Ever since he asked the netizens about what he should do, Mu Yang had asked around in hope to find a reliable hacker to do the job.
And yes, he found one.
His name was LowKey, but he wasn't really lowkey in real life. He loved traveling which made him a perfect private investigator who could work anywhere.
Mu Yang knew him from his manager. As soon as they had a deal on the fees, LowKey went straight to work and sent him a profile to make sure he got the right person.
Of course, he found the right person!
"She is pretty much a strict person. Who could use two separate account for years without giving a hint that those two are owned by one person? There should be at least one similar or related post between those two, but she had none. No wonder your previous private investigator couldn't find her." LowKey puffed out white smoke from his mouth when he talked to Mu Yang after he sent the profile.
"Get me all information about her. Can you do that?" Mu Yang stared at the pictures in his hand.
"Of course. I'll make sure to get you all about her." LowKey smirked and hang up.
Mu Yang put down his phone and caressed the picture in his hand with adoration in his eyes.
LowKey had sent him five pictures along with the profile. It was all taken after she returned to her country and three of them showed her with other people. From all the people around her, Mu Yang only felt an irk towards one person.
"Can you send me information about this man?" He asked LowKey.
"Sure." LowKey responded and within an hour, he had sent a complete profile of that man.
His name was Wira and shockingly, he was Nana's ex-boyfriend! The fire of jealousy in Mu Yang's eyes blazed uncontrollably.
If it's not for the timely arrival of his manager, Mu Yang would have gone to get back his girl!
The only thing that put out the fire for a while was the next information LowKey sent him in the following week.
Nana's childhood, her teenage years, her adulthood, her job, and... her family. LowKey even got a copy of Nana's sister's conversation on the phone with her mother, complaining about how Nana was being selfish for letting her, the big sister, going out by taxi instead of driving her to her destination. Nana was the only one who could drive in their house and at that time, she wasn't feeling well. Later on, because she forced herself to be her sister's chauffeur, she got pretty much ill.
And, that wasn't the first and the last her sister treated her like that.
Mu Yang swallowed the lump in his throat. His nose soured a bit and he had to take a deep breath to calm himself before he continued reading the report.
After reading all of the pages, Mu Yang realized the reason why Nana was so calm and ambitionless. Her ambition only revolved around her own interest which wouldn't include other people in it. She was pretty simple. She didn't know how to hold someone back even if letting go meant to get hurt.
Was that why she didn't hesitate to cut off any contact with him?
Heartless girl.
Mu Yang snorted lightly but his eyes were filled with love.
Starting from that point, Mu Yang resolutely decided and planned what he would do and what he aimed for.
While he was still accepting information about Nana from LowKey, he worked hard to earn money for his plan.
Yes, money. He needed much more money in order to make his plan run smoothly. He wanted to make sure everything was provided for when he got his girl later.
He needed a foolproof plan that would make her stay with him willingly and at ease.
He needed connection and position that would ensure she was taken care of and protected while being with him.
He wouldn't let anyone hurt her, including her own family. So, he built his own network, sharpened his skills, and created a path for the both of them.
However, it wasn't easy. There were times when he wanted to abandon everything and pick her up because of the intimacy he felt from the pictures of Nana and Wira that LowKey was providing him every week. They weren't hugging or holding hands, but the familiarity between them making them looked at ease with each other company.
Out of jealousy, Mu Yang had even asked LowKey whether they had spent the night together before. The answer was a solid "no" from LowKey -Mu Yang cheered then felt guilty for doubting her.
After a series of self introspection, he returned to his resolution to create a better life for his girl.
"Wait for a bit. Just for a bit." Mu Yang caressed the picture in his hand. He had hold back for more than a year and drowned in vinegar every time he saw pictures of her with Wira.
Not long after he successfully made his biggest move, he got a text from LowKey. His original plan to wait for a little bit disappeared into the wind. Mu Yang called his manager to book him a flight ticket -which, of course, was denied by his manager since he had an important schedule on the next day, and day after that.
"Then, what do you suggest me to do now? My Bao Bei is going to be snatched away if I don't get to her quickly!" Mu Yang yelled in frustration.
"What do you mean?" Lin Aotian frowned.
Mu Yang groaned and dropped his butt on his couch. "Her ex came back. He wanted to propose to her." He said. Frustration and helplessness were clear in his voice. He really wanted to fly to her side, to pull her into his arms again, to show others that she already had a lover. A future husband.
Him. Yang Yichen.
"Yichen, let's hold that thought for a bit and tell me exactly what's going on."
