The next morning hit hard as all of them were too tired to get up, some would say it's a perk of boys but in this case, this was the habit of the three brothers. After some time of oversleeping, they finally got up and freshened up. They all reunited at the dining table to have some breakfast as this time Chef Barry had prepared their meal to which Alan and Gabriel were impressed and enjoyed the meal.
After their meal they decided to head to their lawn to practice before heading out, all of them changed into their basic clothes so their uniform won't get dirty and made their way toward the lawn, Alan and Gabriel sparred while Barry sat on a boulder meditating and gently releasing his aura to gain even better control over it.
Alan and Gabriel had an impressive friendly battle in which Alan won by just a few punches and secured the victory. Barry had done his meditation as well and signaled the boys to return home to take a bath and wear their uniform for the day.
So once again the boys refreshed themselves and decided to head out before gently petting Barry's cat and leaving the villa.
"Where are we headed for today, Barry?", asked Alan while joining his pace on the sidewalk.
"The same area where I saved you, we got patrolling duty today, quite boring I know", answered Barry.
Alan accepted his decision and decided to tag along until they made their way to a dense lush forest filled with vines and moss all over the trees. They slowly made their way inside until they saw a paved path and took that as their main path. Alan on the other hand was irritated for some reason and wanted to take something out of his chest but couldn't find the best time to talk about it, Until now...
As the trio were walking through the route, Gabriel got a little hungry and decide to take out some fruits from his backpack to fill his hunger. But before he could even take a bite a bunch of monkeys lunged at him with no mercy in their eyes and started to snatch the fruit, but Gabriel being stubborn didn't let go and caused a fight over some fruits with some monkeys.
Barry and Alan laughed at the situation and continued their journey, but Alan got his moment to talk with Barry alone, while Gabriel was distracted.
"Umm, Barry can I talk to you about something that's been bothering me for quite a while?", asked Alan.
"Sure, pal anytime so tell me what's up", replied Barry.
"It that I have questions from my life that I couldn't get answers to, like when the shadows attacked my clan why did they let me go, I remember them killing my parents in front of me and they saw but they let me go, why?" asked Alan.
"Hmm, I'm so sorry for your loss and as far as your question is concerned I think that maybe you passed something that the whole clan wasn't aware of" answered Barry.
"I don't know about that except that when we first battled with Hazel and Shelby something awake...", said Alan before collapsing to the ground with blood coming out of his mouth.
Barry immediately grabbed him and tried to get a hold of him, but it was of no use as Alan was unconscious and a yellow aura started to leak out from his body.
[meanwhile in Alan's conscious]
He was transported to a dark room with no visible direction, before he could even say something a hand grabbed him from above as it covered its mouth.
"Don't..ever say my name in front of those punks, you weak bastard", said Kenta only to punch him in the stomach which made him wake up to reality.
Alan woke up in a trauma and his Blood pressure was quite high, Barry took out some water and gave it to him and made him rest near a tree to gain his health back. Gabriel also joined them and assisted Alan in his state.
After some while of resting, he finally got up and decided to continue the journey as he didn't want to hold the mission due to him. They carried on the mission with Barry holding Alan's arm around his shoulder and supporting him while Gabriel walked behind them in a distance to look out for any commotion.
"Barry, have you ever fought demons?" asked Alan.
Barry was shocked to hear Alan talk about something he didn't even expect.
"Um, I haven't fought one, but I have heard some tales where great warriors fought them with some losing their lives until a group finally defeated them but their energy still remained as it was not perishable and the masters of that time hid those demons energy in the depth of the land and since then no incident of a demon encounter has been heard."
Alan was quite astonished to hear that there was more than one demon in this world that could cause destruction and chaos and unluckily he was given one of them, but he couldn't tell anyone about it or else he would have to pay with his own body.
The team completed their lookout around the perimeter and didn't find something of interest except an old lady who forgot her way home and Barry helped her. After a tiring day, they decided to head back home and rest for the night, On their way back they could hear the cheering of people as the new people were coming today to control the light residency but the trio couldn't be bothered as they were too tired to go and watch and instead made their way home.
They reached home and turned on the light to reveal a ball of fluff waiting for them on the bean bag Barry grabbed it and rested it on his lap.
"Hmm, we still don't know what to name him?", said Barry.
Before they could say anything they heard a knock on the door which revealed to be a messenger who had brought a message from the new government that they wanted to meet the trio first thing in the morning and after reciting the message he left the house.
The trio exhaled dramatically as they needed to wake up early in the morning, something they weren't good at.
