Their return trip to Capital City went smooth. Mu Yang was smiling from ear to ear after they checked out of their hotel. After Nana agreed to his request, Mu Yang felt his mood was elevated to the point he could confidently say that it was the happiest day of his life.
"Are you okay?" Mu Yang's smile diminished when he saw Nana's pale face.
"It's okay." Nana waved her hand weakly. But, her pale face didn't look convincing at all. Not to mention, her voice sounded so weak and her eyes seemed to lose focus.
Mu Yang obviously didn't buy her words. It's just at the right time the rest area was nearby. Mu Yang drove the car towards the quiet rest area and parked the car somewhere safe. After making sure the car was parked safely, he unfastened his seat belt and leaned towards Nana worriedly.
Her hand was slightly cold but damp. She was frowning, fighting against the discomfort. Inside her heart, Nana was cursing her motion sickness. Why would it happen when she was with Mu Yang? It's embarrassing!
"Bao Bei, it's okay, it's okay. I'm here. You should've told me if you feel unwell. It's okay. You can tell me." Mu Yang rubbed her hand gently. Distress was clear in his eyes as he could only watch helplessly as his girlfriend bit her lips tightly to avoid letting out her whining voice.
Nana opened her tightly shut eyes, and looked at the distress Mu Yang. Swallowing the bitterness in her throat, she asked him, "Water, please."
"Water? Okay. Here you go." Mu Yang took a bottle of water he prepared before and handed it to her after uncapping it.
Nana shook her head. "Cold water." She said apologetically.
Mu Yang nodded his head. "I'll get it for you." He said quickly as he got out from the car and ran towards the vending machine. Minutes later, he returned with a bottle of cold water in his hand. Unscrewing the cap, he put the cold bottle in her hand.
Nana mustered her strength and took a sip slowly. The coldness entered her stomach, slightly dissipating the discomfort in her stomach and throat. Her complexion gradually turned better, but she still needed to treat the core of the problem.
"How are you feeling?" His hand rubbed her cheeks tenderly.
"I'm okay. Thank you." His warm hands felt soothing against her cold skin. Nana unconsciously leaned towards that warmth. "Sorry for making you worried. It's just motion sickness." She confessed while hiding her face in his big hand.
Mu Yang chuckled. "Motion sickness can be dangerous, too, you know?"
"Don't be ridiculous." Nana smiled.
"Do you want to eat something?" Mu Yang asked again.
"I'll be fine." Nana reached for her snacks and found something to soothe her upset stomach. Since it wasn't the first time, she knew what she could and couldn't eat or drink. In no time, she felt even better and urged Mu Yang to continue driving.
After making sure that Nana was fine and making her promise that she would tell him whenever she felt discomfort, Mu Yang then drove away from the rest area towards the Capital City.
Two hours later, they arrived at an apartment building. Mu Yang went to the underground parking lot to park his car. Then, he guided Nana towards the building with their suitcases in his hands. His apartment was on the 11th floor so it took a couple of minutes for them to reach their destination.
"Welcome! Please, make yourself at home." Mu Yang grinned happily after they entered his apartment. He took out another pair of slippers from the hidden shoe cabinet in the entrance and put it in front of Nana.
"Put it on. I'll show you around." He had asked his manager to buy two pairs of couple slippers and put them in his new apartment. He even had his manager clean the whole area of apartment before they returned. His wanted to make Nana feel secure and comfortable in his house.
"This is the main bedroom. My bedroom, of course. You're going to sleep with me here." He introduced the room proudly while pushing the door open. He spent so much efforts in designing his bedroom, of course he was proud with himself.
"I thought I'd get a guest room." Nana said innocently.
"No way!" Mu Yang turned to face her with widened eyes. "Bao Bei, do you hate me now?" His puppy eyes were looking straight at the girl.
"I don't." Her casual reply made Mu Yang feel like he wanted to beg her.
"You do! Why do you want to sleep in the guest room, then? You don't want to sleep with me anymore!"
"It just crossed my mind." She shrugged her shoulders and walked past him towards the big bed in the center of the room. "If you want me to sleep here, then fine." She sat on the bed and smiled at him, feigning ignorance towards his complaint.
Mu Yang approached her in wide steps. He dropped to his knees in front of her and pawed on her hands while looking up to meet her eyes. "Bao Bei, do you seriously not want me anymore?" He asked aggrievedly.
"What kind of thought is that? When did I tell you that?" Nana was speechless hearing his ridiculous questions.
"You just said you wanted to sleep in the guest room."
"I just casually said that. After all, I'm a guest here."
"Nonsense." Mu Yang hastily interrupted. "But, in a sense, you're right. You are my guest. But the moment you entered this room, you're not a guest anymore."
"Then, what am I?" Feeling curious, Nana asked that question. What kind of guest changed their position in a house just because they stepped into the main bedroom?
Mu Yang pondered for a bit. "The lady of the house." He said after thinking for a while.
Nana chuckled. Did he even realize what he was talking about? Wasn't that position a bit difficult to achieve?
