded his sweetheart.
"She isn't a criminal! It's complicated!"
[Then, bro, you must be in the wrong! What did you do? Did you hit her? No wonder she left you!]
Mu Yang: !!!! These people!
