I woke up from the first beep of the alarm. I wanted to sleep longer but I can't so that when I have a boyfriend ti take care of. Honestly, I'm still sleepy because I could not sleep last night. How could I when Axel was awake almost all night? What's worse is that he wasn't saying anything. It just seemed like he was going through some series of episodes that I can't get to understand. I'd used to him talking less but now it's even like he doesn't wanna talk. We stayed up until almost dawn but he didn't say a word. He wasn't talking. I tried to say some random things but he seemed out of the mood so I just had to stay by his side though I dozed off countless times. Speaking of him, why is he not in the bed? I couldn't feel him and I turned to his side and he wasn't there at all. I got off the bed and checked the bathroom and he wasn't there. I rushed downstairs but he wasn't in the leaving room either.
"Hey, have you seen Axel?" I asked Mrs. Haerin our house assistant. She was carrying a tray with a small cup on it on her way to the kitchen.
"Morning sir, yes he has just finished taking his coffee and gone to the yard outside, he said he likes it bitter, at first I was worried but he insisted" Wait, did she just say coffee? Bitter coffee? How can he do that to me? Why is he doing this?
"Sir? What's wrong, are you okay?" Mrs. Haerin asked after watching her boss's behavior. He was scratching his head hairs so hard and he looked so upset and yet mixed with emotions.
"DON'T EVER SERVE HIM COFFEE AGAIN NO MATTER HOW MUCH HE PLEADS, CLEAR ALL PACKETS OF COFFEE IN THE HOUSE NOW" He said in a much louder and commanding voice than he had expected.
Mrs. Haerin nodded and then bowed even though she didn't understand why she had been told that. She didn't see his reaction as he drank the coffee so she ruled out the possibility that he might be allergic to it. Evel rushed upstairs and got the antihistamines and some water downstairs and then rushed out to the yard. He found him seated in a rocking chair comfortably. He wasn't searching himself but his eyes were closed. Then he saw his hands, then he saw the skin rashes and blotches of red skin on his hands, he was wearing a t-shirt, a black one that belonged to Evel. He was mad at him but just the sight of him like this makes him feel bad.
"Can you open your eyes and talk to me?.... Baby?..." He said after squatting next to his boyfriend and running his fingers on his hair.
"I wanna know what's going on, why you like this? Why you doing this? Why are you hurting yourself, baby? Tell me did I do something?" He asked and Axel opened his eyes. A little surprised that Evel was there.
"Have this first.... no need to hide your hands, have already seen it" he said and handed the meds to his boyfriend. Axel didn't want to take them but he just didn't want Evel's efforts to go to waste and he didn't want to start a fight with his boyfriend either because he didn't like it. Once he was done he placed the glass on a wood round table next to where he was seated.
"Can you please talk to me? Tell me what's going on, I can help you... I want to help you, it's hurting me that you are like this..... why did you drink the coffee? Baby you know you can talk to me, right? Km here huh, I'm right here please talk to me what's going on? Last night you stayed awake up to dawn... I feel bad you know" Evel said trying to control his emotions and tears falling but it wasn't helping at all.
"There was no milk and I wanted to drink something... I'm good" he said staring at his boyfriend with eyes that looked so innocent. So innocent that you could think that he wasn't lying. Evel just looked at him and nodded.
"Don't do that again okay?" he said even though he knew that his boyfriend had forged a lie. The kitchen was filled with milk but it looked like Axel didn't want to talk about it.
"Should I take you to the hospital... we can get your blood tested and know the level of caffeine in it... just to be sure you are on the safe side" he said after a little while of silence. He didn't want the caffeine to be tested alone but also the level of other drugs that his boyfriend might be taking.
"I hate the hospital... I'm going to meet Felix later" Axel said and then got up and headed back to the house.
It was now the time for Evel's head to hurt. He felt it itch so much that he scratched it again. Why was he so mindless? He didn't even seem to care about anything, unlike yesterday when he was all happy. He then picked his phone and called Mr. Chin.
"Sir, I'm free, just tell me what I need to know about your son... I want to start helping him as soon as I can.... might get caught up by work later" he said to the person on the line.
"Why don't we get a cup of coffee during the weekend? There's much to talk about" Mr. Chin answered back.
"Can't it be today or tomorrow?" he asked.
"No, I'm really caught up but ill schedule a meeting with you during the weekend..." he said back and Evel nodded.
"Okay, sir... Have a nice day" he said and hang up the phone immediately. Would the weekend come sooner? How was he going to survive the whole week when his boyfriend is like this? He doesn't even know the kind of drugs he takes and he doesn't even know how to start a conversation with him about it. He knew that Felix must know something but he doesn't like him, the guy is cute and jealousy eats him up when he is mentioned. He doesn't seem like a good person either, he seems like a spoiled rich kid and he must be into drugs too.
"Hey, Shin... Are you busy? Can we meet up later?" He asked after calling Shin.
"Okay, I'll send you the details" He said and sat on the rocking chair.
