(Connor POV)
After a lengthy speech about the importance of preparing for our trip and our new school life. She told us that we were brought here before everyone else who'll be attending the school. We all looked around to find that these long alleys were practically empty except for a few people passing by.
She began to walk towards a glassed walled building with dark wood. As we walked in, written above curved glass wall was written "Ollivaders".
As we walked inside the old professor began conversing with the elderly looking shopkeep. He looked at all of us and gave me quite a puzzled look. Though I couldn't care less about what he thought and started look at the boxs lining the walls.
He began pulling boxes off the shelves for the other students and nodded to himself approvingly. Then his sight fell upon me. I stared deep into his being trying to figure out what the fuck is happening, but as soon as I opened my mouth I found us all outside of the shop.
I looked around at the other kids who were ogling at there their boxes before McGonagall spoke up.
"Now that you have your wands you'll need a familiar," she said plainly before walking off into a store that had cages pressed towards the store front windows.
Walking towards the shop I found a long wooden box just like the other kid's boxes hidden in a inner pocket in my cloak. As I started to open it, I found nothing but a note saying to check my back pocket. Which I immediately did to find nothing in either pocket, but I did feel a familiar third hidden pocket, hiding a very deadly surprise.
As we walked inside the store for our familiars, we saw regular creatures inside these cages. There were cats and toads, even owls hanging in cages from the ceiling. But what truly caught my attention was lone standing tree stand with a beautiful bald eagle sitting on its limb. The bird wore a hood hovering its eyes and had a leather strap connecting him to the tree limb.
As I strode towards him, the shopkeep wearily called out to me," Be careful he's not fully calm yet so he may bite," while dealing with the other four kids.
This eagle was 3 feet tall and had a beautiful mane of white head feathers. As I got closer I could see him start looking around until his head, though covered, was looking directly at me, "I'll take him," I hollered at the shopkeeper who just nodded at my statement.
As we left the store I was given a large leather falconer glove and the leather strap he was attached to. The eagle jumped from the tree he was standing onto my big glove, and we left the store heading towards an underground passage which she told us will bring us to the school. As we all followed behind her I noticed that the 3 girls all got small cats which they were all holding and petting, while Derrick held a large cage holding a very grumpy looking owl.
I took our time walking towards and through the tunnels to take off my eagle's hood and understand it. We start at each before I said, "Your name, is now Freedom," to which I got a very happy look from the eagle, a disgusted look from the girls and nod of understanding from Derrick.
As we looked ahead there was a fork in the road to which Professor McGonagall turned and looked at us, "Now you all will head this way," she said pointing towards the tunnel heading, "While I go down this way, all of your academic materials will be waiting at the school, this is our first time with students from the western hemisphere so we brought you all here a month before all the rest of the students so to can settle in. You have the special lessons during that month to try and help you better cope in this new world. I wish you the best of luck."
Before I could speak I was practically dragged by the rest of the group towards the way of our new school life. I've never been to a proper school before, let alone a weird one for mentally ill people who believe in magic. They somehow drugged me and made me see weird things but I just have to go with it. I have to follow my pact, first rule don't kill civies. So I'm stuck with a gang of weirdos who are super excited to do whatever the hell waits for us down this road.
